- Imagine If Sylvester Did do a 4th Season back in 1990 and then decided to leave after that. We would have had a new Doctor in 1991 :-) . Richard O' Brien was very Popular in The New Channel 4 Program The Crystal Maze at that time & he'd have Been My Choice for the 8th Doctor. :-)

You do know that the most likely choice for 8 was Richard Griffiths. A Doctor Who going into the 1990s scenario looks more authentic with Griffiths as the Eighth Doctor, after that you can do whatever you want

Saw this on your Insta story so i had to listen to the full thing .Its really good I'd absolutely love if Richard O Brien had been the next Doctor for the early 90s .Such a pitty those working on it at the time couldn't have spotted him and cast him the following year the series could have been amazing with him as the Doctor.
He would have made a great Doctor. Love the new music too. The show would have needed to take a darker turn though, more like the classic Pertwee / Baker days.
That was a really nice stripped back slowed down version of the theme tune. Put me in mind a bit of the Orbital version as well (despite that being much faster) and yes, Richard o' Brien would have been an excellent Doctor. Keep fantasy casting.

Not bad at all he’s definitely weird enough to be an alien Timelord , wouldn’t matter about the gender either as he is apparently both .
There was another guy who replaced him on the crystal maze in the last few seasons I think he'd be better
