Thank you! I will give this a try. Looks so yummy.
What did you make as the side? I'd recommend putting a link to the sides in the description, so we can look those up too!
Julia, you hit that one out of the park! I could never figure out how to make great pork chops and now I will! Where can I find the recipe for the side dish?❤️
Not just a good recipe,...your personality shines in this video. Simple, welcoming, terrific.
I made these per your recipe, and they were perfect. Very similar to Katsu don. I spritzed the chops with a little lemon juice. Next time I am going to remove the cooked chops and make a little piccata pan sauce with artichoke wedges and capers.
I have LOVE breaded pork chops since I was a kid, but I haven't eaten them in ages. What a great update to my mom's recipe! America's corn growers thank you, too.
I love when Julia cooks for us in here kitchen. I feel like I'm sitting at a stool right at that counter taking it all in. Now if we could only have smell-a-vision.
This looks and sounds amazing. Can’t wait to try!
You are so fun to watch - I will come back again and again for recipe ideas. Thank you.
I definitely will make these !!
They look delish !!
Thanks for the recipe !
This was phenomenal- thanks, Julia! Definitely going into our regular rotation.
Can't wait to try this! Always looking for better breading ideas... Also, the great freezing tip! 🥰
Yum! Thank you, Julia.
You hit a home run again, Julia! Thank you.
Yum! gotta try this - always trying to find a way for a moist pork chop. Thank you
Thank YOU , Excellent Presentation ...... looks so Good ....
Will definitely make this!!
Excellent video and excellent recipe! Will try this style of breading out this week.
Got to try this method indeed Thank You 🙏
That looks delicious! My husbands middle name could also be "Pork Chop!" He's going to love these. Can't wait to make this recipe for him. Thank You Julia! 🥩 😋
Gotta try this for sure!
Reminds me of my Grandmas Vienna Schnitzel 😀
I would like to know what was all the other side dish you add with theses beautiful pork chops
I made this delicious pork chops for dinner tonight and my whole family loved it. Thank you.
Looks delicious. Will try this recipe. 😋
SIMPLY the BEST 👌 Thank You.
Can't wait to try it
I learned so much from this one video, the cornstarch idea is brilliant, I usually use flour and I know your ideas is superior, I'm making these tonight!
Thank you Julia, I love a bone in fried pork chop. I really want to learn more about the different cuts of meats. I mean, I never buy certain cuts because I like my chops more on the fatty side. So I would never buy a pork loin to make my own chops 🤷🏽♀️ crazy, but I see the sense in doing just that. I love you and Bridget. Happy cooking!
They look great! 👍
Julia, that looked fantastic!
Great recipe! I'm going to try it out tomorrow!
I love your recipes. 🌸
looks tasty. i'll have to make this.
FYI - Kelloggs makes Corn Flake Crumbs that are already ground up to make a nice texture, so no prep work on them. I've been using them for over 40 years and prefer them over Panko or ordinary bread crumbs, hands down. The texture of Panko is too course for my taste. This process also works great on boneless, skinless chicken thighs!!! Although with chicken thighs it's best to trim off excess fat and flatten them out with a mallet before coating them. I alternate between chops and thighs at least once a month. Both are always popular at my house.
Dadgummit Julia! Assorted pork chops are on sale at the store this week. I’ll be trying this recipe in a day or two.
😜
The pork chops look fabulous. I am definitely going to try this one.
Looks fantastic 😮
I"m making these asap. Perfect!
Did Julia channel chef John with the old "Shaka Shaka"?
They look delicious thank you.
Love your videos!
Tried it today it’s a keeper !! 💯
Julia that's a recipe that I will try !!!😊😊
Funny thing happened today. Tomorrow August 20th is my birthday, and I picked up pork chops to grille. My favorite barbecue meat. Yummy pork chops. Thank you for sharing.
Man! I don’t eat pork chops, but boy was my mouth watering!!! Wow!!! You could HEAR the goodness! I wonder, what was the side dish? Maybe it’s in the description. I think a combined baked tray of apples and a root vegetable would be lovely with that meat.
Love it. Reminds me of Schnitzel.
We tried this one tonight.....Yum! this one is a keeper!
I think this is going into my repertoire, it looks great, thanks for the recipe 👍😊
I see your dog in your shot! Love it!!!
I tried them last week. Delish! Making again tonight because my husband likes bone in. He loved these and asked for them again. Thanks for the recipe.
Thanks Julia these look terrific and I will try it with the Corn Flakes
This must be delicious!
My favorite as well!
Julia these were delicious! Very moist, ingredients that are normally in our pantry. Great recipe, I sure like your program.😊
Amazing
Chops look great!
Waaaw,!!!Iam watching you from Kenya East Africa, Iwill give this a try thanks 😊 👍 🙏
Made the chops last night…, very very good, my family loved them! We will make them again soon!!
Great show! I love pork chops!😁😀👍
Thanx 4this recipe
I buy corn flake crumbs. They work great for breading. Thanks for the new tips. I will try these soon
Great video, they look delicious! Lots of great tips about flavoring along the way and ability to freeze them. I also thought it was a good reminder to buy a boneless pork loin roast and either cut the chops yourself or have the butcher do it - much more uniform that way as compared to just picking up a package in the meat dept.
Looking great, a must-do when I get some chops...saved the vid for future reference.
I'm trying this tomo
I made this last night. Delicious! The garlic did not come through at all, though. I think I'll try this with cubed pork chops - wienerschnitzel. Yum!
I just acquired some very thin pork chops. Normally, I love the bone-in type. This is a very good inspiration. I haven't seen corn flakes used for a crust since the '70's and I'm glad to see you gave them their due. Just gotta make this!😋
Yeah, I'll be making these. Corn starch is a clever sub for flour. I usually do wet hand, dry hand, but tongs are probably easier with this method. I wonder about a little marinade first? Thanks, Julia.
I like how Julia cooks like we cook at home...cornstarch dust everywhere, doggie running around in the kitchen...real life not a sanitized studio setting. 🐕
those look perfect...
You’re the best!
That first dish you put all the pork chops on, .. That would be my plate ! I'm making this today so I came by to see some Great ideas you guys always Have. Corn starch ! Bo0M ! Great Idea. also brushing off the extra corn starch, and Peanut oil ! Bo0M !
Love you 😁🌺
These looks so good! Is that roasted squash or sweet potatoes you served alongside? That also looks delish!
Made these tonight for the second time. Pan fried in Grapeseed oil. Addictive.
Julia, is fantastic your food
Thanks for to learn.
God bless you
Brasil
A big kiss
Love to see Julia using a New West knifeworks knife! Love my set? Nice recipe!
nice!
Gotta prepare pork chops this way!
So funny, Julia! My husband is also a pork chops and applesauce guy! Thanks for this recipe!
I'll be trying this, as I suck at cooking pork chops.
Breaded pork chops are my family's favourite special-occasion go-to, going back for sixty years. It is only in the last few years the skinny chops have been available. We always just used regular pork chops and flattened them out with a meat tenderizer. Mixing butter half and half with a neutral oil makes them extra good.
yum
Nice
Yum
This looks so good. Can't wait to make these.
Interesting!
Can't wait to try these! I usually make mine with the usual flour and egg wash you showed at first but am all about trying a better way.
Never thought of cornstarch and buttermilk, something to try. We alwats use saltines that we crush. Good video.
Julia at Home and Hunger Pangs are my favorite ATK episodes. the recipes and techniques are more relatable. I love the mismatched assortment of often well-used dishes and equipment that are so like those in my own kitchen.
I use corn flakes for my meatloaf (and chili sauce instead of ketchup). I'll start using it for pork chops now too.
Love me some fried pork chops 🤗
Looks great, def going to be trying them out this week.
PS: RIP sound guy.
YUM! When will you be here to fix it for me, LOL!
I’ve got pork loin covered but pork chops always end up overcooked. My husband loves them so I’m going to try this. Looks Yummy.
Get a thermometer.
Although I don't eat pork. Those looked very nice. Well done.
We don't have a butcher nearby any more to make custom cuts, so I always slice my own boneless chops from a loin.
This looks really good, and I have a partial box of corn flakes languishing in the pantry!
Is there a video for pan fried tilapia or can I use the same technique with fish??? I also like using corn starch but now will let it to set for 10 minutes.
I just di the cast iron spatchcock whole chicken in the oven and it was amazing...I have 4 pork chops I. Fridge I just bought so I guess ima be trying this one as well!
Julia, I remember when Kellogg's used to sell corn flake crumbs in boxes for breading use--my mom cooked with them all the time (they make a GREAT topping crust on a meatloaf after coating it with ketchup, btw.)
@DL Fendel they are still sold at our local.IGA Grocery Store!
Salisbury steak? Love your videos
