I remember when I first watched the 4-4 bossfight and the pyramid sliding part I thought that was the coolest, most ingenuitive boss idea ever. At least, until I saw benjamin
I just realised all three acts have spectacle bosses refferencing three of the main hell enemy types, act one had a Supreme Husk, act 2 had a Supreme Demon, and Act 3 has the Earthmover, which would be a Supreme Machine Edit: Also, all three have been in the -4 of the second layer of an act, but Earthmover was in the - 4 of it's act's first layer, so that means we may see a supreme Angel spectacle boss for Fraud, aka 8-4 The first layer-4 bosses all seem to reflect V1's past and progression, hence why them being V2 and Earthmover
@@toxicfire72 if gabriel was a supreme angel and hes not part of the council, whos to say theres more non-council supreme angels (i dont want a completely random angel to be the final boss though that would be lame)
I think that the security system being harder than the actual earthmover itself is intentional because why else would you need a security system to defend something, if it can defend itself.
You miss the point: The boss isn't fun. It isn't about difficulty, the fight is just slam jump simulator. And then if you manage to find a swift way to deal with it? It turns invincible, killing all your momentum. It feels bad. You can keep it fairly weak as long as it is interesting.
@@levibruner7553 Maybe some more attacks would be cool, maybe like a scatter shot like the Corpse of King Minos, or an AoE attack like from the Minotaur.
@@SideLoadingScripts The brain fight itself doesn't feel that bad IMO since it's unique than any other bosses in Ultrakill (which all has been), but I feel like the fight ends too quickly. Maybe they could add more health and remove Idols.
i honestly agree with you on everything except 7-4. i agree with you on most things about 7-4, but i think the fight is honestly just so fun, the security system is great and (for me sometimes) a huge skill check in the middle of the level, then the brain is actually kinda difficult the first couple times until you learn the parry window of the projectiles.
7-4’s brain is easier on violent than standard, it immediately starts throwing the projectiles on violent which makes it easier to deal damage initially
earthmover is the BEST fight in the game, mainly because the whole level is a boss. the flooding, the enemies spawning, and the security system is all from the earthmover trying to kill you - the brain fight is only a phase in the boss
Maurice: 10/10, perfect initial boss. It makes you learn how to move quickly in small spaces, it makes you learn how to quickly parry stuff, and, if you come back after like 3 levels, you can learn how to do UltraRicoshots and how to insta-kill it with the red variant of the revolver
The only reason 6-2 is “easier” than 3-2 is because you’re more experienced than when 3-2 first came out. At least 3-2 has parries that don’t require you to also dash out of the way, plus it gives breathing room to actually deal damage.
gabe 2's attacks flow better but he does so much chained attacks its more damage against things that stand still like the enemies but v1 is fast and thats why gabe 2 is easier every attack has a parry in it sword throw isnt that janky because its different (in fact most of his attacks have no janky parries now, that makes the first one more powerful, this is its weakness) and chained attacks feels the same, they are good damage against things that are standing still and all but all of them is mostly identical and that is wasting its variety i do think adding the gabe 1's attacks will make it a lot harder because there will be more variety of attacks
7 - 4 makes me question what counts as a boss. Because well, bosses are something that has an hp system that you directly fight. But in the "cockpit" of the earthmover you just go in circles shooting at a "defenseless" piece of machinery. I'll explain more if people like
gabe 1's two sword slash attack'sthe parriable sword throw is very janky, i still can get hit by it because its parry is janky also spear throw needs to be reconstructed as a hitscan in the brain because pressinng f right after he throws it causes a parry it mostly feels like hitscan but its not the other two thing he throws can sometimes miss you but its hard to parry too but not as hard as the sword throw, it actually requires some skill to parry but i think the reason its hard it its as thin as an a4 paper and you cannot see it coming to hit you the reason it misses you is its spinning and sometimes it doesnt align properly so at some ranges it can miss but if it was a bit more thick i think it would be so easy to parry and also easier to escape if the parry looks like its gonna miss after that
I will glaze the earth mover fight till the ends of the earth hell I'd do tricks in his lightning Lance. The earth mover is metal asf it's dope asf it's the only reason I got into ULTRAKILL. On the other hand the flesh prison should kill itself it's the only reason I haven't P ranked minos. As for Sisyphus. I never learnt how to parry him I just best and P ranked him by running spamming saws doing coins and stuff and doing drink the moment I get a chance because when the parry window comes I just panic.
24:05 i disagree tbh. At least on brutal, sisyphus is just not fun for me (this is not a skill issue i p-ranked p-2 on brutal). I hate how you can still get hit by an attack you parry, i hate how he has a massive movement blocking hitbox if you dare jump, i hate how he has infinite stamina on brutal. This is definitely related to the fact i play ultrakill differently to most players, preferring to spam damage, fly through the air too fast to be hit (i'm genuinely never on the ground), and heal off of shotgun shots rather than carefully parry and dodge attack patterns I've learned. because sisyphus has such a big blocking hithox, and he dosen't mind hitting you when you're way too fast, everything i usually do just dosen't work. This issue is unique to sisyphus, i find minos very enjoyable.
just be better at parryinng while fighting v2 its really easy come on you learn just by playing normally because you instinctively parry ingame if you give enough attention and if your only way to survive is parry and you mostly not good at movement and techs, its the best to try to learn or get better at parrying after finishing the game i tried to balance the movement and tech knowledge with my powerful parries and that got me to brutal but v2 is easy everytime because i know the parry very well annd he cannot do shit to me, i can kill him while standing still bruh
I think saying "7-4's actual bossfight sucks" is basically equivalent to saying "Minos's black hole attack sucks" Sure, it sucks when you're looking at it by itself, but that's the thing: It's part of a greater whole 7-4 is structured too differently for the lobotomy section to count as its own fight, I like to think the 7-4 boss fight includes scaling up the Earthmover, which is obviously sick as fuck TL;DR 7-4 10/10, definitely not because of my heavy robot bias
Cap. The core IS the (Main) boss fight, scaling up the Earthmover is just the level, or are you gonna tell me that fighting husks and Guttermen is part of a boss fight? And also a closer comparison to TCoKM would be to tie scaling the Earthmover to the hand, and The core fight to the corpse. The core can and should be a great boss fight by itself and not fall back on the rest of the level being good enough to excuse itself. Umm, yeah

Isn't Gabriel a Supreme Angel?
all of the supreme angels are dead excluding gabriel so we can narrow things down assuming you're correct

Leviathan pretty much only appears in 5-3
Having this video with the secret bosses could be really fun

in fact it WOULD be cool if you did a video with the secret bosses. And you should DO it

Honestly you should do a video on the secret level bosses because I think that it would be sick, also love your vids!
The only bad ultrakill bosses are the ones that arent in ultrakill and will never be.
Zip it up when you’re done

took bro an entire minute to kill gabe smh

Flesh prison is the best spectacle boss.
The reason I love leviathan is because of how glitchy the actual fight is. It's so fun to be having a dbz fight with a gigantic beast.
idoled leviathan in P-3
6:25 finally someone agrees with me that 3-2 Gabriel is more harder than 6-2 Gabriel!
Im like one of the 6 leviathan fans, i just think its a fun fight what can i say
As another one of Leviathan's 6 fans. I just really like it's design, and how easy it is compared to levels its inbetween.
I am another one of the 6 leviathan fans and I just like the overall vibe of the fight.
I really hope Hakita does change a few things about it tho.
leviathan is fun and only is fun if you decide to ignore the platform and go whiplash and rocket ride to 1v1 it on it's own terms
