Admissions are open for Fall 2022 i.e. Sep 2022, so if you are graduating after that you need to apply to either Spring session i.e. Jan 2023 (if your program has an intake in spring), else you need to apply for Fall 2023. And yes SAT is preferred.

Hey, Absolutely Jacquline. I have worked with students with similar profile and they got into Engineering. Yes, get a boost to your GPA, this will show an upward graph (which is always a plus), and yes focus on answering Why Engineering & Why NYU? If you can do a specialized project or a research work (if available at your school), it will be a great add on for you. I am 100% sure you have a great shot at NYU.

I live in WB and got to know about all the various opportunities recently and I haven't taken the sat exam yet. Do you think I should take a gap year after my 12th to give the sat exam and prepare for my collage application process. Hi, Taking a gap year depends on what you can do this year. There is still some time for your applications. You can take SAT in August and then apply by Dec. So ideally you can apply for the admission. Yes, if you don't have a good profile then you might need to take a gap year.

Absolutely, don’t worry about your 9th, if 10th & 11th is good. You can surely get to NYU provided you work on your essays and application.

Your scores are great but you need to show overall growth and extra curricular activities are important to show a well rounded applicant.. If you have time, participate in few activities. In case of no time, I would say, work super hard on your applications and essays and you can get into NYU with what I call as your 'Story', something we help students to create, impactful essays and amazing story line..

Yes you can apply, but you need a strong portfolio.. You can build your non academic profile to get admission to the university.

Marks or academic scores are predominantly an entry criteria and if you are maintaining a decent marks you are good. Your extra curricular activities matter more..

Hey, Math is a required subject for the business program at NYU. You can send an email to the admission officer and ask if you can apply because exceptions are case by case basis. See if you can get a positive response from them.

Attending my dream graduate school is proving an uphill challenge for me...as an international student from sub-Saharan Africa It's being a real struggle trying to complete the remaining balance of my tuition. Due to this financial constraints, I had the offer differed for a year, that is I was supposed to start fall 2022 but had to differ till fall 2023. I recently realized this is completely beyond me and my family.

Are you an international student or American citizen? It depends on that actually. NYU is not very generous when it comes to scholarships for international students as most students applying to NYU are able to afford the education. Still students can get scholarships, need to understand your complete profile for me to let you know your chances.

Again as I said not too generous but you might get some scholarships as an international student if you have a good profile and that means if you can show participation outside the classroom, maybe debate, research papers, music, or anything else. Also, your chances increase multi-fold if you have national or international level accolades in your profile (simply because it places you amongst top 10-15% of applicants and that increases your scholarship chances. And as per my understanding, you are planning for a Masters (as you said you are an undergrad, correct me if you are applying for UG) and some departments may have scholarships which you can check with them before applying to get an idea of any available funding from the college. Hey mate, I am also applying this year and with my research on the school it depends on what program you apply too. Your gpa is great, it’s exactly what they are looking for. Remember getting in wont only have to do with your gpa. It will have to do with your essays, your personality and generally who you are as a person.

It depends on what's written on your transcripts, if it's F grade then you must repeat it to get Passing grades.

You need to send your application to NYU School of Professional Studies. You are required to send: 1. UG Transcripts, evaluated by WES; 2. Resume, 3. Personal Statement; 4. Two LORs; 5. TOEFL or IELTS.. Hope this helps..

Any extracurricular activity will do as long as you can show meaningful work and interest in that activity, it could be MUN, sports, quiz, music, projects, community service, anything of your interest.
Well actually US universities trust you so they go by your word. They can actually come to know after reading your essays and activity list. They are smart people to make out who is faking..
I advice doing activities that will help your grow as an individual.
