The Stick! The infamous Paul Clark stick. One soon to be included in the Paul Clark Super Ultra Premium Elite Special Platinum Limited Edition Brush Set? Cause that would be cool. Another outstanding painting. With Outstanding instruction. Sauced with some Outstanding comedy. Squirrels nuts Pale Ale🤣..... I pulled a rib laughing... Carve a sweet stick or two while in the tree... Cheers!
Another Lol comment Vernon - and the funny thing is 'Squirrels nuts Pale Ale' is a real beer!!!
@@ArtbyPaulClark I had no doubt! Probably a damn good one too!
Love Squirrels at the best of times and love your humour! Young at heart. Don't ever grow up! Your brushstrokes were hypnotising. Thanks so very much! We don't have any Squirrels here in South Australia. My cousin and wife lived in a forest park in Germany, where many Squirrels were dashing to and fro. What a delight those little creatures were. The balcony was a favourite hiding place for one Squrills stash. No one dared to use the balcony.
Oh thank you too!
You know how you can't help laughing when someone falls down??? Well, I'm laughing right now... Your sense of humor gets me every time and I can just see that little red squirrel shaking with laughter as he knocked over your ladder and pushed you from the tree.... Squirrels are like that. Vicious little creatures. But, the painting is Fabulous!! If only they could always be sweet like the painting...... sigh.... Lots of love from Alabama
That's always great to hear Shirley - many thanks!!!
This is the second tutorial I have followed from you and they are simple excellent! Thank you!!!!
Glad you like them!
Thanks for the lovely painting. Hope you survived the fall from the tree!! I can remember seeing a Red Squirrel on Brownsea Island, Dorset some years ago beautiful.
It's the Paul Clark Day 😀 ....Thank you for this beautiful lime and wash painting!
My pleasure 😊
You are so funny sir paul! 🤣 i love every painting you made for us.
Thank you so much 😀
Painting,as cooking has allways been my confort place away from work . But somewhere along the way the sketch book rested for a long time over the piano, in front of a window facing Cascais bay, so inspirational and yet so forgotten. But a week ago, looking for some ideas for one of my sons doing a watercolour paint i arrived at this piece of paradise..your videos. Thank you, for reminding me of what actually makes me happy. More then the great techniques, its the not feeling alone when painting, on the other side, unaware, its someone and many many someones that share the same passion.
Lovely comment - thanks so much Joana!
Thankyou Paul for this lovely painting and for your words about the plight of the beautiful red squirrels.
You are very welcome
You are the best, funniest painter. Your films are full of humories, brilliant and inventive. I can't wait for another film. I will painting with You. You are the MASTER!
Wow, thank you!
Watching your tutorials is a bit like getting a "Kinder Egg" - surprise, play and fun, just the chocolate is missing. But I can manage without the chocolate... after all, the squirrel was redish-brown. I really enjoyed this one! Keep up the great work!
That's great! .. although I'm not sure I can do without the chocolate!!
I am from Hong Kong and started painting with watercolour just yesterday. I bought the same colour set in the video. They are beautiful. I am going to paint a lot with it😊
Wonderful! - best of luck! 😊
Paul I could watch you paint and listen to you for hours. You're really teaching me to relax more while painting! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much 😀
Just Love your tutorials. They are without doubt the most informative and inspiring of all the other similar tutes on the internet

Thank you! Cheers!
Love all your tutorials. LOVE the sketches you provide because I can't draw BUT I enjoy water-coloring. It is a way to relax. I'm a total beginner. Wish I had picked up this hobby back when COVID first hit. Thank you for helping us newbies along.....
Thank you so much 😀 - delighted to help Josie!
So I gave it a go. Turned out ok. Nothing like the masters painting. Loosening up is not so easy for me. Miles to go.
And lastly the view atop the tree must be real beautiful. Climbing up trees, wow another talent😀
Thanks for sharing - always loved climbing trees!
Beautiful squirrel..You are officially the new Bob Ross..Thank you from Italy!! 😊🎨🖌

Paul, this came out great! Again, you have such a good eye for colors! And you did an animal! Thank you! I always love your humor, please continue with that! and please continue, teaching us, Lauren
You are so welcome .. will do Lauren!
The drawing is beautiful and applying the paint makes the whole thing look superb. Line and wash is easy because you demonstrate it in a fun way with humor and jest. Thank you for showing us how to paint an animal the correct way using line and wash.
Thank you so much 😀
This video just made my day. 🤗 I have to confess that I had the squirrels from my neighbourhood "bribed" with nuts and apples, some even took food from my hand and entered my house. I had to stop doing it because my Yorkshire dog is too old to spend all day playing with them. A thousand of THANKS for this fantastic video 🤩
My pleasure Laura ... great little story!
Loved the painting! By the way, you're nuts lol 😆
Lol! - Thank you!! 😁
We have a family of reds living in our yard here in Maine, US they have been a bit destructive in the past couple years. We had Greys that were getting into our attic and doing damage so we had them relocated and sure enough the next year the reds came. Not sure which did more damage. The red squirrels actually ate holes in tanks on yard equipment that held gas. You would think they would steer clear of that but nope and the only thing worse for it was the yard equipment, the squirrels are still thriving. Wish they would move along and only visit on occasion. Love this painting and the use of the stick... brilliant I need to give that a go!
That's great info - thanks for sharing!!!
You go to so much trouble for our enjoyment! Greatly appreciated. Lovely picture again. Thank you!
Thanks again!
Love the little squirrel painting. I feel like I'm watching an old vaudeville comedy act. You guys are like George Burns and Gracie Allen. Clark and Lofts. You guys lift my spirits. Thanks
Wow, thank you Vicki!!
We’ve a little red squirrel that visits our communal garden he/she was in the hazelnut tree this morning, so your painting spoke to me! Like to re-create it! He/she often sits in the grass or on a branch gnawing a nut! Thanks for your help! Such cute little things! I also bought a packet of cheap twig pens!hi,hi!

I can remember Paul when I was a young boy and how excited a got when I received mail or pen pal letters in the mail box each week. It is with that same anticipation, that I look forward to what your going to paint and teach us each week. And the humor you throw in a long with a different spirit or Ale with each project makes it that much more fun sir. As always, I appreciate you style and work Paul. Thanks, Mike in Cali

Joined your channel not too long ago and... I love it!!! I always join you with a Gun Tonic afterwards... stirred... Not shaken! 😃
Love your channel and the way you enjoy it!... And... Never grow up!!! The heart is where it is, independently of where your body "seems" to take you... (I know this for a fact... and, NO, I'm NOT that Old...). 😎
Anyway... thank you for your energy, the way you communicate and... the way you SHARE!!! (Tour knowledge and... yourself!)...

Glad it helps Dilys!!!
Hi Paul, I have recently started watching you paint from QLD Australia, and have to say I always have a great time watching, having a chuckle at your jokes and learning new things about the medium of watercolour. I have always loved the composition of water colour paintings and wonder how they turned out that way. This medium of art is just the best and having talented artists/teachers like you to watch makes my heart sing. Thank you for posting your work and I only hope to be as great as you are one day!!

Absolutely lovely, Paul - thank you so much! I was fortunate enough to spend six months in Cumbria some years ago and lived nine miles from the nearest town. To my delight, I saw red squirrels many times and it really lifted my heart to see them.
Sounds great Susan! - none down our way but I'm sure I remember seeing them as a kids.

What a great lesson! I love the little daisy , sure the squirrel too, thanks for posting the guide. By the way I used calligraphy ink which mixed with the color, somehow a little bit of messy .

This entire video was such fun! You're a wild and crazy guy! :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great to see another fabulous line and wash with my favourite brand Schmincke. You, Sir, are truly a jack of all trades and master of all! Hopefully the red squirrel will regain its territory in due time.
I just adore Schmincke because the colours appear so natural and are less 'in your face' compared to -let's say- Daniel Smith. Really looking forward to see how you like these paints on more conventional watercolour paper. Many thanks!
Thank you Kindly as ever - love the paints too!
The art is great as always and Love the humor too
Thanks Cathy!
This style is a goal I am practicing towards with watercolour. No linework just yet but getting the feel of the brush and working the colours. These videos are amazing and really funny, they remind me of the instructional videos I was shown as a kid at school in the 90s. I loved those so much! Really nice to have found something similar now in my 30s :)
You can do it!
Such a good tutorial, really easy to follow and such great results! Thankyou! 🐿️🐿️🐿️🤍🤍🤍
