She's been chosen once, but didn't match. And Joan Collins makes her debut for her one and only week as a Match Game '7x celebrity panelist.
Today Richard scores his 113th H/H match, and the returning champion finally wins big! Verlie may have been a dummy but she doesn't deserve some of these horrible comments from the usual suspects. Charles had the best answer for the electric chair question
I think sometimes Brett wants Gene to kiss her like he does some of the other ladies, but he avoids it. She kept leaning and making kissing noises, but he ignored it, then she brought up Encino and he turned around and shook his head. BTW he kisses Betty a lot
Sometimes Brett can be so annoying --- almost every single time she needs the question repeated, then she talks about how easy or difficult it is coming up with an answer. Can you imagine if all 6 panelists did that each time?
Brett is ALWAYS annoying. I was a 7th-12th grade Music Educator and my 7th graders were more more attentive than her. I mentioned in various previous episodes how annoying she is with having questions needing to be repeated at least once each episode for camera time. You never see Betty White, Fannie Flagg or Arlene Francis ask for questions to be repeated. She deserves the 1st Prize Worst Award given by Charles @7:40.
I don't think she needed the questions repeated. She just wanted special attention from Gene. Unless she was half deaf, every show that I have seen, she has acted like she needed the questions repeated
I know Gene was being funny at the end of the show when he said that "Some of you will be back sometime, others will never be heard from again". There was actually some truth to that because this was Bill Macy's only week of appearances. I was rather surprised that I really enjoyed him this week more than I thought I would. Sometimes first time male celebrities in the first seat bomb.
Gene claims to be 6’1”. But Roger is 6’3” and towers over him much more than 2”. Also, many women have been as tall as Gene and even with heels, too many to count. I think Gene was obsessed with height and fibbed about his own.
Not to mention she looks like, & prob. was at one time, a man. Plus she gave one of the dumbest answers ever in Match Game history so it's only herself to be mad at & blame
