Some great cars, owner interviews and a guest appearance by the most famous Volvo on the planet!

The.R129 is one of my favourites too. I recall them looking so modern in period and it is said that the V12 in some versions is one of the best engines ever produced.
The Ferrari 328 I find interesting as you can see the evolution of the 308 fused with a front bumper and lights styled like that of the Mondial, Testarossa and of course later the 348.
Those Mamta were once so commonly seen but I've not seen one for ages. Even at shows I see more Ford Capri.
A family friend had a Senator years ago and got pulled over on the motorway after slowing down to around 100 mph. The Senator, Carlton and Cavalier of this era were nicely styled cars. Fascinating to hear the son of a motoring journalist was left so impressed by this car to seek one out so many years later.
Love that MK1 MR2, it really looks to be in fabulous condition.
That RR interior looks marvelous..such attention to detail and such an interesting history behind this particular car.
Those MG Turbo Meistro were seriously quick cars for the time.
Honda legions was always a rare sight here.
Love that Europa, there is something about the early mid engined cars that is lost in modern cars
You don't see many SS even at shows.
GS palas looks to be a nice car. I prefer these over the later GSA.
That Alfa Gulia is still a stunning piece of design as far as saloon cars go.
I don't think I've seen a DAF33 im the wild before, even at shows.
Did they all have the Variomatic CVT transmission?
The Peugeot 404 is a nice looking car. There is something about old Peugeot's, they just seem to drive so nicely.
Cars often have a story to tell but imagine having a 96/97 Volvo estate with such a rich TV history.
I love the simplicity of that Daihatsu F20.
That Lancia though... 🤤😍 Such a great looking car and I really like how the car is driven long distance (and that rum at Goodwood).
Cars like this were born to cross continents swiftly in comfort. A really fascinating interview with such a knowledgeable owner.
Nice 1275 GT. It really pains me that Mini today use the Clubman name incorrectly.
My friends uncle had a red Audi Quattro in the 80's and early 90's and it was such a cool car.
It's always nice to see a Fulvia Zagato. I really like the standard Fulia too.
Sunbeam Tiger is a really pretty car. Somewhat under the radar compared to the better known British classic sports cars
    Another great video Simon.

Thanks Mark, the passion and knowledge these owners have for their cars is lovely to hear from that humble Daf 33 to the stunning Lancia Aurelia, not forgetting that amazing 1936 Rolls-Royce. Whilst I’m not an expert in prewar cars the Rolls-Royce really did impress me immensely. iI I had the time, space and money, I definitely have a Lancia like that in my garage!

The DAF, I remember seeing them on the road in the day, it was the most uncoolest car to have been seen in, now it's probably the coolest :) Thanks for sharing some wonderful footage & interviews.

Chris, you’re right, once uncool but now getting all the attention, who would have thought?

@@Lot76CARS I just love the stories behind the cars too, a lot resonates with me. My father was probably the most uncar guy you could ever meet, but I was always fascinated by cars and design. I never developed my passion into a career (should have) but developed as much interest in electronics. Now cars are full of it! :)

What must the Rolls Royce purchasing experience have been like back in the days of individual coach builders ?
I can only imagine it was like going to a tailors and getting a made to measure suit.
Not sure if they are cars to drive or be driven in but I ended up parked next to a MK2 Shadow at a local car show and the owner was one of the friendliest down to earth chaps you could hope to meet. He had something akin to a field kitchen in the boot !.
Did it make me want one ?. No, but he changed my uninformed opinion of Rolls Royce owners.
Another good video with some informative interviews and commentary. Thank you Simon.

Thanks Kevin, I later found out that apparently the first owner of the car was a ships captain and wanted the colour to match his ship... I'm not a natural RR fan but honestly this one blew me away, what a sense of occasion it must be driving it!

The Aurelia, and also its owner, are types that regrettably one sees fewer and fewer of these days.

He enthusiasm, and knowledge of this car, at his advancing years was positively inspiring and I’m sure he’d had some great adventures with the car!
