We're waiting on a delivery, £380 for a 7980xe and €250 for Prime X299-A II. It's kinda neat and it's going to replace the work of 3 computers that we can sell. so over all we actually make a small profit on the purchase 3950x would have been cheaper over all but PCIe lanes is a thing also, i just turned 25. and happy 30 in 4 months!
Laurent I will follow you from now on, you are funny and your videos are the perfect match for my learning philoshophy ...or something like that. , I need to upgrade my audio pc , I am thinking on buying this motherboard. Would you still think is a good buy for 2020? or you have others reviews I should see. I do not need a cpu with too many cores, a 6 or 8 max. I dont need wifi, video cards or audio on the motherboard, just a solid reliable board. Luis.
Hi there Louis. Thank you so much for your kind words. X299 platforms are good but I worry about the CPU cost. I would suggest u go for a z390 or possible a x570 board (3700x cpu ?). That last on will do what a x299 can do and it's much easier/durable board all together.
@@Laurentschoice Thank you for your advice, I just found a bundle at microcenter with this motherboard, ASUS Z390-E ROG Strix Gaming Intel LGA 1151 ATX Motherboard . Do you have any reviews on it? ,
i found this very helpful but i am unsure if it will work with the Intel Core i7-9800X X-Series Processor 8 Core up to 4.4 GHz Turbo Unlocked processors
I would have preferred buying the delux edition but right now the prices are insane. I was wondering if this board can handle an i9980xe processor and can potentially do some overclocking.
I’m having nothing but problems with this mobo and asus warranty support is more like a witch hunt. I have the x299 prime deluxe just for the thunderbolt 3 card but if you try to use it it will stop working and will only be recognized if I swap it to another pci slot then same thing if I try to use it haha. And my Vega cards show up as vga can’t find firmware error but the cards are working just fine. I feel they rushed this out as you can see by the many bios releases. Have you had any issues. I also can not get Ubuntu to work on this either and that’s odd I have it running on a gigabyte x299 system no issues. On this the WiFi shows up as no firmware found on either 802.11 ab or ad . Thank you for your time.
There was a subsequent BIOS update which did double the memory support . At the time of review that update was not yet available or announced. I hope this clarifies :)

It can. Absolutely
thx, had searched for this :)
love the videos and love our accent
Asus Prime X299-A VS Prime X399-A? which is better? ASAP
There are about the same, the difference is the CPU (Intel X vs threadripper)
For my money I would go Threadripper ;)
Laurent's Choice what is intel x & treadripper?
Carlo_ boy x399 = threadripper. X299 = intel
16x - 16x -16x if you have an i9 7980xe (44 pci lanes) :D ;)
How do I connect to hdmi
Does this take a i7-9700k?
Price?
In the conclusion of the video :)
This will shut off sata ports if you use all the pci slots
+Review This agreed :)

Does it work with amd
No :)
You are wrong, the I9-10900x will address 256 GB of memory on these boards, I have one such machine.

lol good one that I needed this
No link?
+Jamie Shows u know ur absolutely right.
I should add some.. I will from mow on
can i put i5 8400?
No. 8400 is a LGA 1151 cpu sockets and can only work with X370 motherboards.
What you need is a Z370 prime A (watch my review on it )
Laurent's Choice which is better Z370-A or X299-A?
What is ur application? X299 is usually for intensive office work .
If for gaming z370 is what u need
Laurent's Choice thanks, im going for prime z370-a. So what parts do i need? I want a CPU - i5 8400x GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070ti. Is that ok?
X299Y?.. what an expensive mess XD
Anyway the m.2 shield probably will decrease temp performance (gamers nexus).
+exoRDR 'pro you know... I have to admit ... X299 seems to be a little light for a chipset upgrade.
I got to agree with u on that one !
o don’t care bout your birthday
Someone needs a big new year hug !! Mwaa !
Laurent's Choice sorry I was in a bad mood cause I need to buy a good pc board
