McCarthy PO record with the Cowboys, 1-3. Dak now has the worst PO record of any Cowboy starter in franchise history, 2-5. This is why coaches and older players are on the last year of their contracts. As Jerry said recently, he expects this team to be playing in February. A lot of talk over regular season success, but little to none how this team doesn't compete after week eighteen.
He will certainly have that record if he continues to not win because he is on track to be there as much as anybody that has played here. but that may change starting next season. Dallas has holes to fill

Called it abusive, well it was at times, but most of the time it was exactly what players needed. Snapped back to reality, you're not so good you can win alone. Going into the NFL is a privilege, not a right. Dak, I can only say about his leadership is IDK, I seen teammates disrespect him, ignore him, but I've also seen them respond to his. Probably the fact that he is under criminal investigation for alleged rape is a contributing factor in not signing any contracts at this time. I mean he could get in serious trouble with the NFL over that. Which if he is guilty then he should.
But in any event that would be a very strong motivator to wait and see how things look as they unfold rather than signing contracts for millions of dollars. In fact if he is found guilty Dallas wouldn't owe him anything but back pay. I am really shocked that no one has seemed to correlate the events of a criminal investigation for possible rape and the failure to sign a contract extension. There might be more to that story than meets the eye. I mean he did lie and say that he didn't even know her at the outset and then changed his story. Then he went and put a countersuit immediately which is a typical intimidation tactic when such things happen. He could be innocent but he very well could be guilty too. And that would lead to sanctions from the NFL and he might get banned from the league.
Either way you guys are screwed. If Dak comes back it’ll cost you a ton and it’ll be a problem signing him CeeDee and Micah. If you let him walk you only gets 3rd comp pick. But the side issue is what are you paying Lance? He’s due to be a free agent as well. His agent, if it were me, I would not budge off of market value for his services. Are you ready to pay those prices on a question mark at QB? Draft a QB early next year? Well, Dak will play well enough to have you drafting at 18-24.
