Welcome To Hell was an extremely sloppy album; hard to tell through all the distortion, but you can hear it. Still one of my all-time favorite albums. 😂

Around 83' or 84' my then girlfriend`s older brother gave me two tapes that he wasn't really in to and figured I would like. Slayer`s Show no Mercy and Venom`s Black Metal. I never heard anything like that before, those two tapes back to back transformed me from a Rock n Roll fan to a life long Metal head in one afternoon lol

It's really inspiring to see Cronos still have every bit of grit and power in his voice as he has for decades. You'll hear James from Metallica sing very clean and professional to save his voice, but Cronos doesn't even seem to strain when doing his incredible vocals as an old man now. Still the very best and dirtiest of extreme metal.

Metallica's played more shows in the average tour month than Venom's played in the average tour year. That's a ton more wear-and-tear on the ol' cords.

infelizmente eu não consigo gostar dos álbuns lançados a partir dos anos 2000, já os dois full hength que o Venom Inc lançou, acho dois baita álbuns, muito bons, é tipo o Venom da era Prime Evil, porem melhor produzido e mais pesado

I first heard them in 1983 on a recorded cassette given to me by a friend. He was like..."DUDE! You gotta hear this!".
In the old days , used to go and watch them rehearse in a church hall in Newcastle with their old singer Clive , this was before Conrad had joined . Happy days .

I bought welcome to hell in 81 @ tiny import shop in small city Australia. Sent away for Tshirt...got it next month. Wore it to local gigs & nobody knew who the band were! Bought Black metal L.P in 82 & still have it...one of my favorites of all time!
I don't know why people complaining about the sound. The vocals are loud clear and have effects and you can hear the crowd singing back.

Remember seeing Venom in 2006. Goatwhore was on before them. Goatwhore were living in Arizona for some time after hurricane Katrina. So they had a big local following. After Goatwhore finished there set about 95% of the crowd left. So around 15 people were left waiting for Venom. Venom played about a 20 mins set and left. I remember some of the people were pissed and yelling for them to come back
I'm glad I got to see the original lineup perform at Milwaukee Metalfest.
Saw Slayer open for them many moons ago at The Rave !
I was there. After many years of watching online, I WAS THERE. I even got a guitar pick from the band. :')

@@SimionLee Depois do show e nas matérias que vieram na revista metal era de que não foi o Exciter que abriu para o Venom e sim o Venom que fechou para o Exciter,rsrs.Exciter tocou com a bateria da marca Lurhier com pinturas de labaredas,marca nacional,lembra? Os caras arrebentaram e teve aquele lance do líder do Venom que deu um tapa no microfone,acho que deu choque pois ele chegou a sair do palco nas logo passou a raiva e voltou. Rede Bandeirantes junto com Fluminense FM fizeram a propaganda no rádio e tv. Ótimos tempo, abraços. Long Live The Loud!

HxH MxM MxHH HxMM sacô? e pagavam de machões ! o village people ja dizia isso deles machoman ! 🤣 falando em revista metal meu anúncio saiu na edição número 12 com iron e acdc na capa ! recebi cartas de varias roqueiras e acredite ... até namorei umas hj em dia .... os cabra nao sabe nem oq é trocar cartas e só poha de direct !
@@SimionLee saquei kkkk.Carecas do subúrbio,vi uma matéria na Revista de Domingo do jornal do Brasil a época,uma foto com os caras encostados em uma parede fazendo cara de brabo,e comentaram que achavam a turma do heavy isso aquilo e não mais o que e que gostavam de juntar na porrada,puro recalque e inveja pois em minha opinião nunca vi nada nesse chamado movimento que nunca levou para lugar nenhum. Vi alguns pelo Circo em um show da banda Rosa Tatuada e outra local e pensei na época já 93 ,que estariam ali para arrumar tumulto. Tudo cu de rola, não dúvido que hoje os que estão em vida estejam barrigudos com filhos ralando peito e sentados de frente para tv enchendo a pança de cerveja barata,pois careca se denominavam ,portanto não precisavam esperar a calvície,rsrs. Perderam o bonde da curtição por conta de atitude babaca e nós e o som pesado estamos aí firme e forte. Coquetel Molotov caraca brow,era para arrasar quarteirão! Valeu! Chegou o sono,frio aqui onde estou na serra gaúcha,6° graus,vou nessa. Felicidades.

I remember winning a Venom - Black Metal tshirt at the fair back in the 80s. It didn't last long - definitely bootleg - pretty wild fair had a game with Venom shirt though. I still own some of their vinyl.

I second to that, this guitarist is horrible, his tone is shit. Mantas has that unique tone that makes venom special, but the presence of Cronos is important. The band is split in two now because of egos. At least we can choose
The main reason why i always liked metal, wasn't even because of the music itself. It was attitude...The "Fuck it, doesn't have to be perfect, just rip shit apart and have a good time." Then with time things got way too technical....which is fine, but, i really prefer raw or even sloppy shit. Damn, metal is freedom.
