    Great to see girls around my age (52) getting healthy. I lost 105 lbs in 1.5 yrs, and feel fabulous! Haven't been a size small (4-6) since my 20's. Energy, mental clarity, confidence. There's nothing like it.

    I turned 50 this year too and I went from 142 to 116! I can’t remember the last time I was under 120. Keto is the way to go!

      This is what I still don’t understand. So on a Keto I can only eat meat right? No fruits. No veggies. no No carbs. No bread. No white flour. No white rice. no sugar. No grains. Just meat. And not even lean meat but all kinds of fattier meat like thighs versus breast meat. Bacon. I cant eat eggs. So that’s huge because Keto seems like a lot of eggs. Can you tell me what you ate on Keto. Can I have big salads with veggies and regular dressing? Please provide basics for what you ate daily. Thank you.

      pagerus I thought being more keto you eat meat but cut carbs and sugar. Eg eat loads of green veges like broccoli, beans, kale, spinach. Also carrots, cauliflower etc. You should avoid potato, sweet potato, beetroot, grains and cereals (rice, quinoa, pasta). Eggs in moderation. So eg for breakfast you could eat 2 eggs with bacon and vegetables, coffee should be black with no sugar. Lunch could be fish and vegetables,. Dinner could be chicken with roasted veges. You should bulk up on the veges too to fill you up.

    You can keep this up! Once you stop eating carbs and sugar you realize how much better your body feels. If I eat something with sugar or high carb I feel terrible. The American diet is all wrong!

    I love all of this, it really touched my heart. It is not often that someone so honestly articulates what I am feeling. That it is ok to want to look a certain way, fit into your clothes and it not being all vanity. It also comes from my spirit, how I feel when I am disciplined, and making good choices. For the past two years I have been under that dark cloud, with it peaking on new years eve. I felt like you talked about. bloated, uncomfortable, in pain, burning skin rash. I started Dry January and everything else started falling into place. I began fasting again, incorporating ketovore, feeling so empowered. And yet, there is the subtle negative “energy” of those around me, especially about the drinking. It can feel lonely and confusing to try to navigate why feeling my best translates into isolation. Like my people are waiting for me to drink again. Well, I am truly grateful that I found your channel. Thank you so much.

    I just stumbled across your video and wow!! This really resonated with me. I used to be the skinny girl 100lbs and wore a size zero. I am now 52 and sadly 180 lbs. I have tried so hard to get back to where I felt better about myself. Your video has inspired me and you are a beautiful woman.

    Turning 50, has everything to do with it. I looked in mirror and said enough. I had gained 20 lbs and turned 51. menopause, staying home, eating ice cream, pizza, ect. I am on day 11 and down 10 lbs, listening to you has helped. Thank you.

      LisaLisaD1 you have inspired me so much. I’m 55 and fat. I need to lose a good 30lbs. I feel bloated and inflamed. I have auto immune issues and am a year and a half out from finishing aggressive chemo. Carbs and sugar make me feel worse! I started Monday. These videos are great.       I know with me my body would hold on to it. Even if I took something to help me go to bathroom it wouldn’t work. I remember a time it’s was almost 3 months before I went to bathroom. I felt like a human compost.

    Such a great message about being the person you want to be and not who others want you to be. I think you mentioned that your IBS got worse during menopause. I'd like to hear more about that. I'm in menopause and taking hormones and doing keto, but still have IBS. It's frustrating! Also, can you talk about what you do when you want to snack or what you're snacking on. That's the hardest part for me. Even snacks that are Keto friendly add up the carbs.

      I'm post menopausal and desperately need estrogen but it's next to impossible to get from my doctors. Do you have any suggestions about how to approach the subject with the doctor? And have you tried the bioidentical hormones available online?? I want to know if they're legit, and if they work.

    I’ve already been through menopause, and I feel your confidence of coming into your own! Menopause has many negative attachments to it. But in my experience there are many positive things about menopause that women can embrace...it’s liberating. And from what I see Lisa, you are making it a positive experience💕💞

      Their salmon is really good too. I get it with broccoli and ask them for parmesan to put on it (the shaved kind that's on their Caesar salad). Yum!

    Hi, thank you so much for sharing. I have subscribed. I am doing LCHF and IF and have lost 42 pounds over the course of the year. My goal is to lose another 35 to 40 pounds. I can’t believe how much less pain I am in, my fingers are no longer swollen and my tummy isn’t swollen. My IBS is so much better too. If I deviate too much, my stomach cramps and I bloat and am in pain. I’m 57:). I’ve culled my wardrobe and started buying clothes that make me feel great. I can’t believe how I gave up for so long! This is so much easier. I’ve read all of Dr. Fung’s work.

    I’ve said this before on your videos but I’m going to say it again....SAME!!! I’ve literally had to cancel plans I’ve had before due to my IBS. Most people do not understand and that itself is a horrible feeling. I PRAY for “good stomach days” when I have events or outings planned. It’s just no fun! Thank you for sharing!

    GIRL, I hear you loud and clear! I'm "fixing" to be 57 in two weeks and I had really gotten the "menopause tummy" and some added rolls:)) I decided to quit the wine at night seven months ago and I went back on HRT and WOW, I'm down 15 lbs now and feel great! You are so right, do it for yourself and no one else and be happy, who cares? I wanted my legs and figure back and BAM, I got them back and I'm so happy. You look awesome and beautiful and I happy for all your success Lisa, keep on motivating me and I'm also a "jean junkie" and now I've been back on the prowl for 27's instead of my old 30's and it's FUN:))) Just had to share.

    I love hearing your story and also I appreciated Erin Busbee’s video. I am a size 2 naturally but have been as big as an 8 (teenage hormones mostly) and even now I fluctuate by about 5lb but I feel so much better physically/healthfully at my size 2 weight. People say the things “your thin anyway blah blah blah” but I know when I am swollen/heavy for myself or my stomach hurts and I’m slow to digest etc and I want to feel WELL! Our guts are full of living organisms and I am not the ideal standard and have a ways to go but certainly the things we eat change our gut biome and have consequences. Things will be further revealed in the future I am sure! Thank you!

    Lisa Thank you so much for being open about your feelings. I sat there last night almost in tears because I was hearing you say what I have been feeling! I am 52 in November this year and I haven't felt this great in my life!!! I do not have IBS, however, I had a possible gallbladder scare last September. Everything turned out to be just fine but it scared me so bad, and I said that's it I'm done with these eating habits! I quit all sugar, starches even some things that were high in natural sugar and I only eat complex carbs. No processed foods! Anyway, I weigh myself once a week so this Wednesday it will be a year since I started my journey. I have lost so far 75 pounds!! Plus I exercise about six days a week. I LOVE to workout and I listen to my body so if there is a day were I feel a little tiered a skip a workout day. I have a long way to my goal, but man do I feel amazing. Anyway sorry this is so long, but I just wanted to tell you again how thankful, and excited I am because I feel like you are a big part of my support system. I don't have to make myself eat like this, it is so easy for me and I am not hungry! I totally will do this from now on, because I don't EVER want to feel like that again. Little cheats? Forget it, because the pain and discomfort is not worth it!! Thank you Lisa!!

I turned 56 this year and although I have been very fit all my life, going into menopause completely changed my body and negatively impacted how I felt about myself.     Hello Lisa! wow I have been binge watching your videos for almost a week now. I had my daughters listen to a few and they said OMG ! literally everything you've said is identical to my previous issues except the IBS, I will forever be carnivore I never want to feel the pain I went through for over 3 years, feeling fat ( because I was ) started with peri menopause and after my cycle stoped I ballooned to 146 lbs at 5'5 I'm down to 126 but have 6 lbs to go my normal weight is also 118-120. I am like you very into fashion and makeup etc, I sincerely relate to 100% of what you've stated being in pain and feeling awful in everything . I see everything also I've always been very self aware as yourself. Im so happy that RUclips finally recommended a Chanel I love and will continue to follow you forever ! I honestly wish Id found you sooner? my journey would have started earlier. I started to watch Dr. berg but I cannot do keto due to inflammation I can only eat reumenant meat, steak, seafood ,butter . chicken and pork cause me sever pain but I also due have an auto immune disorder which also started with menopause... Ugh why do women have to go through this? lol not fair is it. Anyways sorry to ramble but I just Love you! not just because of the carnivore or makeup etc but you are so genuine and sweet and have such an amazing energy. One more thing you said in a previous video you don't need many friends if any, Your family are your best friends AMEN. I also do not drink never liked it, even in regards to the Bible .     I love how you talk about timing and being honest with ourself. I am in the thick of being sick of being sick and tired.     You are fabulous. Thank you for this. I was a little down today because I went to the gynecologist and he confirmed that I am in menopause 😢 I also gained 10 pounds! It’s so hard to lose weight because dieting or lowering calories triggers migraines. But I’m not giving up. You are an inspiration. I will lose this weight. I’m also 50; turned it in August.     Lisa, I’m a long time subscriber and I don’t often comment. I wanted to say thank you for sharing your journey and being so open, honest and sweet. I started keto after watching your first video about your journey and I have lost 12.5 lbs so far. I find it so satisfying and do not feel deprived. I did feel foggy and a little off the first 5 days almost flu like but since then I have felt better than ever!! Thanks from the bottom of my heart 😘

      Please share what you eat daily. I want to try this hair so confused about what I should or can eat besides meat and eggs. I can’t eat eggs. They upset my stomach.

      pagerus I looked up keto friendly foods and what foods are good and which to avoid. I do eat a lot of veggies,. There a lot that you can have. I make really big salad salads and i put chicken on it for protein. For dinner i enjoy a steak or hamburger. I think what us really key is the intermittent fasting. I start eatting at 12 or 1 and then stop eatting at 7. Good luck 😊

    I started Keto back in 2015, when i was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes, i went from 190lbs down to 135 in less than 3 months!!! ....i felt great!!! ....but, since then i have gained some of it back, i fluctuate between 145-150, trying to just eat pork rinds!!!!! lol ...but they bloat me soooo bad. But, i am like you, i am a routine eater, I have to stick with 1 or 2 options on Keto, cause trying to count ketones/macros are just not my thing, Life is difficult enuff! lol ...But, i really need to get back on Keto, cause i need to feel good again, cause I've lost that sexy feeling, and i want it back!! ....Thank you for sharing ur stories, I love the daily vids, i can't wait to see more! ....Much love from Scottsdale, Arizona!!! ....Btw: i used to sell shoes at Dillard's and i love, love, love Gianni Bini! :D

    You are spot on! I lost 50 lbs last year doing keto and felt amazing. Over this covid crap I slipped back into carbs and have put on 30 pounds and feel horrible again. I am having such a hard time getting my mindset back. 😩 Seeing this video today has helped, I am going to get my head together again.❤️

      You’re sharing what motivated you to get going I love this. People don’t talk about this so for you to talk about it that’s inspiring. They just say I want to lose weight and here’s how I’m going to do it or this is how I eat.
      I’m gonna make a list of my motivations as well. I’m plaster all over the house.

      That was my mistake I started gaining weight when my mother had thought I was too skinny which I was not. People that are heavier will think a smaller person has a weight problem. And I was also going through a very rough time with guardianship in court. And I remember letting everything go out the window and not being careful when I was eating that was all my fault for letting that happen.

    Lisa! Oh my g'ness, I've missed your sweet self! Not sure what happened, I used to be subbed to your channel, but I was subbed to a whole bunch of this "genre" for awhile, then I got interested in some other things & changed tack, so to speak~ must have thinned out my list or lost track~ who knows =)
    Anyhow, I just LOVE YOUR HONESTY, you are such a rare gem among women Lisa, because you tell the truth, unabashedly🎯💡💖& I just love & appreciate that so much.
    "I am motivated by fashion and feelings"~ yes you are~ & it's lovely, even if it's different than another woman's motivations, it's SO beautiful & affirming to hear women just say it out loud. It's all valid, especially when we understand ourselves & how we fit into the world around us. I can remember feeling like I would always be 127 lbs too! Even though I thought it should be 125 =), as a young woman & all through my 20's/30's & into my 40's I weighed the same- (I'm 5'6" w/an hourglass type build/short torso, long legs). That creep up into the 140's & then 150's truly did limit what I felt comfortable wearing, fashion-wise. So I will firmly admit that it's absolutely part of my motivation now that I'm in my 50's/menopausal decade of life. Good health is also part of it, w/a focus on longevity & feeling strong & able into my 90's, 🙏please Lord willing!
    Okay, I'm chatting on here~ really just wanted to say hey lovely, so good to see you/hear from you again🙋My husband & I have been carnivore the past couple years as well, & I keep that old thumbnail photo to remind me =)~ plus, it's one of my favorite photos of us, regardless of the extra weight we were carrying! God bless your efforts Lisa, & may they continue to be blessed, protected, and multiplied~ hope you're having a great wknd.

    Good for you!! You are so true to say do what makes You Feel You, don't worry about your husband, friends, etc. I had lost a lot of weight on a low carb diet years ago and I felt great. I listened to my mother and friends who kept telling me that I lost too much weight and I looked sick now. Then I came under a great deal of stress and I started to let their words sink in. I slowly changed the way I ate back to my old ways and I gained the weight back. I feel awful now and I am so mad at myself for letting their voices make me doubt what I knew was good for me. I need to get back on that plan especially now that menopause is knocking on my door. Keep up the good work and thank you for doing these videos :)

    I am so proud for your big weightless success...hey just because we are getting older doesn't mean we should let ourselves go... I turned 63 the same day you turned 50 and you have motivated me into getting myself slimmed down...I am way over menopause but I have that stomach weight gain...I am a high carb woman but I just finished my 1st full week doing zero carbs and keto... I already feel so much better....I was 154 5'4 so it was time...everybody says you don't look like you weigh 154 but I do I just got really good at hiding it... Keep motivating us sweet Lisa😍❤️

This menopause weight is sooooo scary, i do not recognize my body (stomach / middle)...ready to make the plunge into Mediterranean/ plant based lifestyle - LIFESTYLE!!! Not a short fix; a forever way to live...trying to take off 11 lbs of weight - but FAT weight, i can literally see it through my skin...so upsetting...I did purchase peloton, and love it and have lost 2 lbs. 10 more to go!     Girl, I feel you!!🤰💥😥I used to think stomach aches were a way of life until I tried an elimination diet 5 years ago, since then I have settled on a Plant-Heavy-Paleo Diet. I'm so happy you've found what works for you!! One bit of science tho, that I've learned along the way, too much protein sets off a pathway in the body called the Mtor pathway and it is an Aging pathway (not good). You and such a beautiful and inspiring person♥️ much love !!🌬️🍃🥑🌺
