You are one of the greatest people I have ever seen. You are a person in life, just like all of us, but you not only use the things you learn from life to help yourself, but you also help others. If your reeding this, just know that you're a good person, and like a few of us are, you're slowly changing the world.

10 years after this video was made & I am just now seeing it. Sometimes it really can be that bad or even worse. But be brave anyway. Bc it is always better to know the truth. And if people we believed loved us disappear? It will hurt terribly, but there will be room for others who truly do care. This is what I, as an old person, am continuing to learn.

I wonder if he checks his channel, or if he knows how much people really care about what he says, or about how much he impacts so many people, or how every like and comment and subscription is a person with feelings. I wonder if he knows that to me he is a genious, if u think the same then like this so that maybe he'll see it if he does check the this channel and for him to see that everyone else thinks he is a genious too

He has a degree in brain function I think. I can't remember what it is but it makes perfect sense. Isn't it nice to know there are intelligent, beautiful people out there. We only seem to ever hear of the evil few.

He IS a genius. But more importantly, he has a high "emotional quotient" - not just a high # for his "intelligence quotient" (IQ).
His degree is in neuroscience, but somehow along the way he became very good at "psychology" and "philosophy." And when he puts it all together, he is a Multi-Faceted Genius. Like a multifaceted GEM stone!

I am like some other people who have commented, in that I am very late to the party.
But, my god, these videos, All of them make my heart sing and soul smile! They are So insightful i want the world to watch them all. It's important, good people thoughts. Morality, compassion, integrity, beauty, smarts, these videos are full of all of these qualities and so much more! I can't help but feel a little less helpless and a little less hopeless. At least while I watch the video. So eager to know all the stuff he's going to say. I smile ear to ear, I stare down at my tablet filled with a sense of awe. He touches, has been and will continue too for as long as you tube etc exists. I don't think he knows how profound his videos are. How connected we all clearly feel. He's so amazingly insightful, intelligent, enlightened, inspiring, uniting, funny, wity, charming, open.....
I am really glad I have found him and his videos. I am so sad and jealous of others because I am late to the party. I want more. I want to see more of his warm smiles, hear more of his incredibly touching insights.
More videos please. We all love you so much!

I know these are older videos, but I didn't know about these until recently and my husband and I have been mainlining them. And we both agree: You're like Mister Rogers for grown ups.
These talking to us videos remind me that if growing older is hard for me sometimes, that's okay. If I'm still odd, or still don't quite fit in, that's okay too. If I have a hard day, it's okay.
And while I love you for True Facts, I love you most of all for making me feel like I'm okay just the way I am, right now, in this moment. Thank you.

This morning I made a difficult decision while talking to the doctor who was monitoring my mother's rapid health decline. This afternoon I had to take my mom off life support in the ICU and hold her hand while she died. I cried very little while thanking her for all the good things she'd done for me during her difficult life. Then I had to come home to tell my kids their grandma had passed away. Worst day of my life. Does that count as brave?

Ze, if your listening, and I hope you do, I just wanted to tell you a story. A story of a confused, sad and messed up young woman who wrote to sometone she admired and looked up to, someone she had never met before but considerd an ally, if not a friend. She wrote her big and still growing heart out and told him a lot of sorrows of hers, on his website in his ask box as she remembers. You know, this young woman grew up to be a slightly, but only slightly, less younger young woman with a lot more love and hope in her heart. Her story hasnt ended, but she is happier right now than ever before.
That friend has left her since, or so she feels. She isnt mad or anything, she knows he has his own life and when she listens carefully she sometimes heres his voice. She just hoped for a last good bye, is all. Ending that part of the relationshp with a big tush instead of a fading. She isn't mad though, cause his ask box was all she could turn to at the time, and know, as she is a little older, she knows just how horrible it can be to have young girl tears in your freaking ask boy without being responsible or being able to do anything about it. I like you very much Ze.

We had a challenge day at school today. There was one game in which everyone was so brave, it's called 'cross the line', we all stood on one side of a line and a woman read off random statements, if those statements applied to you, you crossed over the line. It got pretty intense and emotional, for some people it took so much bravery to cross that line. But just because of that moment of bravery they realized that there was more to life, and that they weren't alone. It was beautiful to see.

This video relates so much to what I did this past couple of weeks. I finally built up the courage to tell someone how I felt about them, and they said they didn't feel the same way yet, short story, he broke my heart after we tried it out and then I had to have the talk with him about where we stand with friendship and stuff, it wasn't easy, because it was also my first time actually doing something like that, and having to deal with all those feels before, during and after the break up.

Duude! I know you don't get in here anymore but I still want to tell you! Last Friday 19 of January I had to make a presentation and act a monologue I made for 15 minutes in front of my high school peers and I did it amazingly well! I'm soo damn proud insecurities didn't hold me back! I still couldn't sleep from the anxiety that night but daaaaamn son. Everyone clapped so hard. And I thought I could be like you and get better, that I can climb up and up, that I actually have a chance of being an artist and everything I dream of. So thanks. That's the best I can explain how my success reminded me of you

im trans, i remember when i came out to my mother
i remember walking back and forth in my room muttering shivering shaking
    i had a 3 slot CD player
"if metallica comes on ill come out if queen or soad i will keep it in"
master of puppets clicks over the guitars give me confidence and i stormed for the door
    then sat back down
stood up again muttered a bit crinkled my eyebrows the electric guitar kicks in and i bolt out the door and move my way to my mothers room
i sit on her bed and ask her if she has a moment
i mutter and shiver spilling miscellaneous syllables as my mother questions "whats wrong?" "did you eat something?"
    "are you sick?"
    i-uhgh-whu-im-t-t-transss....
silence oh god it burned for those few seconds
"i kinda guessed something like that" she flicks her head back to her computer and keeps typing
i go back to my room and put my headphones back on
    and cry a lot

Wow. The guy who is suffering from such crippling self hatred that he feels the need to spend his time trying to convince depressed strangers to commit suicide thinks that he's the NORMAL one. That's would be hilarious if I didn't feel bad for you.
Honestly mate, I don't really care about your weird backward opinions on trans people or whatever, but if you need to start attacking emotionally vulnerable people in order to get off then you probably have some serious psychological issues and should probably have a good long look at yourself and what motivates this disturbing behaviour before you end up hurting yourself or someone else.
Don't mistake this for aggression. I'm not trying to fight you. I regret calling you names off the bat but I was in a bad mood when I posted that last comment and I was worried that someone would come across your bullshit and have their day ruined because it went unchallenged. I genuinely hope you sort out whatever your issues are and go on to lead a happy fulfilling life. But until you do, try not to make it harder for other people. That's a dick move.

The message here is both one I can use personally, and one I will sculpt and modify for transmission to my students, kids with learning disabilities who are often facing them in a real way for the first time when they come to work with me. "Any time your experience is different than the experience you share with other people, that can be really isolating." That's powerful, and the start of self compassion. Which we all need, to manage our fears and gain the relief that comes with disclosure.

I know you made/shared this with everyone a while ago Frank- but *thank you*. Your comments concerning conversations that "bring you in line with reality" and the idea that "your experience is different than the experience that you share with other people- that can be really isolating..." really hit home. The world around me has seemed unrelatable because I have not been relating to it; I've isolated myself by not letting other people experience *my* experience, and therefore isolating myself.

I'm glad someone else sees this. I always want to give him a hug, a glass of milk and a warm brownie. And then I wonder if I'm just projecting.

    Ze,
Thank you for this, the girl I know her and I think this is the little push she needed. She has been telling me for the past weeks that every day she will say something but she never finds the right time she thinks she will wreck the moment. And I think you may have just helped her. The fact that you care so much to make this for her I just can not thank you enough you are a wonderful amazing man, Thank you x

I made myself be brave and tell my mom about the anxiety issues I've been hiding for the better part of 10 years. It was scary and caused a whole bunch of anxiety in itself, but as led to me seeing a therapist about it as well as some actual honest response when I say I'm anxious about something, instead of "well you just need to get used to it" like I'd always hear before. I'm only at the beginning of the journey but already it makes the bad reality easier to handle, until it gets not bad.

In a rough place tonight, and this felt like I was pulled into the human family and given a verbal hug. Why are comedians so in touch with life?

I really needed this right now and it is a beautiful reflection on the bravery require to speak one's truth. Thank you, ze! Your genuinity and openness are inspiring. The reminder that it's always worse in one's imagination was especially helpful. Much love.

Thank you... this could not have been timed better. I'm about to leave to go see my doctor about a major surgery I just spent the last 3 years dealing with that I might now have to repeat, and while it isn't a discussion per se, hearing your words has set me a bit more at peace. It will work out, at the very least better than the worst I can imagine.

    Ze,
I have been on RUclips for over 5 years and I've never left a comment on any video. However, it just has to be said that your videos are (for lack of better words) fucking amazing. They are inspiring, and each one moves me. Thank you for speaking from the heart and saying things that need to be said. I believe you have an impact on a lot of peoples' lives and thats truly awesome. Thank you again Ze, we appreciate you.

I love this. Such a simple message that applies in so many situations as well as every living being. Love your voice as well, so soothing. If I could choose one person to narrate my life, it would either be you or Morgan Freeman.

The hardest thing is to start "we need to talk" conversation when you know already other side will not understand... once i wrote a letter to my dad instead. Sure, he was thinking my friend talk me into that and didn't buy a word. If I was trying to talk, there was always the way to shut me up and made me cry and I knew it. Later I've learned... the conversation is not so important as attitude you have... you must never show a fear, even if you have to act. You have your point, so be brave :)!

I think the reason I love his videos is because it's funny, he puts a good amount of humor into it, but he is serious too. He always has a point in his videos, not making up random crap to try to get famous. He helps people with their small, everyday problem and he treats it like a big one that's life changing. He tells a certain truth about everything, like in the video 'Be Yourself'. I love Ze Frank, and I can't believe it's taken me this long to figure that out.

Thank you so much for these simple yet profound thoughts on bravery and saying one's truth. I have shared this video with my readers and patients in order to make the point that hiding oneself in order to feel safe is one good way to remain in an addictive relationship with food. I was deeply touched.

Ze, never change. I watched you back in 2006 (Hi Sports Racers!) and I'm so glad that you chose to take us all with you once again. You changed me seven years ago - you changed my sense of humour and my outlook on life. The internet is a much bigger, scarier place than it was back in 2006 but I'm so happy that others have the chance to discover you and your wonderful videos.
Bye bye, it's the bye bye song.

That's probably the highest form of bravery. I don't think I would've been able to do that, or make that decision. You are truly brave, and I hope you're strong enough to handle the sorrow and the pain.

Found this channel way back in 2013 when the last “a show” videos were trickling in, and I still find myself coming back to them from time to time. I’m writing this as my yellow ducky motivational poster hangs above my head, duck stamp and signature and everything. I don’t know how, but I was fortunate enough to order one just months before ze’s website went down, took a few weeks for it to arrive to the point where I thought it would never come at all, but somehow, there it hangs. After watching all of these videos, I can’t help but feel closer to ze than I’ve ever felt with anyone else in my life, and I’ve never even met the guy. I still don’t know if that’s a compliment to him, or a flaw in my character. Probably a mix of both. Either way, I hope ze realizes how big of an impact he’s had on everyone here, and I hope with my entire being that one day he starts up something like this series again.

Something about his expressions reminds me of Jim Carrey when he sits down and 'real talks' with people. There's so much sincerity in his words it's like there's no screen at all... he's actually talking to us.

This made me cry. I know what that person is going through. I remember the first time I came out, and how sudden it was and how I hadn't prepared and maybe it would have been better if I had. I also remember getting out of a dangerous housing situation that went needing the "brave" talk. Thank you for encapsulating it so perfectly.
