Wow! I just watched a documentary about how in some parts of Madagascar, people also believe that having twins is a curse. Mothers are suppose to kill or abandon their twins outside their village! If they want to keep their twins, they are kicked out of the villages. What makes it doubly cruel is that area has one of the highest twin birth rates in the world. There's an actual orphanage that was made to rescue abandoned twins!
