So , one of our goals in the offseason was to improve our run defense as was the case against the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs in which Aaron Jones ran wild through our defense. So , through free agency , we lost Dorance Armstrong , Jonathan Hankins, Neville Gallimore , and Dante Fowler. We picked up no defensive linemen in free agency and we drafted 2nd rounder DE Marcus Kneeland and 7th rounder Justin Rogers . We also picked up a couple undrafted rookies along the defensive line. We are putting our hopes that our run defense will be better with Osa Odighizuwa, an extra 40 pound weight gain Mazi Smith , Chauncey Golston , and a 7th round rookie who we hope makes the roster . I hate to be pessimistic, but im gonna go out on a limb and say our run defense isnt gonna be as good as it was last season. I have to be true to myself. I cant lie and say i predict its gonna be better. I hope im wrong though. To me , Mazi Smith has got the most pressure on him , cause he was a premium 1st round pick and we need him to wreak havoc like you say .

Mark ,actual advice, because I have had weight problems. Cut out fatty processed foods, chips and cookies etc. And do a 3 on 2 off workout with high reps and walking as much as possible. If you truly wanna loose weight you can. Effort + consistency = weight loss

Mazi is playing in an entirely different scheme now. DQ wants his DL to get up field, which is why it was so easy to run on us. We only wanted to pass rush. Zimmer wants his DL to control their gaps. That fits Mazi skill set. He is strong AF. We just need him to live in the A-Gap and not move.
