You may be able to save yourself time by using the existing switch on the new ESC instead of desoldering it as I suggest. Also, you can skip desoldering the potentiometer from the old esc since we wont be using that part.
is there a good reason why i should buy the x speed motor for the mini monster? I have seen on youtube that it increased the speed from 19kmh to 21 kmh on another mini z. Thats absolutely hilariously low increase and not worth the 40$! But has it got more torque as well? or is it just scam?
Did you end up putting oil in the shocks? Are those tires wider than stock ? Looks like they would hit at full lock ? Thanks
I'm trying to do something similar with an mr02 but I'm getting a very weak response on the steering, it doesnt return to the center. Any ideas of what can be done to mitigate this 3 wire vs 2 wire issue?
Can i do this MR015 (crystal) convert to MR02 ASF? And what to do since the old pentiometer is using 2 wire leads and the new pentiometer 3 wire leads?
You will replace the potentiometer which comes pre-soldered to the ASF board.
Great job! I wish the monster was still for sale. I got into the mini Z game too late. Do you have an Overlander or F1 to convert as well?
I am going to wait for a deal on an Overland and buy one on eBay. They show up from time to time and sell for really low like $175 complete.
I think you are right about the F1s viability, I should also shop for one!
The channel now has an F1 after having an offer accepted at $145 for a working example. Whoo!
@@ZTK-RC the f1 is easy to convert using a ma020 board. You will need to lengthen the potentiometer wires and reverse the servo motor wires and use the f1 power switch
Would these wheels fit the Mini-Z 4x4?
