We live in an Asian area and discovered these drums with all of the amazing weddings they have here. That wonderful drum beat brings back happy memories of precovid summer mornings at 07.30. Brilliant 👏
Best way I learnt is with dhandiya gujarati sticks (if you cannot yet buy the Dagga or Tilli) I put one pillow on each leg Will definitely be ordering a dhol now thank you

Dear bro salam from pakistan.. The land of Guru Nanak ji.Dhol is an instrument used by all sufis to convey their message to others. U r really a good instructor. Im Ph.D student here and i suggest you if u can write ur lesson formula in pdf which u tell at every variation,s start. It will b more than helpful to all of us. Stay blessed
Most importantly make sure your technique is correct. Also push yourself when practicing. It is a slow process but you can take a shortcut by practicing more and practicing correctly

Hi. Love your videos. I was wondering where I could find a metronome that makes a different sound for the 6 and 8 beat. Normally when you count in tabla the 6 and 8 beat are flat palm claps, but i dont know any metronomes that do tha5

Nice lectures and specially your way of delivering it.i have seen first two lectures. I have a question that every dholi when he is playing daga why he is touching the skin of dhol while playing. Is it to stop the vibration produced on skin for next stroke of beat.
Thank you for your kind message. Dhol players stop the vibration of the skin with their fingers sometimes to stop the resonance on the bass side, this creates a different feel of the beat. I hope that helps
Oh I really like this. Could you please guide me what type of dhol should I purchase and how I can get it during this lockdown? I just want to begin learning soon.
Hi Indy, love your dhol lessons..I am following exactly what you explained, but I'm not coming into rhythm. How long it's going to take? I practice every day for one hour, I practice various beats, giving 10-15 minutes to each one, but none of it in rhythm, it does not sound the same when out of rhythm. How long should I practice, pls help me, (btw I practice on dholak, i dont have dhol at the moment) im waiting to get better so that i can buy big dhol for me as a reward:))Thank you so much for your wonderful channel.
