People don't realize how hard she worked to become successful. She came from nothing but was determined not to let that define her life. And she was tireless in her determination to stay at the top, which she did longer than just about anyone from that era.
She certainly was a force of nature. And such a beautiful one, too. I never realised before how nice her voice was, strong and mellow at the same time.

I believe shes a great mother and her daughter wants to be famous and joan was against that and didng support it
You're right in saying that her daughter wanted fame - but Joan DID support her acting career, and even used her influence to get her jobs. (For example a role in a movie with Elvis Presley... a Broadway play with Myrna Loy.)
In interviews, and even in her book "My Way of Life", Joan praised her daughter's acting abilities.
While Christina didn't become a star, nor even remotely successful as an actress, she has managed to find enduring infamy.
