    I've got those Edelbrock shocks on my S10. They quit making them like 15 years ago. They are pretty killer. They were like $80 each so pretty pricey (for me) back in the day. They are performer IAS shocks. Inertia Active System. They had a variable valving system that opened up for a smooth ride on a flat road, or stiffened up on rough roads on for carving corners. They work awesome. Now everyone has multi-valving shocks, but Edelbrock was the first that I'd heard of to offer them.

    • @mrmister7526
      @mrmister7526 5 лет назад +2

      As I understand it, the previous generation SBC (the TPI) had a very restrictive intake on it. I believe that Jeremy's dad fabricated the mini ram in an attempt to get more flow. The LT1 intake was a factory progression away from the TPI. Now all small block intake manifolds are plastic in order to prevent the heat soak associated with aluminium.

    • @lb9gta307
      @lb9gta307 5 лет назад +4

      @@mrmister7526 the TPI was specificly designed for low end and mid range torque production at the cost of upper end horsepower. The TPIS Mini Ram which Jeremy's dad helped to develop was made for upper end horsepower. The LT1 and LT4 intake manifolds are basicly GM's version of the TPIS Mini Ram. Very similar.

      Rock bouncing is the drunk, inbred idiots that everyone always hated on trail rides getting all their father cousin brothers together so they don't look any dumber than the next guy.

      @@joshgraves6630 plus I just thought, DirecTV has gotten expensive af! They also can't seem to get along with TV companies, always dropping channels cause they want them to ask for more money from ads just so DirecTV can raise the price again!

      This was 1999, the first year the LS was used in the trucks and only 2 years after it debuted in the Vette. Still too rare and expensive.

    That xtreme was a preproduction model given by GM, and you can tell easily by the mirrors that they stopped using after 98. When they started production xtremes in 99, they all had the newer style mirrors on them and they're a some other small differences.

    the one thing they didnt show was replacing the stock rear end the stock piece would of broke rather quickly especially the axels and the gears are wrong

    • @97delkron
      @97delkron 5 лет назад +2

      either in this episode or one of earlier episodes of this project they mentioned looking into the rear end and determined the stock unit and axles would hold up just fine to the LT1.
