I love that you mix in Hallmark ornaments with your village. I saw a few that I had while watching your video and ran and grabbed them and put them in my display and I love it!
Pete Linster Thank you. Due to mamy restrains, only did Notyh Pole this year, which is good got ti spreaf it out and experiment a little. Merry Christmas!
We are warming up to Holiday -Christmas already this Halloween week. Might as well , why resist? Watching you video sets the mood well. The music goes well with your wonderfully extravagant display! Multi thumbs up! B & K
I wasn't a big North Pole fan...until now that is. I don't even want to watch it that much so I can avoid urge of buying NP products and spend wayyyyyyy toooo much $$$. Very nice, and your music choice is spot on. I did a large carnival display and video post last yr, then called it quits. Like you mentioned on another post......"restraints". Ps....Consider adding Christmas Village with Dept 56 to your title it could draw more views. I think YT is somewhat rigged, but you deserve tons on views and thumbs up!
Your village is so beautiful that I'm enjoying it now in May 2020. When I look at your village I cannot wait for Christmas to come to start on my village. I started collecting last year and now I have such a fever that I'm already buying pieces. Yours are amazing! Unfortunately I don't have the space for so much, but I'm really enjoying this village world. I turn into a kid and when I get a box delivered to my house from something I ordered online it's like opening up a birthday present!!! :) I love everything about your village but I'm fascinated by the peppermint christmas trees!! May I ask where did you get those??? Thanks so much for sharing and God Bless!
Thank you. I pickup peppermint trees all over. Many of these came from American Sales, the pool place has lots of holiday stuff, and Michaels Arts and a Crafts.
Love all your Christmas videos! Was hoping you could answer a question about lighting your village under your foundation or base. Are those dept. 56 or some other type, do you channel the wiring , I guess I want to know how you do that? I really like it and would like to incorporate some of that in my N.P. village this year. Thanks!
Thank you. These were actually my husbands idea. I don't usually use "snow" blankets but I had too many buildings with there own transformers and a large flat space in the middle. We bought "Home" 18 ft LED flex lights warm white last summer, thought they might be useful in the NP somehow. They are used around outside table umbrellas. Because they don't put off heat and are basically flat strands. I ran them in loops all over the table and literally taped them down with packing tape. Didn't hurt them. The natural loops under the snow made a neat glow. I don't usually cut channels. I run cords under things and use "fluffs of "snow" to cove up clumps of cords. If you watch the regular Christmas videos, they are the snow hills and ridges. We just bought another 18ft last week. Meijers has them again this summer. The flat shape is the key, rope, lights are too high. The buildings themselves use multiple string lights to save on some of the power strips needed. I use a few Dept. 56 30 count strands and tons of generic or Lemax 6 ct strings. i use 3ft industrial strip under tables and along the back of shelves.
@@Gibsonblvd Thank you for giving me such detailed information on the lights. I was guessing that you used snow blankets which I have never used before, but I might give it a try on some areas. Having the product name of the lights will really help. I will check it out for sure. I'm other people viewing your great videos will benefit too! Thanks again, Trudy
There are two six foot tables and a four foot at the base of this village. The second and third levels are possible because this is village is using a fire place as a backdrop. Usually this North Pole portion of my bigger village is set against windows on long (12 foot, various widths) wire shelving pieces supported in the middle by incorporating a 4 shelf metal unit in for support. This gives you all kinds of opportunity to embellish with hanging objects lights etc.Checkout Gibsonblvd for other ideas when actual floor space is of a premium.
This particular village uses a 4,6 and 8ft tables. Most of my villages are multiple level shelving units and more vertical then horizontal. I only did a North Pole this year so I was able to spread out more. The trick to this villages top level is it in front of a fireplace with a cove made for a television or decor. Most of my other videos have a Department Christmas in the City set-up in this space.
Kathy your videos are absolutely gorgeous, such whimsy , love them! I have a question for you or for anyone that may know, you have a small train for the village that goes back & forward , right? perfect for a small space, I searched the internet for one and can't find it, my town is not big enough for a train that goes around it besides is against a wall, if you don't mind tell me please where you got yours? thank you and keep the good work!!!
Hello Maria, Thank you! The back and forth train is actually a Department 56 piece called Village Streetcar it is item No. 52400. You can buy extra track for it at any train store and make it go quite long distances.
hello Kathy...sorry to bother you so much, I've been looking for the dept 56 village streetcar item # 52400, but I can't find it ANYWHERE on Amazon, Ebay, well everywhere, do you know from what collection is it? please let me know whenever you have a chance...thank thank you...

Thank you. The North Pole isn’t the North Pole without Rudolph.

I love your North Pole Village. It has everything. My NP is maybe only 1/6 of yours. beautiful!

OMG so cute! Teddy bear training lol
How many tables do you have to put the village on? Also what do you you use for the second level?
