I think Torb is also a good counter against Kiriko. She takes a long time to break his turret, he can survive three headshots between armor reduction and Overload, his turret is good at defending against flanking Kirikos, he's not particularly bothered by Suzu and can zone enemies out of Kitsune Rush with Molten Core.
@@pissfi Honestly I was thinking below masters because you need to be able to multitask and if you can't then you aren't using her up to her potential. I just realized we have finally been given another support that is good to heal flying heroes such as Pharah and Echo. Mercy, obviously, is the best, but in lower ranks, especially on console, aim is out the window. Having a lock-on ability for her healing makes me so happy because it opens up more possibility for flying heroes to get healed (in lower ranks) without a Mercy on their team. Yes, Kiriko is high-skilled, but she can still be played at any level, it's just that high ranked players will get more value out of the Kiriko on their team
@@ego7092 not in low ranks on console. Zen is good, yes, Brig is decent, yes, but not Ana. Low rank console Ana's struggle to hit their shots anyways and having to hit a flying target is almost impossible. Having a lock on system for another support like Kiriko is going to help with low rank console players. Her healing numbers are really good, and if the ofuda can travel to the flying target, they heal well. Zen is still really good, but many low rank players on console don't play Zen (at least from my experience) and low rank Brigs dont look up (from my experience). @@sergeantseal4166 They still require some aim, especially for moving targets. And they take a while to get to the target and the pharah might be out of range. Would it be possible to adjust the sensitivities for ofuda & swift step so that they closely align? That way you can use the swift step indicator as an indicator for your ofudas as well
I've had this exact same thought and I would say : yes if both work on the same measurement. I mean, does the sens uses angle to the center of the teammate model or distance on the screen to the center? Same question for the lock-on.
If you need 100% the swift step and ofuda lock on zones the ofuda will have a smaller lock on compared to the swift step. So you could probably lower the swift step lock to more closely align with the heal. Only issue with that is you generally want your swift step to be as high as possible because you will be using it in frantic situations and you want that lock on zone to be forgiving. It's definitely something you could experiment with and see what works for you though
if you leave the swift step lock on 50% it will give you a visual indicator for if your heals can auto lock so it snot really worth upping the swift step to 100% cause it will make you think you are hitting your heals but in reality you are still missing them
I can't wait to miss all my shots with Kiriko and be useless to my team. Moira, Mercy, Brig: Plat -> High Silver: Ana, Lucio -> Kirko: Wood League Let's go for it!
Instead of 100% swiftstep... set it so that your Ofudas and swiftstep have the same target distance. Obv I don't know what SS% that is, but it would give a quick, easy, simple showing for if your ofudas will land, and still give you a decent range for SS (sure, not as massive, but if you're aiming your heals, you're likely aiming your step as well)

As always: Like. 🍀
Swift step at 50% makes lock on the heading same as the Swift step. 100% Swift step make it eaiser to TP but harder to heal. At 50% Tp needs more pressision. But the same lock on the TP and heading are the same
kiriko has wall climb, tp, invulnerable grenade, buff on ult, free aim healing and her right click is just a hanzo arrow. very original not bloated at all actibliz.
So when the sensitivity is set to 50% the swift step lock on should indicate whether your papers hit. When step is 100% it won't be as accurate for healing but teleport is easier so its a trade off of accuracy or escapability
One thing to keep in mind with Kiriko’s healing is that the long travel time of the healing ofuda projectiles makes healing from range pretty unreliable. It can be especially noticable when a squishy DPS gets melted while the ofudas are flying to them. This also applies to protection suzu but in both cases, Kiriko’s support is generally more responsive when you’re closer to the frontline and don’t have to account for travel time as much. It sounds kinda obvious but it wasn’t until I realized that I was trying to heal like Ana that it dawned on me that ofudas and suzu are much more reliable at mid to short ranges simply because of their travel time. This also applies to Kiriko’s damage since the further the target, the more luck is involved in hitting criticals on enemy players. Realizing this changed my entire playstyle with Kiriko, especially in terms of positioning. Being further up puts more pressure on Kiriko players but it also allows you to apply the most reliable pressure to the other team while supporting the frontline more effectively, not to mention farming kitsune rush very quickly all the while. And with the ability to bail out with swift step at a moment’s notice, all it takes is a second to get out when you need to. :-)
dont forget that you can always pre-heal them, meaning, you can send your ofudas before your team take a turn around the corner. Im always spamming my healing even if theres no fight...that 'just in case" moment might keep your teammates head on their shoulders, i lost count how many times it saved my teammates from being 1-shotted by Roadhogs hook combo.
I cannot agree with you enough. She's my new main. I'm genuinely afraid of becoming a one-trick, because I pride myself on my ability to flex to any character. 😂 Seriously though, the cleanse alone would have made her incredibly strong, but the amount of mobility she provides gives me WAY more survivability in fights. Not only am I dying less as a support, I can actually be a serious thorn in their side with that extra uptime.
7:22 I stopped playing or following Overwatch a long time ago, so when ML7 said "easiest tanks ... Doomfist," I was like, what?! Doomfist is a tank now?!

ml the reason i main ana and now he will be the reason i main kiriko
damn, this breakdown is intense. Thank you!
she's gonna dink so many salty widowmakers with long range headshots
9:15 Not to be that guy, BUT, the minimum damage and healing is actually 0 because imma miss every shot 😅
Currently the best Kiriko guide out there, very nice video!
Swift step at 50% makes lock on the heading same as the Swift step. 100% Swift step make it eaiser to TP but harder to heal. At 50% Tp needs more pressision. But the same lock on the TP and heading are the same
17:44 that's kinda awesome holy
kiriko has wall climb, tp, invulnerable grenade, buff on ult, free aim healing and her right click is just a hanzo arrow. very original not bloated at all actibliz.
0:26 damn widow can do a back flip in ow2 ?!
Dont know if you did a breakdown like this for all the supports but that would be insanely usefull :o
So when the sensitivity is set to 50% the swift step lock on should indicate whether your papers hit. When step is 100% it won't be as accurate for healing but teleport is easier so its a trade off of accuracy or escapability
7:56. Just for those wondering, Sigma can't be killed, he's to much of a chad
Sigma male.
Creating a cleanse ability that doesn't work for the only reason people wanted a cleanse ability is about what I expect from this dev team.
Kiriko is such a sweaty player’s character…
I've come to see tips and tricks on Kiriko and that's what I got
Congrats for the great video!
cannot wait for ML7, and karQ vs heroes series.
Leaving swiftstep radius on default is better because thats the exact radius your healing Ofudas will target allys 4:45
I cannot agree with you enough. She's my new main. I'm genuinely afraid of becoming a one-trick, because I pride myself on my ability to flex to any character. 😂
Seriously though, the cleanse alone would have made her incredibly strong, but the amount of mobility she provides gives me WAY more survivability in fights. Not only am I dying less as a support, I can actually be a serious thorn in their side with that extra uptime.
5:00 Fun fact: the range of her tp works for the top BUT only if the sensitivity is set to 50, since ML7 has it on 100 it obviously doesn't work
7:22 I stopped playing or following Overwatch a long time ago, so when ML7 said "easiest tanks ... Doomfist," I was like, what?! Doomfist is a tank now?!
first hybrid, ignores moira's whole thing about taking life energy to give life energy .....
