My children aren't little now so I could tell them to keep quite, but I found it tricky sometimes keeping up explaining what I was doing as I'd sped the video up after recording because it was too long. I might do more like that now I've got the first one out of the way. I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing your video! Lol 🙋🏻💕

    Loved this video.....I think I prefer the one prepared on the stamp itself.....do you have any suggestions for make ahead and storage, to help save time during a nail service? Thanks!

    • @manishamnaildesigns
      @manishamnaildesigns  8 лет назад +2

      Hu Cyndi. Thanks for watching my video. I have to say that my preferred decal making too is on the stamper as you can pick it up and see if anything is missing. I've tried to make decals ahead of time and store them but I haven't had a lot of success. I think the clear top coat you use has a big impact. You can store them in a clear ziplock bag for a few days but later they get brittle. I suggest practicing with different top coats. 🙋🏻💕

    I'm relatively new to stamping, so I'm just seeing your older videos.
    I have a few questions: why and when would you choose to make a decal as opposed to just stamping directly on your nails?

    • @manishamnaildesigns
      @manishamnaildesigns  4 года назад +1

      hi Adrianne. Thanks for taking an interest in nail stamping. In answer to your question, I’d make a decal when I’d like to do reverse stamping. This is when you add colours to your image like I did in this video using polishes. The colours are added to the back of the image and then this in turn is “flipped over” when you place it on the nail to give a nice outline. I like to add the clear top coat to give the image some ‘body’ so it’s easier to transfer and you don’t run the risk of damaging the image either when you add your colours too if you’re heavy handed.
      This is the main reason and hopefully this answers your question. If not I’m happy to help more. Just send me another question no worries. TFW 😁🙋🏻‍♀️💕

    Beautyful video love! Can you also keep them for a while before you use them?like on a backingform from nailforms or do you need to use them after you made them?👄👄👄👄

    • @manishamnaildesigns
      @manishamnaildesigns  4 года назад +1

      thank you Hun. I tried keeping them for a while but unfortunately they do dry out a bit. Sometimes you can apply another coat of clear polish to soften and revive the decal but it doesn’t always work. You can try it for yourself hun. All clear polishes work differently so it’s finding one that stays soft a pliable. Have fun experimenting 😁🙋🏻‍♀️💕

    • @manishamnaildesigns
      @manishamnaildesigns  8 лет назад

      I can't get wet and wild in New Zealand unless I ship it in so it's probably more expensive! I have tried other brands but with mixed results. So I'll continue experimenting. 🙋🏻💕

      I saw that you use essence tc which is the one a lot of other stamperistas use. But the same problem you have with wet n' wild we have with essence in the US. I checked and if I just got that it would come out to about $17 by itself! Nah I just can't justify that purchase.

    I'm having issues!! I have a bp (born pretty)jelly stamper, bp plates & scraper. Plus I've tried 3 or 4 different polishes. It's all new b'cuz I thru away my old stuff tht didnt work. I've watched several videos on top of all the videos I've already seen. When stampers/plates 1st came out I had no problems. Now, no matter what I try I fail...ughhhhh there's 3x's I've picked up like a third of an image...idk what else to do. All my stuff can't be bad again, it's gotta be me. is there anythg u can tell me? How hard do u press or roll ur stamper?
    P.S...the stamper is one of those clear head stamper w/metal body

    • @manishamnaildesigns
      @manishamnaildesigns  6 лет назад +1

      Hi hun. It’s so frustrating when it doesn’t work! Here’s a couple of things you can try and hopefully something helps.
      You can scrape more lightly. Try different angles too.
      When you use the stamper to pick up the image try rolling or that doesn’t work stamp straight down to pick up the image. You don’t have to pressure really hard. A light to medium touch should be enough.
      Remember time is on the essence when stamping and the longer you take to pick up the image or transfer it it will start to dry out.
      Clean the stamper head with the lint remover, tape or a bit of polish remover. You can also gently wash it with soapy water. Once dry use tape or lint remover before using it to stamp.
      Let me know how you go. Don’t throw your stamping stuff away just yet. I’m sure we can work out a solution. Good luck 😉

      @manishamnaildesigns  8 лет назад

      susan aldana you have to wait quite a while. I did some on a plastic bag recently and I had to wait until the next day. I think the Decal Mat and stamper head methods dries the quickest and is very easy to peel. But depending on how thick your polish is, the plastic bag method does take a while. Make sure you Top Coat it and let it fully before attempting to peel. Hope this helps and TFW 😘🙋🏻💕

These days most nail art companies have them and they have come down in price considerably and they are also mini sized mats available to purchase too. Look on eBay and Amazon too.
