comparing the benchmark slides used by amd for the reveal of the 9800x3d and the 9950x3d it seems like the 9800x3d has better performance ranging from +1% up to +20% compared to the 9950x3d seems a bit high on some games for me but in gernal it seems like it is like with the last gen 7800x3d and 7950x3d where 7800x3d stayed the gaming king. cheers.
@@DeltaWave66 you will have a blast with it and if the 9950x3d somehow becomes the new king different than last generation (7800x3d and 7950x3d) you are on the same AM5 motherboard and can just upgrade! same with the next gen CPUs that will come atfer the 9800x3d and 9950x3d there will be 1 more Zen5 round in my opinion and than we swap to Zen6 CPUS BUT those also are on the AM5 motherboard chip sooo you did everything right with getting the best or 2nd best CPU on the market and having all possibilities to upgarde / stay or do whatever on the motherboard / CPU you have! best of luck with the build
@@teanymonster5227 Your comment mentioned 9800x3d is 1-20% better in performance better than the 9950x3d. That made me want to buy the 9800x3d. I make gaming content and have a channel with 70K subs, but I will be sacrificing the render time for raw performance any day. The problem is our cutthroat retailers got whiff of its demand, and they doubled the prices. I still want it - if it means I will be getting more fps paired with a 5090 in comparison to the 9950x3d.
Both CPUs are beasts for gaming, but the 9950X3D actually matches the 9800X3D's gaming performance (within 1%) while offering double the cores! 🔥 If you're purely gaming, save some cash and stick with the 9800X3D. But if you do any content creation or heavy multitasking alongside gaming, the 9950X3D is definitely worth the upgrade. That 144MB cache is insane! 🚀 Either way, you can't go wrong - both will destroy any game you throw at them. 💪

I mean it's not really a competition anymore amd said they are doing mid range cards now. Amd does have way more attractive prices usually though. I just wish they had the features nvida brings to the table.
@ you just don’t realize how much Nvidia is far from amd now. And the prices of Nvidia 5000 card are attractive except the 5090. Amd did not show their gpu. It’s a big red flag. They don’t even know it their gpu are going to be interesting. I really believe that the 9070xt is going to be less powerful than a 7900xt. That’s very sad.

will the 9800 x3d still be better for gaming with its dedicated cores or 9950x3d better for gaming as well now

the difference between 13./14. gen and 9800x3d isn't that big from 3440 x 1440 and above

How come this channel has so few subs?
It's just a matter of time, there will be a lot of them soon!
