The doctor tells me your fever has gotten worse. They say this infection may kill you. Even if it doesn't, my doctor tells me again and again that you may never wake. And yet, I wait. I grew up quite poor. We lived in the hills. In a place my brothers built from things they found. Metal sheeting, plywood. When it rained, it smelled like hay. We were always hungry. But there was a lucuma tree. Scrawny. Barely alive. My family had given up on it years before. Never bore fruit. When I was seven, I became fixated on it. I watered it, tended to it. It took a long time, but the buds grew into green fruit. I was so proud. I didn't tell anyone. I plucked one and hid behind our shack. I ate the whole thing, I'd never tasted something so sweet. It was like caramel. At first, we ate the fruit ourselves. And then I began taking it to the village to sell. One day, much of the fruit was gone from my tree. Pieces were scattered on the ground, half-eaten. I thought it was probably a coati. Have you ever seen one? About the size of a large house cat. Opportunists. I built a snare, using branches and wire. It didn't take long for the animal to set it off. But the coati trashed so hard it broke out of the snare. Broke its leg as well. I tried to grab it, but it slipped away. It ran under the house. I knew it would show itself sooner or later. So I waited, for hours, into the night. When my brothers called for me, I did not answer. I didn't make a sound. I was so still. Finally, it came out. It knew I was there, but it was hungry. This time, I was ready. I caught it. It fought me, but I was stronger. Mongooses were introduced to islands in Croatia to kill snakes, which did work, however mongooses are real generalist animals who will hunt a lot, and hunt what's the easiest; that includes amphibians and other reptiles, which they were killing before snakes. One of my favourite builds that can take over less competitive servers. Something interesting with the most gregarious mongooses is that there isn't really a dominance hierarchy. Crazy that the venom meta was so oppressive that the Devs felt the need to add a direct counter. I wonder if there's any correlation with the Human faction of the Irish server?
The meerkat faction holds a dear spot to my heart... but it's tough as nails to crack into a clan that accepts you as a solo/rogue meerkat. I think this is the faction I played and replayed the most. The most sought after clan everyone wanted to join at the time was the Whiskers. A clan so numerous only the few elite ones managed to get inside it and get mentored by one - if not - the absolute MVP of the meerkat faction hands down prior to her departure, Flower. Wish I had the honor to meet her whilst playing in the Kalahari meta. Girl was insane, did her usual daily tasks besides a handful of side quests, made sure the clan was well knit and that no intruder was ever supposed to come close to the newbies, alert to the core, a mother figure to the bone and insane on the battlefield along her partner in crime Zaphod and her family. Her clan was unbeatable, it was easily the largest around at around 50 something members and the story of her adopting one young newbie from a different clan into the Whiskers after they got booted from the server is what essentially solidified Flower as a one of a kind. It broke the elitism in the meerkat community in a way no one ever predicted it, the forums went WILD when they heard about it. If there is one I'm still looking in awe at their progress in the meta to this very day, it's gotta be her. She still remains THE player of reference when it comes to the meerkat build, specifically the matriarch build in a meerkat clan. Saw no words other than praise on her name from other veteran meerkat players, as she absolutely deserves. Flower, you're dearly missed. No one ever did it like you. Thank you for covering the mongooses faction, TierZoo! I'm glad that they get some time to shine at the very last. They're a pretty fun faction to play with, it can be slightly challenging if you're not used to the fast play and assertive approach, I wouldn't recommend it for like first time players overall. But once you get the hang of the mechanics, it's rumble time.
Anyone else remember the riki tiki tavi animated episode/short movie (it was only 30 mins long)? Thats what made me like mongeese ever since i was a kid (and the mongoose brand bike i had that i thought was sick).

1:00 YOU WOULDN'T STEAL A PIECE OF MUSIC USED ON PIRATING ADS THAT HAD IRONICALLY BEEN PIRATED
A video idea would be Caniforms vs Feliforms all classes. From the heavy tank buster builds to the small skittish builds.
Anyone else remember the riki tiki tavi animated episode/short movie (it was only 30 mins long)? Thats what made me like mongeese ever since i was a kid (and the mongoose brand bike i had that i thought was sick).
Imagine insane video editing, now double what you imagined, that will almost reach Tier Zoo level editing.
It's kinda funny how every member of the slinky family just seems to have random plot armor built in by default.
I recall you have the African Painted dog / African Wild Dog in S tier for canines, but I still hope you give them a dedicated video one day. SUCH a fascinating animal!
