It took me a couple of months of avoiding tracking and two agonizing hours of me searching for a video that answers my questions, but I finally found what I needed. Thank you
The text and arrow walkthrough were great tips! Have had amazing and terrible success with tracker in fusion but this was a nice reminder how simple it can be. Thanks!
Excellent Dunna. Well explained dude. I'll be using that on some drone footage I was a bit heavy handed with - ie, not a smooth turn. And not forgetting how superb Davinci Resolve is - the creative possibilities with this software are seemingly unending.
I had plans to make a video that uses tracking and was gonna look up how to do it tomorrow. Low and behold, RUclips knows what I need before I even ask.
Man, this was really helpful! Having done any and all VFX/MoGr/Compositing work in AE for about 7 years, trying to learn Fusion and understand the Node system has been really difficult, but this broke it down in a great way to where now I'll definitely at least try tracking out in Fusion. (At least for non-Mocha things!) Thank you!
Thanks this helps a lot, I'm trying to stabilize a subject in a video, but it was filmed roughly, like moving closer and tilting, rotating the camera. Been struggling with Resolve's automatic stabilize options. Getting different results on all three options perspective, similar etc. What I like about this option, I can edit the timeline of each frame where the box is pointing. Can't seem to find if there is any such options for stabilize, because it actually does a decent job with the automatic stabalize options, but it always at least a few frames that cause the footage to jump or jerk near the end. Would be freakn amazing if there was such timeline options for Stabilize. Then I could just correct those specific frames near the end of the video.
very easy to understand tutorial although i ran in to one issue that i don't think was discussed in the video, i got my tracked object and everything tracks fine but for some reason the object is not centered and i can't find any thing explaining how to center it, some advice would be great
Hey Dunna, thanks for the video! At the beginning, around 0:55, you said you imported music from IG reels? How do you do that? I always wondered and always had a hard time lining up music with my videos because I couldn't directly import!
how would I track say a window in one video so that I can use a video asset of a window frame on fire to lock to the position of the window in the main video?
How did you get you fusion page to be 2160X3840x32 float? Whenever I am working with vertical timelines with vertically shot video and open the same in fusion page, it always shows a vertical clip 'fitted' to a 16:9 aspect ratio frame and when i switch back to edit page, the clip turns out to be very small in size which has to be resized manually to fill the entire screen.
I'm trying to track 2 objects! A person, and a ball, and edit so they both stay in the frame during action, zooming in and out, framing left and right. Any thoughts?
Hi, Thanks for the awesome explaination, however I facing a problem which when I press the tracking bottom the Davinci resolve didn't have any respond and the operation list cannot open as well, do you know what's the problem is ? thanks!
What do i do if i dont want the text to move along? If i add a text its still obbly because of the zoom and perspective, i cant find anything to solve it
I mean, I already seen this tutorial from another youtube and it is exactly the same method but I don't quite understand that one. On the other hand, this guy make it a lot more detail and noob friendly which I really appreciate. But one thing I would ask is sometime the tracking goes bad how can I edit it point by point?
Thank you so much!! Editing points is really annoying and frustrating. I’m still trying to find a way to explain it that’s a bit more beginner to intermediate friendly. To be honest though, I will often just ignore it if I can’t get it to track nicely.
@@dunnadidit Subscribe! If you see my channel I usually use manual tracking only but lately I can't stop my self from tracking everything lol, so tracking workload seem bigger and bigger. I would really appreciate if you can make tracking beginner friendly
Tracker has very poor performance, in fact it failed everytime to track anything while i am editing gaming videos, it might be due to the nature of video games pixel, but anyway it does not work at all,

As I'm learning Davinci this tutorial just saved a bunch of my vids, thank you.
You started convince me to switch to Resolve... it looks fantastic. Amazing video
Lol you’re not the first person to say that! Come to the dark side!
My English is not so good, but what i will say.......its a absolutely phantastic Tutorial. Great Thanks!!!! Karl 👍👍

It works really we’ll when it works haha.
There we go! That's what I was looking for, and also using a Hummingbird
Loved it! Getting into Davinci Resolve slowly :-)
Great to hear!
Dig it! Seems like it would be beneficial to shoot wider if you’re suspecting a stabilize adjustment. Thanks for sharing.
Precisely!!
*and also at the highest resolution possible with your camera*
Love this simple explanation. Thank you for taking the time to explain each step

SMASHED IT Dunna! Great tutorial! Not sure I'll use this for now, but will add it to the toolkit!! Thankyou!!
Thanks boss!
@@dunnadidit No no....thankyou Dunna!!!
Super clear to understand! Would love to learn how you merge these effects to happen simultaneously.
Awesome work! Well explained mate 👏🏾
You're making a very good case for me to switch over to DR17 from FCP
Haha 😂 that’s not my goal but I’m not mad about it
This is excellent!! Thank you!!
Awesome video thumbs up thanks for this.
This was just what i was looking for. Great tut 👌

thank you very i was not able to understand the fg ober bg and bg only things before and cant we do text on the same clip instead of another clip
Amazing tutorial
Great tutorial! Can you do this on the color tab though? I’m on an iPad Pro and the Fusion tab isn’t functional yet.
Thanks for the video!!! I’ve been wondering how to do this, but just wasn’t sure what to look up 😅
Nice! Glad it was helpful!
Thanks, helped a lot
Great tutorial!
Thank you!
do you know how to edit the green tracker line and adjust any nudges the auto tracker applies that you don't want?

Is there a way to correct the fusion tracking? Like edit to where fusion points the box? Cause sometimes it goes off target.
Nice! Any ideas what's causing the green selection box to go completely black when I move it?
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Do you have a tutorial on how to make a cinematic film title template? I want to learn how to make 1 like the "tropical colors" be selling.
Not yet but I’ll consider it!
Thank you for the video sir, can I ask can we locked on track it using planar tracking ? Thank you in advance
Awesome 🔥
Let’s get it!!
is it possible to add more than one tracker to fine tune the movement? because there's still a bit of movement
Impressive. Would absolutely use this if I find the right kind of scene for it.

yesss dunna did it
Yaaaasssss!
How would you use this to track movement such as a soccer player?

After i found some KI-Voice generated crap videos about that .... this one is perfectly done and explained. I prefer humans.
Like!
Thanks so much!! Glad you enjoyed it!
what if i want just want to constraint the x-axis and not they y-axis to center the object?
Love ur vids
i have ran into an issue where when i add text it has two clips that are transparent and in sync and i cant get them the be aligned
Thanks a ton! Are these tools available in the free version?
How did you import the music from IG reels??
Also, great tutorial! Hah
I’m going to be doing a tutorial on that soon too!

what do i do if the tracker doesnt recognise the object?
bro how to add Circle Vintage That works with tracker but doesn't move around the edges
