Pho King fires back at Health District on Dirty Dining

- For the second week in a row, “pho” has been “blah” in health inspector reports. The manager of this week’s restaurant is a self-proclaimed Dirty Dining fan who welcomed Chief Investigator Darcy Spears' visit as an opportunity to fire back at the Health District.

More places need the Pho King manager. He admitted that stuff was wrong and is actively fixing these issues and his work is proving well from the new inspections.

Without these inspections and posted grades, they have no incentive to do the right thing, and even the A graded places are lazy and nasty when the inspector isn't there.
I'm a service mechanic, been in the kitchen of many restaurants and chains, and see it all the time. It'll make your stomach turn. For what I've seen, I'll never eat at an Olive Garden.

Yes, I think Olive Gardens are nasty and filthy. I’ve done work in several of them.
Applebee’s by comparison are far better.

Went there last year to get some pho at this location, as soon as I finished and was heading out I saw that they were using a stainless steel steam pan as a garbage collecter in the kitchen, never went back.
Great Pho King name for a restaurant.
At most places the A+ rating is mostly for one day. Every restaurant that I have worked at 90% of employees NEVER want to clean because they think someone else will do it for them and they always wait til the last day to do all the cleaning before inspection.
He found every excuse and refused to blame his pho king self. 🙄

I vacationed in Vietnam last year and had some of the best food ever at street side food carts, including pho. Got the runs a couple times but nothing atypical for travel. The worst food poisonings I've ever had were here in the states from a Chipotle and a Jack in the Box, the latter putting me in the ER. - WW

IoI ok you need your whole gut to adjust to the water there, tasting good doesn’t mean good at all hello, and definitely not inspected, know a guy that got a parasite and part of liver taken out and still denial.
Next time you travel make sure you take some grapefruit seed extract pills so that you can avoid getting food poisoning

If you can't adequately handle deliveries that's a you problem not a health department problem

People can get serious food poisoning from eating improperly handled prepared food especially when left out of the refrigerator.

Great job by health inspectors. Many of these restaurants employees and owners lacks of training on food safety. Need to attend food safety training class

It is good to have inspector. I always visit the restroom first before even thinking of eat at a restaurant. The cleanest of a restroom tell you allots about there character in foods and cleanest in food prep.
