In Poland and Hungary they even went so far to crown their female monarchs as kings, not queens - so you have king Jadwiga of Poland or king Mary of Hungary, sisters both from XIV century.

I've often wondered what sort of children Elizabeth I and Dudley would have parented if they had married and had children.
@ThatOnePolitics It depends on what you count as "Queen." By the logic that they had to be queen at the time of their execution, only Anne Boylen counts as Catherine Howard was deprived of her title before her execution. Although Henry annulled their marriage, Anne was made queen by an act of parliament, so it was harder to take away. If you go for coronated queens, Anne and Mary would both count. These queens were also seen as ordinated by God to rule back then. Even if Mary addicted, she still referred to herself as Queen. She was also a dowager queen of France, which was never taken away. I was going for Queens declared so by their countrys' government's. Parliment declared Jane was Queen, even if it only lasted 9 days before they hung her out to dry. Mary was declared queen of Scotland and France for a time being (I never said they were all queens of England, only that they were beheaded IN England). Anne was declared queen by law, Catherine was declared queen via her marriage.
