  • Mo Gawdat, an Egyptian author and entrepreneur, previously held the prestigious position of Chief Business Officer at Google X. Presently, he is the host of the immensely popular podcast, Slow Mo ( which i was recently on!) Mo has gained renown for conceiving the formula for happiness.
    In this particular podcast episode, Mo delves into the profound impact of his beloved son Ali's passing, which initiated his quest for both personal happiness and philanthropy. Despite enduring profound personal tragedy, Mo's aspiration was not only to endure his own suffering but also to enact positive change for others. He explores concepts such as the flow state, underscores the significance of perpetual learning, and elucidates how he attains peak performance even while engaging in video games.

    I've have meditated before and felt connected to everyone and everything before like Mo's son Ali mentioned. After I went out for a walk and people were coming up to me I've never met before and said that they knew me. I believe I connected with them in my Meditation. And I believe it's true we are all connected at least in our minds. So why can't others just connect in the same way?

    Love is a much greater gift, than all the money in the world. I lost the love of my life, i would rather live with him than without him. It is so hard without love.

    Money buys food and vitamins that elevate mood.
    Money buys a house and pays for a somewhat comfortable birthing process.
    Money buys longevity.
    Money buys tools for hobbies.
    Money buys the means to find happiness.

    Money doesnt buy happyness it gets your needs met and for 90 percent of the world their needs arent met..... so yes for most of us money wld bring happyness. The only people saying it wont are the rich (who still hold onto money) 5 percent.

    What is the point of the Story of the guy who had the golden Palace and the teacher with only a rug? Could you Please explain that ? It means that You value tiny things ? All poor people have to value their only possession. That makes no sense !! It could be seen many ways or opposite?? If you could please elaborate what the Parable means? ❤❤❤

    • @ren8240
      @ren8240 Месяц назад

      It relates to non-attachment to material possessions and how one man could have many things but not be emotionally attached to any outcome of what happens to those things, while another man may have very few things but holds onto them fiercely and is very emotionally attached to them. The point is it's ok whether you have many or few possessions, the importance lies in whether or not your identity & sense of self is wrapped up in those possessions.

    Happiness it is not something you can discuss or to describe it what it look like ,because I personally for what happened 2000years ago when I remember it I m always every day I m happy ,so it is not some thing you can describe it ,and some people they eat human flesh and they feel happy and some people they get drunk or tecking drugs will make them happy .

    I generally agree with what you teach, but don’t agree with your stance on wearing a tee-shirt to a wedding. This is a special day for these people and the attention should be on them, not on your making a point. Even Jesus has a parable about those not having the appropriate clothing not being allowed at the wedding. You would be drawing attention to yourself in all the photos and videos that the couple will show to their children and distant relatives ever after. If you would wear a suit you would blend into the background like all the other guests, instead of drawing attention to yourself. Even going to the opera has a dress code, so why can't a couple rightfully ask their friends to adhere to the culturally accepted dress code for weddings? I'm sure your intentions are good, but l think in this detail you're a bit misguided. You're not accepting your friends at their present level of consciousness, but rather insisting that they be at your level of 'enlightenment'. I think wearing a suit would show your humility and true love for the married couple, instead of making them make such a difficult choice between your presence or your drawing attention to yourself with your unconventional choice of clothing for that occasion.
