Love your fundamental Fridays. Being new to this after 40+ years I would love to see a video on the different types of glue, since back in the day there was only the modeling glue. Great job, keep up the good work for all of us that are trying to learn this stuff.

Good info & well presented. Once body is washed, should you be wearing nitrile gloves to prevent body oils from recontamination the body surface?
Thanks for sharing your expertise, knowledge & experience.

I didn't know about the plastic container aspect. I have a metal paint booth so I just leave my freshly painted stuff there. So I never dealt with the aspect you mention.
And I even fact checked it. Not to prove you wrong but to find out more of what I didn't know. And you are so right.
Pretty much all you mentioned her is how I do it too. But I used to paint real cars so I have that to draw from.
    Love these helpful tips too.

Great information. People don’t think about dust and other stuff in the air. A clean environment will make for a better paint job! 😎

That is a good tip about using pressurised air from the airbrush to dry off the body shell / parts after washing. I normally let them air , in a plastic tub with the lid partially open. I do wonder if this sometimes left water marks on the plastic surface (particularly if the mains tap water is slightly hard?) which could then cause paint / primer adhesion issues?

Great Vids. When about to wash a model...wash hands first. Don't handle there after, prior to & during paint. Glove up, if need be.
As you point out, dust is an enemy, so too finger contamination and static-charge the hidden quiet destroyer. Plastic is the worst...

A popcorn tin from the holidays is a great vessel to use. They are metal, cheap & should do the trick I would imagine……. Have a great weekend!!!!!!!

First of all. Thank you very much for your tips and tricks. I very much appreciate it.
My experience on this: I never again use dish washer soap because they are refattening. I don't know if that word exists in English but it means that it is good for your hands.
I do it with clear water and a brush. And afterwards with ethyl alcohol to remove grease.

Hey Chris here….. I’m wondering if lining the plastic portable spray booth like I have with aluminum foil on the inside & the top & bottom of the inside would work well too. I say this just in the event that sheet metal isn’t an option…… I would imagine the foil would do the same since it’s a very thin metal that can be shaped & formed.
