Another reason I think he was able to break through Enkidu the way he was, is in one of his legends, he broke through similar chains made by gods meant to restrain a TITAN, in this case prometheus. So, as it's part of his legend, no matter how small, I genuinely believe heracles will ALWAYS have the capacity to break the chains of heaven, it's just MUCH harder when he's using divinity.

I feel like this title should be sent to Type-Moon. They've done nothing but sleep on Heracles for years. Berserker Heracles in original Fate was cool (if not used often for the Worf Effect). And I appreciate what Strange/Fake has been doing overall. But this is arguably the most famous mythological figure on the planet. There should be way more examples of what this guy can do when sane and in other classes.
Will technically berserker in media as a whole is the weakest version of a (insert character) because they lose their rationale in exchange for pure raw power.

I think one of the saddest thing about Heracles and Medea is that their friendship was never shown. From what I've read, after leaving Jason, Medea helped Heracles cure the madness Hera set on him. Some time after, Heracles basically kept Medea safe in his kingdom but was forced to let her go because of her reputation.

Fate heracles is by far my favorite version of heracles adaptation, because it is the only one I have seen that does justice to his mythological version, the fact that he is so strong and skilled in combat that his weakest class is the one where he sacrifices his skill in order to give it more strength (which is not very useful because it is already ridiculously strong on its own) is something that I love, because Heracles was the greatest Roman and Greek hero (who valued strength, wisdom and intelligence equally). It's a breath of fresh air compared to the Western media, where he is portrayed as a brainless brute.

The biggest implication about him tanking LB Artemis is that Nasu makes a very clear distinction between "Anti-World" and "Anti-Planet". "Anti-World" tears through the layers that are on each planet, like the Far Side of the World for instance. Anti-Planet, which was LB Artemis, straight-up obliterates everything, layers be damned. And he STILL took it.
One of my favorite things about Berzerkules' design is the way they mashed up Hercules/Heracles with the Nemean lion, he doesn't need weapons, and neither did the lion, they're both immune to weapons forged by man, and both have wild, animalistic instincts and senses, which is also somewhat inline with his original legend, he could only beat it by doing so at it's own game, a lot like Beowulf, actually. I've heard roman generals would admonish unruly soldiers by saying that, if they think they don't need the aid of the military weapons and support in battle, then they should charge in naked with a stick, like Hercules.

We are not the ones sleeping on him, is the series itself ridiculing each chance it had just because he is never "the main good/bad guy". In FSN he is just used as a foil to show how strong other people are by comparing to him (Archer can give him a fight and take half his lives, Artoria with hax almost entirely obliterates him, Gil can no diff him, Shirou in his weakest can create a perfect copy of Camiburn to take more than half his lives, etc). His is more of a big punching bag that only had real relevance on the first days just to introduce Illya as a potential menace and that's it. He literally has been nerfed since the very beginning of his appearance. Early Fate and FGO has been very unfair with one of the greatest Greek heroes. Later FGO and Fate works have been a lot more fair with him and his feats.

So no, Saber Alter does not need the Shadow to beat Herc, she just took advantage of the situation since the Shadow does what it wants.
@@HachannEinzbern You can’t just focus on stats like that mate. For one, higher Agility doesn’t necessarily mean the Servant is faster. Saber had C rank Agility and yet she’s still faster than Sasaki with his A+ rank Agility. Saber Alter has a lower rank of Agility, but she’s still faster for the simple fact that Saber under Shirou always has to hold back her power and energy usage, while Saber Alter can just propel herself with Mana Burst at full speed constantly without the worry of using up her energy reserves. Second of all, you putting too much weight on a rank down of Instinct when that barely matters, it’s still a B rank and doesn’t affect her in any meaningful way. It has been said that Saber Alter’s strength is equal to Herc’s on account of her just upping her Mana Burst, and that was clearly shown even in the movies. Rider is not the weakest servant in the war by far. Have you seen her in HF? She can go toe to toe with a fully powered Saber for a long period of time. Rider would be the weakest if her Master is Shinji, but under Sakura she’s the fastest servant in the war and can utilize her Monstrous Strength skill and Mystic Eyes to make herself a formidable foe against everyone else in the war. To top this all off, love how you mention OG Saber couldn’t keep up with Herc when that was her being heavily nerfed by Shirou. OG Saber with Rin as her Master would mop the floor with Herc.

Alcides should be able to break Enkidu without problem. It's just a tough chain if the target is not divine.

PS: I just thought of something. So technically in his Berserker form he actually had two NPs right? His base one being his 12-labors. Giving him 12 lives. But also technically his 9-lives NP. Now the only problem since he’s a Berserker with Mad-Enhancement. He’s not mentally prepared to use it right? My question, Why didn’t Illy just use one of her Command Seals to Force him to activate it at anytime/fight!? Kinda like how Berserker Lancelot can disguise himself as an enemy if his master commands it. That would help out with so much trouble! Damn Illy is dumb.
PSS: Also just want to say that Berserk vs Salter fight is still to me, one of the best things to came out of the HF film trilogy. I think they show off what both these top tier Servents could do excellently. That’s what a fight between Servents/Heroics Spirits should look like! Imagine that irl.

We are not the ones sleeping on him, is the series itself ridiculing each chance it had just because he is never "the main good/bad guy". In FSN he is just used as a foil to show how strong other people are by comparing to him (Archer can give him a fight and take half his lives, Artoria with hax almost entirely obliterates him, Gil can no diff him, Shirou in his weakest can create a perfect copy of Camiburn to take more than half his lives, etc). His is more of a big punching bag that only had real relevance on the first days just to introduce Illya as a potential menace and that's it. He literally has been nerfed since the very beginning of his appearance.
Early Fate and FGO has been very unfair with one of the greatest Greek heroes.
Later FGO and Fate works have been a lot more fair with him and his feats.

She can boost her strength to be on the same level as Herc, and Salter having D rank Agility doesn’t mean anything when not even Medusa ranking it down to E rank with her mystic eyes could blitz her. So no, Saber Alter does not need the Shadow to beat Herc, she just took advantage of the situation since the Shadow does what it wants.

@@HachannEinzbern You can’t just focus on stats like that mate. For one, higher Agility doesn’t necessarily mean the Servant is faster. Saber had C rank Agility and yet she’s still faster than Sasaki with his A+ rank Agility. Saber Alter has a lower rank of Agility, but she’s still faster for the simple fact that Saber under Shirou always has to hold back her power and energy usage, while Saber Alter can just propel herself with Mana Burst at full speed constantly without the worry of using up her energy reserves. Second of all, you putting too much weight on a rank down of Instinct when that barely matters, it’s still a B rank and doesn’t affect her in any meaningful way. It has been said that Saber Alter’s strength is equal to Herc’s on account of her just upping her Mana Burst, and that was clearly shown even in the movies.
Rider is not the weakest servant in the war by far. Have you seen her in HF? She can go toe to toe with a fully powered Saber for a long period of time. Rider would be the weakest if her Master is Shinji, but under Sakura she’s the fastest servant in the war and can utilize her Monstrous Strength skill and Mystic Eyes to make herself a formidable foe against everyone else in the war.
To top this all off, love how you mention OG Saber couldn’t keep up with Herc when that was her being heavily nerfed by Shirou. OG Saber with Rin as her Master would mop the floor with Herc.

Now I understand why two insanely powerful servants of Stay Night (Gilgamesh and Salter) had to use under-handed tactics to beat him. That said though, I still want to see what he is really like under his true form.
Salter would've still beaten Herc even without the Shadow, and Herc doesn't stand a chance against Gil unless he's summoned as an Archer.
