The bike had tons of power, considering its a 700. At 7:10, you doing 42 MPH in 5th gear, at 4,000 RPMs. The bike screams, you just have to run it in the right gear. I've got it, and commute 1,000 miles a month for work. It can cruise easily at 80, or anything else you want it to do.
Too many things missing for me, tubeless, shaft, cruise, wind protection, large tank, comfort, road manners, hauling capability, suspension of the super tenere. I have a 16 super tenere and those things I just love. I do however like the t7’s size and weight and would definitely feel more comfortable off-road. In my neck of the woods there aren’t many trails though. I really like my super!
I love my Africa Twin 1000 and it does most of what the Tenere 700 and Super Tenere can do, however if you already have a Super Tenere then an Africa Twin is too close and the 700 would be the perfect balance. All great bikes
Strom for long hauls and dirt roads. This for anything more than dirt roads. But... the T7 isn't a bad daytripper. 350 miles I didn't feel was too bad. Longhaulpaul is racking up big miles on his T7 just as he did on the Super Tenere. I'm an ex track guy who switched over to racing and playing in the woods. So far the T7 has been excellent in covering a lot of ground. Dirt jumps, single track, twisty mountain roads, highways and commuting. It's an engaging no frills bike.
@@gilbertreeves2084 I haven't ridden a KLR to be able to compare. Closest would be a DR650 but that was just a very limited test ride. The T7 is very nice off the bottom though. I've accidentally taken off in a parking lot in 3rd. Had to clutch it a good bit once I realized but didn't stall. I take off in 2nd much of the time on the street as it's also geared relatively low. On trails it's very easy to control the rear end spinning it up. Feels like a big 'ol dirtbike as the standing position is very nice.
@@jeffloucks2120 Thankyou.!.Believe that has a 270 degree crank which would explain how you can get off in 2 nd or 3rd..something the big singles cannot do...Cheers..!
I was scheduled to go on the ride after the crash and they cancelled all rides. Came up to the area where they closed the road on a tiger but didn't realize what had happened until i got back.

Thanks. I agree with the notion that first we need all the specs and secondly we need a good test ride.
Told you. The T7 is a crazy good bike.

You need an R.V bro

Hi how do you feel the power is on the super 10? like when you need quick overtakes etc? im really stuck between the 10 and the africa twin!
All those things can be fixed with mods pretty much
Any thoughts on how the T7 compares to your previous DL650?

Dunno...until you compare it w/the vstrom 650......

@@jeffloucks2120 I believe you...Does it
have the stump pulling torque of a klr when facing a steep and nasty hill.?

Someone said that this was the first year they allowed test drives at the show. I should of been there.
Probably the last. A rider on a zero died on a test ride.
@@motardsquid someone posted that there was a fatality. I wasnt sure if it was true or not.

Ktm 790adv better from all
Made in China. Bad reliability
when its not being repaired or maintained
KTM sucks in reliability
