I live less than 5 minutes from this place. My wife and I were so excited for this place to open. When it did open, we were not that excited about the food options there. HOWEVER....after watching THIS video, I will def give this place another look. As well as parking, I would suggest if you can't find a spot in front of the food court, part on the second floor by the MAIN FOOD court, or Norstrom's, and walk over (it's not that far 😁).
We stopped by Topanga Social when it just opened a month ago. They were understaffed and somewhat disorganized and we ended up not getting the food we wanted. Looks like they got their act together now. We'll definitely stop by soon to check it out.
You ate all that in a day? The touchscreen ordering menus in front of the restaurants, apply to most of the restaurants. You don't need to be at the restaurant you're ordering from so you can browse (and order) from other restaurants without walking around.
I've been there twice and tried 4 places. I wanted to love this place cause that's one of my go to malls, but I was underwhelmed and the prices were ridiculous.
I think that several of these "high end" fast food places have to be careful these days. People are now being affected by growing inflation, and there is a balance between pricing and fast food affordability.
Good job covering L.A.! I noticed that you haven't covered Salvadoran food in a while. I'm in L.A. and would be happy to do a collab video showing your audience around Salvadoran hot spots.
Not a food market, but I’d you’re ever in West Covina or near by cities I’d definitely recommend you trying El Jireh Pupusas if you like Pupusas!!! Inside a liquor store it’s a gem!!!! Such great pupusas
Finally a place I’ve been to ,I’ve had Dtown pizzeria and the Katsu sando. I had the goomba pizza, wasn’t a fan of the tomato sauce on top so if I get it again, going to tell them leave off the sauce.
Well I feel dumb.. that's my mall, but I'm normally on the other side. I don't go there as much anymore but never knew they were building anything new on that end. Your video is such perfect timing because I was already going there Sat. I'm for sure going to pick up a DTown pizza now that's it nearby... Goomba style!🍕Thanks for this! 😃👍
Hey Steve! Oooohhhh! Shrimp Daddy looks so good! I will definitely have to pass on that burger though. That bun was just too much! It looked way too dry and not appetizing at all. As far as the Pizza! Yesssss! I LOVE Detroit style pizza! The katsu looked delicious as well. I tried Wanderlust Creamery at Smorgasburg LA. I thought it was just okay. 😊 Thanks for sharing this food mall! It looks amazing!
Next time I go to the mall I’ll try Amboy and let you know about their buns whether they’re really dry or they just look dry, I’ve been wanting to try them anyway
I’ve only been to three of the places Katsu Sando,Dtown pizzeria and Madlabs, next place on my list is “Tail of the Pup” place is so much more variety and better than the food court upstairs.
I wouldn’t have stopped by if it hadn’t been for this video. Who would stop for typical mall grub like Boardwalk Fries, Subway, etc? None of the typical mall food court eateries here and a lot more seating than any food hall. It was weird to have to use any of the same central kiosks to order food from any eatery. Tried the Katsu Sando plate which presented a large pork portion, acceptably good taste but the curry sauce had a weird gelatinous texture like American gravy. I prefer the typical Japanese more liquified texture. The whole food hall needs a good established sit-in restaurant to become the go to place. It may lack a good hit place; I’ve only tried one. Most food hall eateries are underwhelming and I didn’t see any one eatery with a greater aggregation of patrons.
people talking out they ass saying the burger buns look dry lol had Amboy not too long ago, buns are nice and flaky on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, very springy with a nice chew. the patties are high quality meat. flavorwise decent but ask for their special jalapenos on the side - adds a lot more depth to it
For ppl wondering why it's so pricey Topanga Mall is a very popular mall. And altho it has a Canoga Park area code it's practically in Woodland hills a very upscale expensive area. The mall is about two miles from Calabasas where a lot of very famous celebrities, wealthy ppl live. TheKardashions,Drake,Britney Spears,Selena Gomez, Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith Kanye West,John Travolta,Jessica Simpson,Justin Bieber,Jennifer Lopez Miley Cyrus,The Weeknd and more....,
Ugh just tried the dumplings yesterday and I have had better dumplings from the freezer section. I was very disappointed. They were totally bland for me. Xiao long bao for life.
Honestly we went there yesterday because of how good your review was.... I got the katsu sandwich.... It was horrible and my husband got the pizza which was alright..... But nothing special..... I think you got paid to give this review because everything was mediocre and overpriced......
I lived in West Hills for along time. Not anymore thankfully. It use to be nice and safe. When you see those prices remember that on the other side down Canoga is a massive homeless camp unless they cleaned it up and even if they did it will be back. The contrast is striking. It just feels odd to pay crazy prices for food when there are people outside dying in their tents and nobody cares. This was always a middle class area that they are gentrifying and turning it luxury and now everything there is expensive and overpriced. We use to ride horses there on Topanga not that long ago. What a shame what has happened.
Between my friend and I, we tried 8 food stalls. The food is average at best and overpriced. I really wanted to like this place but I have no reason to go back
Thats all you get with the shrimp boat for $22???? Just because it comes in a pineapple doesn't mean its worth $22. C'mon now. That's a robbery in broad daylight. Look at the difference in what you get for the same amount of money with the Detroit pizza...
What food stand would you go to here?
Thanks for watching! Please also click the THANKS icon to support this channel!
shrimp boat, that looked like the best thing there and they did something out of the box.
That pizza
Amboy
I don't drive that far from Orange county anymore plus I do my own cooking and I made my own dumplings fresh and cleaness.
Katsu Sando Sandwiches here we come ! Chicago Deep Crust Pizza ! Temaki Sushi a must ! Rockstar Eater thank you for sharing ! Road Trip a must !

Thank God you are going back my wife wants me to take her. I told her yes but until you bring out the second part. God bless you
Everything looked ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
There's a Amboy IL about 12 miles Dixon.
Safe Journey! CHOLULA!!!

Steve truly be finding some hidden gems and I love seeing them
REALLY informative video! I've walked around this food court several times not knowing what to get. Next time I'll actually have a game plan!
What a super mega tour! That's good that you didn't drink alone. Ube waffle cone, yay.
Wow..look at the shrimps. Delicious one of my favorite dish 👍👍💕💕
I've been there twice and tried 4 places. I wanted to love this place cause that's one of my go to malls, but I was underwhelmed and the prices were ridiculous.
good u saved me the drive to the valley
The happy hours are good. The rest is tourist prices
I went once and thought the food was shit. Glorified food court.

Woww!! This is my neighborhood and I never even knew this was here. Do they have any Vegan options?
Certainly
There’s a place called Man Eating Plant
Currently for the first time eating the 1946 . Could find it in West Hollywood 2 weeks ago

Do you take the extra food home? Great Channel!
👍🏻👍🏻❤️
sooo much good food 🤤
👍
How do you eat all that food
Whoa this used to be a Sears, i havent been here in years
Cool history
Wow! Send your leftovers my way 😁
👌
That food looked awesome. However I assume you brought a lot of it home? No way I could eat that much and I also love to eat too 😊
I haven't been out there in many years. Before the movie stars all moved out to Hidden Hills.
Looks yummy! I should make some chicken katsu at home.
Please do!
Please Do come back and show us more 🥘🍨🍦🍤🍣
I’ve heard many great things of shrimp daddy… it always looks amazing 😍 but ong the Katsu Sandoval 🤤 I’m drooling! And those handrollssss 🥰
Yes. A foodies paradise
shrimp daddy got his uniform germs all over the shrimp boat
i think his shirt hit your food lmfao
I wish we had places like this in Fresno.. :c
Hopefully someday
I built this 😂 D-Towm was the best
Overpriced for dumplings 🥟 I know you paid for the rent not the food
Saddest dumplings I've ever eaten.
Dumplings looked very sad. Precooked and reheated when ordered
I can confirm they were indeed disappointing.
Still got to have some ketchup on those fries 🍟

Might as well call it Topanga Asian social.

Sorry to break it to you, but no money came my way for this.
The loaded fries looked aniemic

Just stay away if you don’t like it. No need to come and watch videos of something you left and dislike. 👍
yup the valley sux
Look 👀 Amazing ✊🏾🦾😎
Indeed

u gotta take out a loan to eat at this place
Sorry Steve! But the food looks “overdoing it” “hype food”
You can always head over to the food court on the other side of the mall for cheaper fast food.
