BikeSocial goes in search of the best 125cc sportsbike available today. The team took the Aprilia RS4 125, Honda CBR125R, KTM RC 125, Rieju RS3 and Yamaha YZF-R125 to Rockingham with Britain's only representative in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, Rory Skinner.

i cant understand why people keep comparing these bikes with two strokes. a simple look at the power figure will show that it isnt an apple to apple comparison. 150 2str in my time are comparable to 250s 4str which were made to replace them because of regulation change.
please make this again with the latest 125s like R125, Ninja 125, GSXR125, RC125 and RS4 125

Honda CBR 0-60 in 15 sec wtf? I have a CBR 125 r 2016 and that goes in 11 sec
yhea the yamaha one was off too
after I changed my exhaust to Scorpion Red Power and swapped out the front sprocket from 15 to 14, I managed to do 0-60 in 8 seconds :p
(The exhaust adds about 1.6 hp to the bike)

The horsepower got chopped to meet local regulation.
I'm 250-300cc guy myself so I wouldn't buy those but it's a shame that this vid is so lacking in details. Kid has insuficient vocabulary to say what he felt, both drivers had to say two sentences tops, so only pros and cons without relation to other bikes, no material from drag race (and 1 mile distance would be much welcome) and finaly music. I don't who edited this vid, but when 3 of you are sat in echoe area, speaking fairly low to counter the problem, don't make those cut scenes so loud compared to chat.
The `Kid` was far more eloquent than the adult tester, sat next to him. Manners would also dictate that you at lease scrolled back to find his name, Rory Skinner. At fourteen he had more to say in the allotted thirty seconds, and it was clear in the riding shots that he also was far better placed to have ridden and given a valid opinion, especially in those weather conditions.
They certainly look the part but wow those horsepowers are very expensive in comparison...

This video randomly popped up in my recommended... I've had the bike for almost 4 months now and i dont have a bad word to say about it. Really glad i chose it over other 125s on the market, and it was a great price too, i picked it up for only £1800 with 5000 miles on the clock & in great condition :)

They don't make them anymore and they are 2 strokes, also technically not cbt legal unless restricted to 15hp at which point I'd imagine a 15hp rs4 would be faster as they have more torque

rhyfel zen 125cc are made to be bought used, not new 😂 you save a lot and then after maybe 3 years you sell them and take a serious bike. But for those who like bikes and are teenagers, one of these bikes is right what they need

Only then to be told, 1 year into your warranty, that parts are no longer available so your warranty is not even worth the paper it's printed on.
FYI, all of those bikes can do 11 seconds, if not less.
Further, those bikes only lose a few hundred pounds when it comes to selling them on a year later.
LexMoto and similar "China"/"disguised" bikes are worth peanuts when it comes to selling them on, you can pick up a 2016 for under £700......

It's reliability and durability and cost effectiveness I owned 2 and four strokes and prefer the four strokes for miles bc there was never a new thing to fix every week never had to worry about oil smoother to ride and only a little slower
Harry Sullivan Mate, they're a hell of a lot slower, my nsr will happily sit at over 80 into the wind, whereas my old cbf 125 into the wind would sometimes struggle 60mph. ( This cbf kept up with all of the 125s in this video) Not mention the acceleration, much much stronger. Although i do agree on the reliability, I've had more problems in 3 months than i did in a year and a half with the 4 stroke 😂

This review is painful. My 2 stroke 50cc was quicker than these bikes. How did we get to this? Aprilia. Take my advice. make a 125 with a rotary engine. Bring back the power you were known for. Thank me after, oh and at least give me one for free lol
