  • In this video, we take you behind the scenes and into the review of images of a recent portrait photoshoot with an actor in NYC. Our goal was to get some good headshots, experiment with different lighting setups, and try out the Sony 85mm 1.8 lens. We also employed the Westcott FJ400, FJ80ii, and FJ-X3 to get more familiar with the Westcott lighting system. We'll go through each of the five looks from our shoot and discuss camera and light settings, and our final selections.

I love these photos. I learn so much from You, I for sure do not have the lights, talent skill. I do have a Nikon 85mm f1.8 I have used a lot for local High School Basketball Sports photos. After watching Your shoot, I pick uo My Nikon D-850, Mount the 85mm, and shall ask my Beautiful Bride of 61 years to be my model, no floor shots of course. LOL

nice photos👍 some look like the eye focus did not work 100% accurate, don't they? slightly more focus on nose or eyebrows than on the iris, while most others are pin sharp. very rarely had that with my own 85mm f/1.8 - love that lens a lot. and, of course I envy you a tiny bit for that studio, amazing 😀
