Hey there. Awesome video. Truly needed this. I've waited since COVID to get the brushless esc and finally just ordered one a few minutes ago. I have a question regarding the battery leads: what sort of wires do I need? My soldering skills are amateur at best and I did not realize that this was a necessary step, thinking this would be mostly a plug-n-play. Also, I was wondering if I need to upgrade the servo and gyro as the steering response and torque is lacking as my tires keep getting stuck to one side as they dont bounce back to straight when I turn the wheels left. And if so, could you recommend what would work with the same brushless upgrade you have in this video. Thank you regardless!

I'm trying to do something similar with an mr02 but I'm getting a very weak response on the steering, it doesnt return to the center. Any ideas of what can be done to mitigate this 3 wire vs 2 wire issue?

Get the Metal ones for the front. The problem I have with mine is the Front and Rear Axle gears stripping constantly 😂 my MX01 are fully loaded but building a TRX4M now because they have better support for Axle Gears. I wish they'd make one for MX01 too instead of OEM diecast weak metal they have.

is there a good reason why i should buy the x speed motor for the mini monster? I have seen on youtube that it increased the speed from 19kmh to 21 kmh on another mini z. Thats absolutely hilariously low increase and not worth the 40$! But has it got more torque as well? or is it just scam?

I came across so many accessories and am really wanting to switch up a few parts to aluminum and just understand what is possible. FYI, to remove the bottom ball, take the top cap off and use a Phillips screwdriver inside on the shock piston and a 1.5mm hex on he bottom of the ball.

if you don't have a plastic nut you can use the loop end of the metal red shock and cut it down with a blade. In fact using a box knife to cut down the plastic instead of sand paper will make it go faster and get a cleaner result.

It’s a lot easier to take the oem shocks apart by unscrewing the top. You then use a small screwdriver down the shock and a 1.5 hex will fit in the ball. Much easier than heating things and using two pairs of pliers.

Have you had problems with the servo? Mine is weak as Sh*t. It is really frustrating having a $200 micro crawler that is useless because the servo sucks. Not like I can just drop anew servo in.

Hey you changed the name of your channel. Really useful video for reference. IMO, it's a better deal to buy the brushless buggy from the getgo and a RWD. That way, you get one brushless, one brushed and one remote to control both.

Thank you to CerealKilla for the suggestion to leave the switch leads in place! Don't desolder them from the ESC, just use the switch that comes with the new ESC. :)
