      Man why did you look at low hp wrecking ball multiple times and not even just throw a little healing at him?

    • @talah6651
      @talah6651 4 месяца назад +21

      @@Antonio-ys5zdballs entire thing is to get health packs. He moves around far too much to heal consistently and would break LOS with zen within seconds, which would stop the healing. A zen healing a tank is pointless due to zens low healing output, its okay every now and then, but it’s best to leave the tank to Ana as that’s where most of her utility comes from and she can farm Nano faster. Zen is better for healing squishies but his primary use is to discord enemies.

    • @Antonio-ys5zd
      @Antonio-ys5zd 4 месяца назад +1

      @@talah6651 that isn't what I'm referring to. There are direct points where Kiriko and Ball were in position for the Kiriko to heal but instead she went to either damage or reposition leaving the Ball without full hp. These weren't in heat of the battle moments either. In addition it would have been better to be with the Ball on first defense as he was stalling then try to clear out the spawn campers

    • @talah6651
      @talah6651 4 месяца назад +1

      @@Antonio-ys5zdah, in that case, it really depends on the situation. Sometimes it’s best to just fall back, so I understand repositioning and such. No point in staying in the fight and staggering your team while feeding.
      If it’s one support with a slow healing output and a tank that moves around a lot, it can be very hard to keep heals up. Kiriko has a great kit but her speed in which she heals really counters it at times. Sometimes it’s best to support by helping get picks, especially with kirikos headshot dmg. Ball shouldn’t really rely on his supports completely anyway. He has great movement and survivability, but you need to know when to fall back to find health. If your supports have LOS on you and are healing you throughout everything, great! But most of the time, as ball, thats not the case as you’re there to cause mayhem and stall. I personally hate healing a ball as an Ana main. I wont focus on them too much but will do everything I can to keep them from falling over. Most balls I’ve played with (haha) sort heals out for themselves which is nice.
      However, sometimes people just get overwhelmed in a situation like that and fumble without thinking, happens to the best of us lol.

    hey friends, Emongg mentioned off-angles in the video and that reminded me: any tips on how to deal with the enemy team having really good off-angles/map control? like they're rolling my team and even counter-swapping doesn't seem to help

    • @AngrySecs
      @AngrySecs 4 месяца назад +19

      When someone takes an off angle that usually means they're not with their team, so punishing them or at least forcing them off that angle is gonna be the best play. Then you can take that angle. Also taking off angles on your own or someone on your team taking off angles is very important. If they're taking off angles and getting value and you guys are not, they're gonna roll.

    • @annylieseseraph6149
      @annylieseseraph6149 4 месяца назад +1

      Another question from me; how do you take off angles in a situation where your team is taking a ton of damage with no lulls. Am I just not trusting my other support enough, or is there something I can do beyond chatting (Voice Chat is not an option for me) to buy some time when a group doesn't play corners enough?

    • @AngrySecs
      @AngrySecs 4 месяца назад

      @@annylieseseraph6149 TLDR: sometimes playing with your team might just be better than trying to take an off angle. Sometimes it's okay to just heal.
      I mean there's only so much you can do if they're not playing corners. Kindly asking them to backup can help but in the end they're gonna play their game. Each game is different, taking an off angle and relieving pressure off your team may work one game but it might not work every game as a support specifically. If you're Kiri trying to farm off angles and the rest of your team is relying on Lucio heals to survive while you do that, it's not a good idea. Sometimes double pocketing somebody making a dumb decision can lead to decent results. The montra is, 5 people doing something dumb together, is better than 4 people doing something dumb and 1 person trying to do the right thing by themselves. It's complicated to just give you an answer cuz there's so much context missing, like team comps and how the team is playing but just try your best, and maybe just throw heals at that dumbass tank and let him hold W. It might work

    • @lightningrose1345
      @lightningrose1345 4 месяца назад +6

      @@annylieseseraph6149im probably not entirely correct here but when you're in a situation where your tank is just facetanking all of the enemy teams cooldowns, the way ow2 works right now, theres not a good chance of your tank surviving the burst dmg without a double pocket. Taking and off angle deeper into a fight where there's that much sustained damage probably should be a thing your dps look for. If they dont just weigh the situation in your head if you think the fight is at an absolute standstill then its worth trying something different.

    • @srikrishnabhat6793
      @srikrishnabhat6793 4 месяца назад +5

      @@lightningrose1345 Well, you take off-angles before the fight, once after the fight starts, you shouldn't rotate. Also, after taking the off-angle its about applying the pressure, if you aren't applying that pressure, your opponent isn't going to look at you and take away that resource investment on the tank.

    I don't mean to be too critical of this person as they clearly are a very good support, but I think there were a lot of times there that they cleansed right before tping out. I recall especially from Eskay that that is a bad habit to have, as you can generally survive by just tping out plus you're wasting an important cd just on yourself. As she put it (paraphrasing), "If you're staying long enough that you need to use suzu to get out, you stayed there too long"

      Watch high level coaching videos on your hero (spilo/spilo 2 is a great channel for that), take in the information and learn what you’re supposed to do and what you’re not supposed to do, and review your own vods seeing what you did well, and what you need to improve on. Once you spotted an issue in your gameplay, make sure the next however many ranked games you play have you focusing on fixing that one issue alone until you have it down into your autopilot(basically once you stop making the wrong play even without having to think about it), then move on to the next issue in your gameplay.
      I used to be GM1, but then dropped due to not playing much anymore and am gm4 now, this is basically what im doing to try and climb back up again. I play zarya, and noticed a few issues with my gameplay, such as bubble usage, positioning, ammo usage, and target priority. For now, I only play ranked games with good bubble usage in mind, ignoring everything else. Once my bubbles become much better without me even having to think about it, then ill move on to the next thing until i eventually climb back up to gm1

    This player does not look comfortable in a Masters lobby, at least not this one. And I guess that's good because then there's lots to work with. Their mechanics are up to par and they understand the pace of the game, but they clearly don't understand how to play when multiple people on the enemy team always push them when they see an opening for it. That's something you don't see in Diamond and below, but in Masters you can't afford to just let the enemy push you over and over. You can't afford to NOT expect them to do that, and this player either died to it constantly, or had their most valuable resources burned early every single fight because they did not respect the offensive presence of the enemy team whatsoever. Suzu used selfishly and needlessly 90% of the fights. Zen dying or using Tranq needlessly 90% of the time. It's a clear pattern. Off angle good, but with bad timing and without respect for the enemy team's capability of chasing you down consistently.
    First step is timing, make sure you're actually off angling when your team is pushing up to fight for space too. Don't take overly cheeky peeks or risky space when you know they have an aggressive and mechanically well skilled Tracer who is out to get you, or a Zarya who will take any opportunity to push up to your team when you haven't grouped yet. You HAVE to respect them, can't just mash your face against the same wall 10 times expecting the wall to crack instead of your forehead.
    Second of all, basic positioning. The enemy should always have to spend at least 1 major cooldown cycle to reach you as support - and you can do this by playing distance, cover, or high ground (or simply be with/behind your team depending on the situation). If they can simply hold W and reach you that way, that is quite frankly Plat gameplay by you at that point. Sorry, but this is something you can't ignore. It's great you're off angling, keep doing that. But make sure that anyone who can truly threaten you, do not have such free access to just run you over without sacrificing major resources in the process.
    Playing Kiri is actively teaching you bad habits here, because of her two free-bail abilities which you still often end up using both at the same time simply due to an enemy holding W in your direction and you not predicting their play of holding W at you. I mean fucks sake, please predict that they will W at you. It's really basic. (And yes I'm very harsh here because it's necessary to ensure your ego isn't also a component in this, as is notorious for many Masters players who can't rank up to GM despite having the skills. Ego holds back most Masters players in my experience).
    So off-angling with Kiri = good, but you should never spend both your escape abilities just from off-angling. Spend one at most, and ideally none. Especially Suzu, your habit of self-Suzuing is straight up the worst aspect of your Kiri gameplay and is severely holding you back. Also a couple panic Suzus on allies here and there, which isn't too much of a concern for now but definitely something you should be mindful of so it doesn't evolve into another bad habit of yours.
    TLDR;
    1. Time your engages so you're not the first person to take aggro, and you're not in position to be a convenient person that enemy flankers can aggro onto.
    2. Make sure that the enemy has to invest big cooldowns if they want to reach you and contest you. They should never be able to get to you for free by simply walking towards you.
    3. Don't waste your cooldowns unnecessarily, both on yourself and your allies. And especially not waste all your cooldowns at the same time. Again, positioning and lack of respect for enemy ease of lethality is the main culprit here.
