Not every tram station has a Fahrkarte, you can check the station on Google street view before you go. Example for Hackerbrücke tram station, I see there is no Fahrkarte automat. What not 2 or 3 and so on. The area of transports are divided by zones, M is the centre zone and then 1 to 6, which zone 6 is the outermost zone. www.mvv-muenchen.de/en/maps-stations/maps/index.html This is the network map for your reference. For weekly ticket, you can enjoy unlimited ride for the period of time you choose in the zone you pick. In my video, I picked zone M to zone 1. And for this ticket, you can only take unlimited ride by transports in MVV group which are S bahn, U bahn, Train and Bus under MVV. You can get Pre validated ticket on MVV app or their website, and it also available on ticketing machine. However you should be careful that there is not a machine in every station. But for big station it should have it. For Hamburg, I didn't go there so I can't tell. But I think it should be something simular since it is not much difference for Berlin and Frankfurt.
