Saying dub or dub actors are ever better than sub isn't unbelievable at all. Like, even just saying the Dragonball Z/Super dubs are better than the subs, in general, isn't really controversial. The thing is that dub or sub is purely personal preference at this point in time. They've been on par with each other for around 2 decades. Most of the time, they get as close to 1 to 1 as you can get, with fantastic performances on both ends. I usually prefer dub when available, because not only does it make multitasking more realistic, since you don't have to sit and stare at a screen for 22+ minutes straight to not miss anything, but, it also makes things easier to understand. Sometimes sub translations just don't get across the real message of a scene, and localization/translation for dubs make things easier to understand. One of the things I heard an anime reviewer say awhile back that I still remember, was about them watching the Battle of Gods movie back when it first released in sub, then watching it again and dub, and he said that he got and understood jokes that were made in both versions of the movie that didn't land in the sub. He was more easily able to appreciate it fully in dub. I watch and enjoy sub as well. There are shows where I think the sub is better/more iconic, like watching JoJo's in sub. But, I've also watched all of JoJo's in dub, and loved that too. Listening to something in your native language just makes it easier to comprehend in general. Your brain doesn't have to work as hard, so it's more natural to listen to. It still just irks me whenever people are like, "Eww, you like dub? The sub is always way better!" It's like, no, they're both pretty good, and there are exceptions on either side. One isn't always "better" than the other. The people that get that superiority complex about subs always rub me the wrong way. Just watch what want. But, never try and detract from somebody else's enjoyment of an anime. Hell, not even just anime. Any media. Games, movies, shows, etc. If you don't like it, and they do, leave it at that.
