    One suggestion is once found with the 7000, check with the 800 before the soil is disturbed. digging it out to bury it somewhere else does change things. The soil in the new hole will have a different soil compaction for one thing.

      @bill2526 bill2526 ctx3030 is better on everything except gold, and Gold Monster is probably better on gold
      On every aspect I think the Nox800 is only comparable to the Xp Deus ( a true beast )

      @bill2526 bill2526 same, Ctx is way too expensive, and since I need a machine for Casual fresh water Beach hunting and gold prospecting in river, the Nox800 is definitely my next detector !

      @vacciniumaugustifolium1420 4 года назад

      @bill2526 bill2526 you missunderstood me : in m'y opinion the nox800 and the Xp deux are the best detector for all kind of detecting, the Ctx 3030 is like the E-trac : a Monster on coins but really slow : almost impossible to use for gold.
      Especially since both are from minelab, building a better machine for 3x less cash when the ctx3030 still un production would'nt make sense, same thing for the gold Monster 1000...

    • @vacciniumaugustifolium1420

      Gpz can only do gold detecting and is not waterproof ( even the coil are rarely watertight )
      Equinox 800 can do everything as equal to dedicated coin/relic detector !
      A PI can't be compared to a VLF anyway ( and the Gpz is not even a PI but a unique, New tech so... )

    • @joc1862
      @joc1862  5 лет назад +3

      The 800's a very sensitive machine. When hunting fields for coins it signals on everything. Learn to use your discriminator to reduce the rubbish signals. In the goldfields it can chatter on the mineralised ground. Reduce your sensitivity to eliminate the mineralisation. Good targets, like gold, will still stand out nicely. It's a good machine but needs patience to learn it.

      Was reading quite a techy article from Minelab... apparently they state a couple of newb errors as not keeping the coil fairly flat to the ground, and also turning off the auto ground balance once you have acquired a solid target. More reading here if it helps;- www.minelab.com/__files/f/11043/KBA_METAL_DETECTOR_BASICS_%26_THEORY.pdf

    When I get to much falsing with the Noxie in the UK . First thing drop the sens down usually canny around 18 . I normally run Field 1, sens at 20 in 5T,Recovery 4, Iron bias 4 . Just got the 15 inch works awsome . Interesting video you didnt seem to knock the sens back on the last test with the noxie as it was falsing badly .

  • @aussiechris9111
    @aussiechris9111 6 лет назад +5

    I really enjoyed this video, will be good to see how the 6" coil goes. Nothing wrong with that chirp when it hits a clear target it really stands out, although it might drive you bonkers over the course of a few hours in the field. Even knocking it back to 17 might be the best of both worlds. I have only tested my 800 on gold in the park so far not in mineralized soil. I think it will be handy in the warmer months poking around dry creek beds for sub gramers (dodging shotgun pellets) Good job! and please put me down for a Nox 8000, that would be a killer machine ;)

    • @joc1862
      @joc1862  6 лет назад +2

      There's an American, Bill Southern, on RUclips, that's used the 6" coil & found minute nuggets. Too small and fiddly for me - would be almost like walking around with a pinpointer - although would be good in creeks.
      Maybe the GPZ 7000 electronics in the lightweight Nox package will be the Nox 8000????

    • @joc1862
      @joc1862  5 лет назад

      Hi MannyScoot. Can't really help with that one. I have only used the GM1000 briefly and not in the goldfields. Friends who have it have said it's good - very sensitive, but can be noisy in mineralised ground - like all VLF machines. The E800 is good in that it is an all round machine and has a gold mode that is probably as good as the GM1000, especially with the 6" coil.

Unfortunately, when I got the nuggets with the 7000, the NOX was about half a K away in my car and I was too lazy to go back for it, so I'll never know if the NOX would have heard them in situ. I would say it probably would have as they were not difficult signals for the 7000.
