NAILED IT! It’s unfortunate that at least in the market I work in (DFW) a lot of roofing companies don’t know how to train anyone. They just hire anyone off the streets, hand them biz cards & send them on their way. Then they wonder why most of the new people quit.
It's sadly way too common... and one of the reasons so many people fail. IMO it's not ethical to do that. You're gambling with other people's livelihood!
I would love to open a satellite office in DFW! Are you looking for better training / smaller company? I've worked in Dallas before along with other markets and currently own a company in Chicago.
I just got hired in Fort Worth and that’s what I got. I’ve managed a remodel personally and was told this position was for a project manager. Instead, I got told in the interview I have to door knock to find my projects. They gave me some cards and t shirts and told good luck 🙄 I’m likely just going to get my RE license
I just started in DFW, and I'm in the middle of week two. I've had some training, but I was expecting more before I hit the streets. I'm definitely going to purchase your program once I land a contract.
@@Dhill.angelI it's a slow uphill climb to build your pipeline. The main part that sucks is how long insurance takes to pay out, and that's if they pay out.
Hey Adam, what are hours/length of day typicall like for a new roofing sales person? Im very interested in applying to job postings around here in CLT where I live but Im single and have a dog at home so Im a little anxious about being gone for more than 8-9 hours a day.
Days can get very, very long. But with the right structure you can either bring your dog along, or stop home for let outs. A good rule of thumb is that you're working hours will follow daylight hours. More in the summer. Less in the winter.

They want them to push insurance contracts through for small upfronts and then send to legal teams so they can fire the reps and steal the backend

Thank you! Very helpful. I’m the sales manager of a fast growing team and appreciate all of the advice.
Glad it was helpful!

That’s literally what my company BCR is doing (Best Choice Roofing) is telling us to watch roof strategist.

Culture of honor! 👏🏼
This is awesome! Typically how long//how many days do you plan for steps 1-5 before you’re in the field shadowing?
1-2 days per step as needed should be a great starting point. Adjust as needed for your company ;)
Brand new here 👋 thanks for the information!
Searched 'Roleplay RUclips' and came up with results I wish I didn't see. Guidance needed 😂
