I was born in America, my ancestors are from Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. I was raised a Christian, but I've had so many questions along the way that are just confusing to me. I started diving recently into paganism and then started feeling guilty and even more confused. This video has given me much peace. I know what I feel and have felt since a child is real, it's Animisim. I'm loving your videos.

Then started thinking about how each region of the world has similar sort of practices that connected with nature. So being British I thought I'd start with Celtic traditions.

Dear Stella, 50 years ago I was born in Germany and nearly my whole life I always ask myself WHY? Why I was born in a land where I felt so out of place. More than the last 15 years I did a lot of healing work for my ancestors and me. Always guided by my Higher Self (consciously or unconsciously :-) I moved from northern Germany to the east, where I spent the last 15 years.
To speak to our ancestors, to feel them and to heal their path means healing for us. With all my Beeing I know now, that my work here is done and now I can go further on my on (which is also theirs) spiritual path. The Celtic Spirituality is one force my heart belongs to.
    Thank you for your work!
With a big hug form Germany, Shuna

Recent research suggests that the Celts didn't reach Ireland in significant numvers. Modern Irish are descendants of preceltic people genologically speaking. There is also some evidence that the cultural markers currently identified as "Celtic" may have in fact originated in western europand moved east rather than brought west with the Celts. It's actually possible that those markers originated in Ireland...

Why am I here? 🩵 I am native New Zealand Māori, my nana on mums side is NZ born English Irish woman now in spirit 🩵 I as a child loved the Wiccan way, as a teen studying all sorts as well as my Māori side I’ve learnt similarities throughout the world with respect and love of nature and our ancestors. My eye is opened in my dreams and there I believe I met Morrigan, she was a intense eyed woman with red hair and was getting me to follow her out of a forest, so I did, then (all without words) was getting me to hop on to a giant Raven with her. I did not so she flew away. Ever since that encounter I have been obsessed with getting the knowledge mostly of her, internet doesn’t help AT ALL so yea that’s why I’m here 😂 hi and thank you for sharing this 😊

Hi there- wonderful video- one thing i wanted to bring up that is usually overlooked is that Proto-Celts & Celts migrated to the Iberian Peninsula- in prehistory- approximately 12,000 BC and from there migrated north into Britania- Scotland etc… i did see you added Portugal- but please include the origins of what is now known as Spain - and more precisely Galicia and north western Iberian Peninsula. This is the origins of the Gaelic - Galicians- Galicia and also known as CeltiIberians.
I am a Medicine Woman- and Healer - very much drawn to Celtic and proto celtic traditions- until I realized that it was in my blood - extending from Ancestors in Galicia & Portugal.
    Many blessings

I´d love to hear someone speaking to the overlay of (celtic) spirituality and activism. If we believe the earth is sacred, we must protect her, and in these trying times with the rise of the climate crisis, and all other linked crises, this connection is something i have been missing deeply in the pagan communities. People like starhawk would be wonderful elders with insight from research, experience in gathering spiritual communities and doing direct action to protect the world we need for survival. no witches on a dead planet.

YES. The offerings and practices I am currently encouraging people to do are litter picking & water guardianship!
My pov is that we should all care for our local area and get to know our bioregion, while eliminating as much pollution from our lives as possible.

At 73 years of age now, I think it's fair to say my path has been a long one with many and many a twist and turn. Yet, and looking back over all that time, Nature has always been my tried and true spiritual healer. And it's only been in the past 20 years or so that I've learned the majority of my ancestry is almost entirely Scottish sprinkled with Saxony French and German. As a young adult, I began studying, and living herbal and nutritional healing, but the work and commitments of family and earning a living pulled me away from the full commitment to being the Seeker I've always been. Now your channel comes to me! Thank you!

I truly believed we are born pagan/animist.
I never felt a connection to Christianity. "Nature is my church" was always my motto. I followed Native American Spirituality (Cherokee) due to knowing it was apart of my ancestry.
Oddly, I hadnt really heard of the term pagan until my early 20s. It was then that I really stared branching out and looking for more of what "felt fitting" spiritually.
From a house plant group, I found out about green witches. Then looked into Wicca. It didnt really seem like a good fit.
I stumbled upon Jacob Toddson's 'The Wisdom of Odin' while looking up pre-Christian Germanic beliefs and felt that CLICK!! Through Norse Paganism, I have learned SO much and met so many amazing people.
As of recently, although Ive attempted to start but just didnt know where to, im diving more into "Celtic paganism". I have a lot of English, Scottish, and some Irish ancestry. I want to learn what their pre-Christian beliefs are!
Is Anglo-Saxon paganism a step in that direction? I havent heard it mentioned in your videos that ive seen.
I also recently joined OBOD and am pretty excited about that. It really resonates with me!

Today I participated in a meditation in person with a group that was also connected by zoom with people all over the world. The facilitators were in Glastonbury England. They brought us to the 12th dimension energetically, then called in the energy of Jesus, Mother Mary, and the Druids. I didn’t expect anything other than a nice meditation. When I felt the energy of the Druids I suddenly felt so happy, I had a huge grin. I felt like my friends had come back to me after being gone a long time. I’ve never had a thought like that about Druids before. I have studied psychic healings and readings, etc. The experience with the Druid energy was such a profound feeling, I went home and started learning about Druids. It’s sad so much has been lost, but I feel a sense of having been a Druid in a past life. I know next to nothing about Druids and don’t claim to be anything special. I’m just sharing my experience in the hopes someone may reach out who knows more than I about it.

@@stellamariehereSorry, Replied previously with the wrong account >.<
From 33:50 onwards she says almost exactly the same as I did in my comment. In fact the sources she states are the ones i got my info from.
The tribes were collectively called the Pretani, Prettanikē was the oldest name for the British Isles, and that it became Britannia when the original Greek was turned into Latin...
Only issue would be Prettanikē and Pretannia. Every time I read it, Pretannia was given as the equivalent of the Greek Prettanikē but as I'm no expert on Ancient Greek I can't say how accurate that is.
Oh and the painted ones thing. Which I spose could be a modern thing and so let's just assume I was wrong about that.

Given that my white ancestors came from Ireland, England, Scotland, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Poland & Norway, I've been interested in looking into Germanic & Celtic beliefs. Dear God, is what we know about the Celtic religion an absolute mess. Lol There's kind of a superficial collection of things most people kind of agree on that is given as a general idea that we do understand it, followed by hundreds of pages of stories, archaeological finds & documentation that seems to strongly suggest otherwise. But, it's fun to look into, just from an aspect of understanding where our peoples came from.
According to what I've read, coming from the Irish, this is also the whitest religion ever. The gods establish dynasties & pass on their godship & power through their family lines, everything that exists already explicitly belongs to something, somewhere, somehow & not to you & you have to have symbolically screwed a god in order to have the right to be king.

It hasn't been long since making this video but i've come to absolutely love the mystery within it all and allowing it to unfold into my own life and my communities life, as the Celtic tradition was always a living tradition, it was never one thing because life itself is ever changing.
