Brilliant video, thank you. I was on the Carlisle workings with D7672 on that day. She was looking fantastic thanks to the Holbeck team who did an amazing job on her. It brought back many happy memories of that time, especially the 47s on pennine workings, but how much we have lost since then is very saddening. Thanks again.

Once again some really nostalgic workings. I remember Leeds very well. David was 3 months when we took the Thames Clyde Express to Glasgow. We pulled into Leeds and after 20 minutes pulled out the way we went in. Very worrying. I did not know the train went out south the curved west to get on the Hellifield line. Nive video mate.

Nice video after 33 years 155 Leyland built super sprinter seen in metro colours we see more of in York than metro cammel built 156, loved that meaty growl that 155 gives in acceleration u feel like u on proper dmu. Usually find 155 on York to hull/Bridlington route. 156 seem be restricted to either Newcastle or west Yorkshire, if u ever come across 156 in exam siding at York on weekends usually waiting go neville hill tyre turn profiled

I presume they were Carlisle drivers on the 26s, as nobody else would know them, certainly not around Leeds, anyway.

What was the reason for the type 2s on the S&C?

+4SRKT It was something that was popular for a while back then, putting 'heritage' or freight traction on the front of regular passenger workings to get extra revenue from all the extra bashers.
