Dmitry, have seen many of your videos on YT and I really like the way you dig into products and learn them completely before you recommend them to others... you are the one the THE BEST reviewers on Roofing!! Your YT videos are the BEST! thank you! I Agree about copper, after reading about zinc to copper comparisons It looks like copper is better! Also good research on CopperCat product. I found them by accident too but was really impressed with quality of their product (99% pure copper vs other products at90-92%) and even holes in CopperCat strip that double the space falling rain can run over both top/bottom of the copper strip and pull off more Copper ions to protect your roof... NOT a CHEAP product but I think a very GOOD one... you get what you pay for w. the coppercat product
Good product. I've been using a similar product for years. 3" wide zinc strips. 1/2 of it is a nailer area that the ridgecap hides. I pop a ridgecap line, nail the strips on, then the ridge cap.
Pabco has the algae defender shingles with copper in them. Wonder if the outcome is still the same and would eliminate the need for a product like this.
A few manufacturers have a higher copper content and can keep black streaks off. We are installing an Atlas Scotchgard shingle next week and the homeowner still opted for Copper Cat strios to keep the moss growth down. Shingles help significantly, but Copper Cat can handle where problems are beyond streaking.
Dmitry, I agree it looks better, but still not great. I've used RMR86, immediate solution. 1 month in, shingles still look great because it seems to stick on the shingles even after some rain events. Still early testing, but homeowner loves it.
I've been looking for someone in Central MA to do this job or even just a strip of copper on ridge but they rarely even bother to drop by for a quote. I'm guessing they would rather replace the roof. Would I be better off looking for a handyman who can provide proof-of-insurance since my roof isn't that steep to begin with? While this seems like it could be a DIY job, a few mistakes with the hammer and I have a bigger headache to deal with.
They have one. It’s part of the system. You buy liquid for quick removal, and you keep strips long term. Combination of both or just any of the two can be used, depending on roof condition
Watching all your videos and transferring some of your knowledge to my business. In nz you would be closed down for no saftey equipment. Business is so hard when you need to be continuously roped and harness
Lmao shout out to BDR !

One worry is that RMR86 is basically Sodium Hypochorite which I think is just BLEACH.... how will that impact shingles long term?

Never seen this product, pretty cool. Do you have any recommendations for a liquid quick algae remover?

We always use safety equipment. Sometimes camera ads few pounds on me and hides my harness, but it always there!
Pretty good job standing there talking and looking cool. But not enough action on the cleaning
Nice
That oxide run-off, is also healthy to flower beds and people, and dangerous to weeds !!
