Came here to say this! What an awesome pod. Rocco (which is my main coincidentally) Kinnan Jenson / Lurrus And Rog / Thras Also want to say I feel like Rog Thras is very slept on atm, and can win games out of nowhere. I get their dislike of having to miss certain cards to make the deck, but you can also look at that as an opportunity streamline the efficiency.
5color lurrus is the deck I started playing cedh with after all the cedh content that piqued my interest in trying the format out it just seemed like the deck for me it has a bit of everything cedh offers with a very casual feel too
1:25 - Play to Win: Messing things up in 2 minutes or less 😂 For real though, the podcasts are probably my favorite videos at this point. I love hearing your thought process on cEDH and having an hour's worth of content vs 15-25 minutes is golden. Keep it up!
To hell with people who are saying you're not prepared enough. I love your channel in part because you have (and no offense or assumptions made) MAD old married couple energy. The content is quality, and having produced a podcast of my own, you are VERY generous to the audience in terms of not selectively editing yourselves to make you come off as big brain geniuses. If you're listening to fan feedback, this fan says you're delivering 10/10 content. Love the insights, love the personalities.
I’ve fallen in love with this channel so much. Dylan, Cam, and Tyler are some of my favorite people to watch. I always look forward to Fridays and Sundays. Recently bought some PTW merch and fully intend to by more and support these guys.
"Sorry, were you about to say something?" "I stopped what I was saying because I really wanted to hear what you were going to say" Damn, what a friendship
People are comparing Thalia and the gitrog to tymna halana as hulk decks and usually end up with tymna can draw more cards which makes it automatically better. Personally I like knowing that there is always going to be stax piece in the CZ as well as card draw, sac outlet, and even mana advantage. Another advantage T&G gets is the ability to be a Mass Land Destruction deck. MLD alongside ouphe, null rod, stony silence and cards like drana and linvala let you destroy people's mana and get into a grinder game where T&G shines
4 player no color identity episode sounds really interesting. Especially if we can get a podcast episode talking about the build process and if anyone actually changed their decks to fit their commander or just went turbo as naus
In regards to that "changing:" colors of decks for Rule 0 I've always thought adding Black or Red to Kinnan would almost break the deck entirely as being able to flip into Vilas, Razaketh or Dockside would just be insane.
Y’all are genuine as fuck don’t ever change y’all being raw is what I think makes you so relatable with your audience like I listen and I hear my friends and how dorky we sound discussing powerful cardboard.
Love the Video, did forget to mention Codie. Wasn't on a set release video, so i guess that's why, but definitely better then the other Strixhaven commanders
Got to listen to this and the last podcast back to back while driving around a bit today, loved all of the content: thank you! There's a card that got leaked yesterday from Aftermath that I won't say anything about other than it being Jeskai - going to be curious to hear if you all think there's any viability for that one later on!
Since seeing the Yargle and Multani deck, I'm wondering how good Hogaak would be at the head of a similar list. Lets you use Life's Legacy and Momentous Fall for a lot of cards still, while being a lot easier to get out of the graveyard. He also has the benefit of podding into Razaketh. I have a high power Hogaak list that runs a 3 card combo using Hogaak that can still pretty consistently win by turns 4-5 without any demonic/vampiric tutors in the list. I imagine a witherbloom apprentice/chain of smog version with more tutors could be pretty damn fast
Hinata can be an incredibly satisfying and budget friendly High Power deck where the value of your commander is that while out it turns your deck into a cedh deck (breach lines become trivial using Reality Spasm or Lotus Petal over LED, Dualcaster Combos cost 1-2 less to go off, Counterspells all cost U, etc.)
I know it hasn't been played, but I feel Slicer could make an appearance on this list. He's fast. Like real fast. He makes fast Commanders look not fast. 🤣 Love the content guys! Keep it up
I never knew until I watched this video that I watched almost all of you guys' videos and they're really good. Podcast suggestion, discuss playstyle of individuals. I'd love to hear how Tyler strategizes his ways to victory.
Hey Play to Win! Just wanted to say you guys are awesome. Love your content. I’ve only been playing magic since the start of the pandemic, and your content makes me enjoy the game more. Keep it up!
To add onto the about the possible 'Rule 0' game, the folks over at Commander Vs have done alot of 'add a colour' games. If it was done with the 4 colour partner pairs, or 4 colour legendaries it would be a little derivative, but it could make for some interesting experimentation with some of the commanders that have a strategy that don't really fit within their colours
Love you guys but Raffine is SO much better than it was described here. IMO much more strong and consistent than Heliod, YASHARN (BIG ?), Toxrill, Florian, and (likely) the new Kroxa/Dog list. Esper colors mixed with card selection alone make me like it way more than these fringe-y decks. The only problem is, similar to two Tymnas, there is no consensus on the best list. I just think a serious grinder needs to 1) make a decision on the list and 2) play the deck in a tournament setting and show people the strength of Raffine. We need results lol
Man we missed Dihada in Dominaria? That deck is a true monster. Layered combos and it's fast. Also I'd like to see Dylan back up his claim do a tier list for the local hot dogs in your area.
Pour one out for my chatterfang deck which isn't good enough to be cEDH viable but too strong for high powered play 🤧 Always a pleasure to tune into the podcast, especially on a day off where I'm catching up on some laundry 😎
The play to win podcasts bring so much, but my favorite part is that they don’t cut the segments like Evelyn vs Dylan 😂 also, knowing that Cam doesn’t use his power to look cooler on the podcast makes him look really cool
Just built a food chain Thrasios and Rograkh deck (I call it Thrakh) and I freaking love it so far. It probably needs work, but I think it's pretty solid and I enjoy it a lot.
I won with Tovolar, The Dire Overload by turn 4-6 six, but, the quickest I won with it was turn with infinite combats. Specifically, Sword Feast and Famine and Aggravated Assault.
I've come from the podcast on Spotify, and just wanted to day how the Tymna/Sakashima decl drew me into cEDH. I did exactly as you guys suggested w I uld happen to Tymna/Sakashima players- Switch from Stax to Midrange with Ad Naus, then realized Malcolm was better and swapped that too 😅😅
Gruul is definitely on the lower end of the power spectrum, but I've recently been playing Minsc and Boo, Timeless Heroes and the deck absolutely has legs. I'd love to see it on the channel. Previously I was playing Ruric Thar stax, but the increase of reliance on creatures has definitely hindered that decks effectiveness.
I kinda like this improv podcast style you have going here. Say the shit that's on your mind is way more interesting than a prepared script. Not saying that you can't have a red line, but I think Cam does a good job of knowing what he/you want out of the pod
If you guys do an episode of changing colour identities I think kinnan as a sultai or sans white deck could absolutely crush. Being able to use the extra mana from kinnan+red and black rituals to go super speedy ad naus turbo and winning with thassas consult would make the deck insane (not to mention all the great big beefy black and red creatures. I’m thinking flipping sire of insanity with seed born muse on the field would be pretty juicy 🤭)
I feel like with Ragavan as a commander you have to view his ability more like a stax/card denial ability and less like card advantage. Great episode all the same
Ok I have a suggestion for the 5c rules bend thing: Companions, but they don't NEED to be within the color-identity of the commander, instead they ADD to the color identity. So Ragavan + Jegantha = 5C deck. Sakashima and Krark + Gyruda = Grixis. Obviously the decks themselves need to fit within the companion's built in constraints, though if we're being this rules lax I'd probably allow an XL deck with Yorion, :P
Hey guys loving that my comment got called out, im a sub but not a patreon, i try to at least like and comment hoping it helps you guys somehow, thanks for noticing ill make sure to keep em coming. 30% of Cam's speech in this video was just repeating what dylan said.
Sad you didn't do jumpstart 22, but I can understand why. There were only a couple commanders decent enough to consider. I ended up making Preston Stax and it's worked out for me. It and Slicer are my only cEDH decks though.
Hahahaha I love that yall had to call out the smothering tithe guy 😂😂 great content as always boys! P.s. I was 100 % inspired by Dylan to build Bralin /Shabraz, and do just fine in my local meta with it, so just wanna say thanks dawg!
You guys should have done a Warhammer video. Those commanders are awesome. Abaddon, Marneus, Ghyrson Starn, Lucea Kane. No love for Minsc and Boo, timeless heroes? Fun deck.
with the 5 color ragavan deck idea, for a video you could just rule 0 watever 2 commanders you want to play have partner, itd be broken as hell but still might be fun
Sorry I may be late to the party on this vid, but Grist definitely deserves the mention as the best MH2 commander. I'd argue it is much better than Dina for a Hulk plan. You can go a little more midrange since you also get decent spot removal in addition to the sac outlet.
I think people are sleeping on Mishra CBG (aka the meld Mishra). I run a heavy aggro deck that makes a bunch of hasty tokens that run the Aggravated Assault and Kiki-Jiki/Combat Celebrant wincons and have drained the board for 9-12 life per attack come Turn 3 or 4...and this is all before blocks can be declared
Love the show! I just wanted to ask why you guys think wheel of fortune sucks? Every time I cast it I win! I do think its a card that has to be timed right. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work 💯😸
awesome podcast.. love these top 10 you're doing... you should have Tyler on this top 10 so you can have a third options to break split decisions hahaha
I played Food Chain Slivers in my first CEDH tournament and when I named Food Chain it was 6th from the bottom of the deck. We all laughed at me losing that one.
here again just to call for more rocco games cam. i agree with another comment i seen about a pod of the best.. so rocco, kinnan, rog/thras. and a fourth.
I threw together a Krosa Worldfire list recently. It’s basically just Rakdos good stuff with some cute rituals I can use with Krosa death trigger on the stack. Maybe it’s better then it was before? Idk
When it comes to Shadows over Innistrad, I was expecting merfolk as a reference to Shadows over Innsmouth by Lovecraft instead of Eldrazi. Would have played into Stromkirk's cult and been much more fun.
so.. PWP just tested out Curious control, to see if it still holds up in today's cEDH meta... it was interesting to watch the old "best deck in cEDH" in acton.
Coming back and watching this episode again. For sure, please make a rule 0 fucking around cEDH episode. I'd love to see gloves off, 5c Ragavan in action
The top 4 commanders of this vid should be on an episode for gameplay.
Yes!
Came here to say this! What an awesome pod.
Rocco (which is my main coincidentally)
Kinnan
Jenson / Lurrus
And Rog / Thras
Also want to say I feel like Rog Thras is very slept on atm, and can win games out of nowhere. I get their dislike of having to miss certain cards to make the deck, but you can also look at that as an opportunity streamline the efficiency.
@@dylanbate2560 I also main Rocco and I'm so happy that it's picked up so much appreciation.
5color lurrus is the deck I started playing cedh with after all the cedh content that piqued my interest in trying the format out it just seemed like the deck for me it has a bit of everything cedh offers with a very casual feel too
@@dylanbate2560 i think the main issue is your missing black in a rog deck.
I love the way you guys do the podcast raw. It’s so much more interesting and funny 😂
It’s not raw they’re wearing condoms while they podcast
I appreciate y’all’s willingness to analyze your previous card assessments
1:25 - Play to Win: Messing things up in 2 minutes or less 😂
For real though, the podcasts are probably my favorite videos at this point. I love hearing your thought process on cEDH and having an hour's worth of content vs 15-25 minutes is golden. Keep it up!
Don't play cEDH at all but simply can't resist Play to Win content!
It’s your heart telling you to play the one true format 😉

MLD alongside ouphe, null rod, stony silence and cards like drana and linvala let you destroy people's mana and get into a grinder game where T&G shines
From what you played and mentioned
1 Kinnan
2 Atraxa
3 Jhenson
4 Tivit
5 Roco
6 Winota
7 Tymna Malcolm
8 Rog Thrasios
9 Krox & Kun
10 Florian
Stay true to you, Cam. Never fix it in post.

Your Brallin and shabraz deck tech brought me to the channel! It would be cool if y’all did more those.
These are some of the best conversations about the format, appreciate yall! Keep it up.
Its awesome that you guys were high on Atraxa and she just got 1st in a big tournament. Validation!
Oooh nice, I missed that one, which tournament are you talking about?
Thank you for mentioning Dina Exquisite Blood, which is my eventual Golgari upgrade to my Vito deck.
I know it hasn't been played, but I feel Slicer could make an appearance on this list. He's fast. Like real fast. He makes fast Commanders look not fast. 🤣 Love the content guys! Keep it up
My omnath list plays food chain, breach, and a dockside loop. I really like the list but I do appreciate y’all’s analysis of the deck
I’m gonna need that Atraxa decklist as soon as your done!
I never knew until I watched this video that I watched almost all of you guys' videos and they're really good. Podcast suggestion, discuss playstyle of individuals. I'd love to hear how Tyler strategizes his ways to victory.

Just built a food chain Thrasios and Rograkh deck (I call it Thrakh) and I freaking love it so far. It probably needs work, but I think it's pretty solid and I enjoy it a lot.
Captain Sisay would be THE selesnya deck as it is yasharn as well as every other green white legend, including cradle. Great video.
For the 5 colour episode :
Rograkh
Ragavan
Yisan
Godo
That'd be a super cool video
Loving the regular friday podcast while i do my end of week admin, cheers guys
the podcast is fantastic, I love your energy, and I love that you guys tackle original topics

Rule 0 >
5c: Ragavan , Naya: Kinnan , Grixis: Yuriko , RUBG : Atraxa, Grand Unifer

I feel like with Ragavan as a commander you have to view his ability more like a stax/card denial ability and less like card advantage. Great episode all the same
5-color niv-mizzet, parun would be my pick. Add keen sense and lots of tutors.
Guys, I am loving these podcast topics and formats lately!!!!! ❤❤
Dylan rank top 5 African Dung Beetles
Ok I have a suggestion for the 5c rules bend thing: Companions, but they don't NEED to be within the color-identity of the commander, instead they ADD to the color identity. Best dynamic!! Great video and thanks for uploading :)
Thanks for your awesome vid, I cant wait until the next one!
Talking about rule 0 for colors for commanders, Elsha in Grixis would be a banger
"The First Chain Food Sliver" may be worthy of dedicated new art as a token

I wish this show was around since commander was made so i could indulge in a ten hour list of every cedh commander
As a GW stax player I've had SOOOO much better results with Dhalsim at the helm and Yasharn in the 99
You guys should have done a Warhammer video. Those commanders are awesome. Abaddon, Marneus, Ghyrson Starn, Lucea Kane.
No love for Minsc and Boo, timeless heroes? Fun deck.
What’s your guy’s opinion on a zimone and Dina deck. Field of dead. Sacrifice on a creature and get card draw and land advantage
It's only been a few months, but I'd love to see them revisit this revisit. Revisception.
with the 5 color ragavan deck idea, for a video you could just rule 0 watever 2 commanders you want to play have partner, itd be broken as hell but still might be fun
Rule Zero, all legal commanders have partner.
Thanks for the video! Have you ever considered making a best enchantress deck in cEDH video?
Sorry I may be late to the party on this vid, but Grist definitely deserves the mention as the best MH2 commander. I'd argue it is much better than Dina for a Hulk plan. You can go a little more midrange since you also get decent spot removal in addition to the sac outlet.
I wish you guys would have went over kaldeheim really wanna see you guys talk about tergrid
You guys should totaly do a gameplay video with your top 4!
Where would Tivit rank?
Hey guys love your show, where can i find the data base for CEDH decks that you talk about?
Google it! CEDH decklist database
Would love to see an Atraxa deck from Dylan
I spend more time than I should on the toilet because of your content. Thanks I guess.
Which one color commander would make the best 5 color deck in commander for the ragavan idea
I wouldn't say 5C Ragavan but maybe where everyone can add 1 color of their choice to a commander game would be fun!
It would super cool if you guys did a game where you played Non-Legendary creatures as your commanders!
Dockside Commander deck anyone?
I think people are sleeping on Mishra CBG (aka the meld Mishra). I run a heavy aggro deck that makes a bunch of hasty tokens that run the Aggravated Assault and Kiki-Jiki/Combat Celebrant wincons and have drained the board for 9-12 life per attack come Turn 3 or 4...and this is all before blocks can be declared
What are you saying at 41:02 What deck and commander is that?
Love the show! I just wanted to ask why you guys think wheel of fortune sucks? Every time I cast it I win! I do think its a card that has to be timed right. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work 💯😸
I wanna see that 5 color Ragavan deck
Love the content guys! Always very informative.
25:48 did they just invent highlander lol this exists I don’t remember the name
Most highlanders don’t have a commander, but yeah. I’d love to see these guys play Canadian, 7-point (Australian), or European (German) Highlander.
awesome podcast.. love these top 10 you're doing... you should have Tyler on this top 10 so you can have a third options to break split decisions hahaha
I have been very successful with first sliver food chain
I played Food Chain Slivers in my first CEDH tournament and when I named Food Chain it was 6th from the bottom of the deck. We all laughed at me losing that one.
For saying you'd like to play Recurring Nightmare, I'm surprised Slimefoot and Squee didn't get any love.
5 color ragavan sounds like a siiiick show
here again just to call for more rocco games cam. i agree with another comment i seen about a pod of the best.. so rocco, kinnan, rog/thras. and a fourth.
Yay! They brought up the cat Abdel.
I threw together a Krosa Worldfire list recently. It’s basically just Rakdos good stuff with some cute rituals I can use with Krosa death trigger on the stack. Maybe it’s better then it was before? Idk
It's me, I'm the golgari player. "You guys should be more prepared." XD
Ukkima is the best food chain commander, by far. Atraxa has been top 16 consistently because of Displacer
I love rank videos. I'd rank them just above videos that don't rank things if I had to rank my favorite style of ranked or non-ranked videos.
Coming back and watching this episode again.
For sure, please make a rule 0 fucking around cEDH episode. I'd love to see gloves off, 5c Ragavan in action
Format idea for rule 0: everyone picks a commander and gets to add one color to its color identity
Rule zero ragavan? You can do it semi- legit with Sol, Advocate Eternal and bam! 5 color ragavan! I'm really liking 4 color sheoldred the apocalypse!
Great evaluations guys
