How do I get hold if you sir. Golf mk3 overheat , Changed water pump, rediator , water bottle , top cylinder reconditioned. All that needs to be fixed to clear the overheating. But somehow the mechanical side might be wrong. In need of help. GS 1.6 Carb.
The best way Dirk, is to remove the No.1 spark plug and put a long screwdriver in the plughole while you turn the crank by hand with a spanner or socket, this way you will see when the screwdriver hits the topmost point, just before it goes down again, this will be TDC.

Thank you for sharing , sir my Np200 leaks oils, it was overheating and mixing oil with water. So my mechanic advised me to not drive it anymore until it's fixed as this could damage the engen. The mechanic did what he could to fix it but now the oil leaks .Please help.
Hi Percy, one has to do a proper job to repair such a problem permanently, it sometimes requires to completely overhaul the engine with all new internal parts, especially when a car has overheated.
Thanks for the share, my np200 Dci K9KM, 2012 modal engine is bursted and i'm thinking of replacing it with a Renault Clio 2 engine. Are the two engines compatible or should i change the transmission as well?
Did you start your patreon page? Is there a link? This is great and very detailed with great tips one wouldn't know about. Where do you suggest the best place to get the parts for a np200? Oil filter removal tool, also best place for that please?
Hello, I live far away from a Nissan dealership but want to do the oil change. Its recommended that the sump plug washer gets replaced. Not sure if its fibre, aluminium or copper etc. Midas have different types so hoping to get correct dimensions. Any suggestions? Thank you

@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 thank you very much, that's a relief.. The reason for my question is because I took a car for service, now it misfire because some times it has a small vibration/shaking when driving.
Not suprising as the same engine package is used in the Sandero, making the assembly plant keep a common engine for both models is a lot cheaper, especially as then they can change production volumes easily on the lines. Nice vehicles though I prefer the old Nissan 1400, which is a very reliable vehicle, and very easy to maintain as well.
Hey Sean I can not agree with you more but with one exception, those Nissan 1400 bakkies were mechanical marvels but on a quiet night in summer you could hear them rust, Hahaha.........
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 The one at where I used to work was called "Rust In Motion" for a reason... But I was able to panel beat it back into shape after an accident using very few tools, just a hammer, spanners and pulling the panels back into position. But the engine itself was never a problem, even though the radiator at one point was just cores and no fins, it just kept on going. Service was literally a hour, more the walk to the spares shop to get the parts while the oil was draining out of the sump. Yes it was rusting, but what do you expect from a vehicle assembled on the Highveldt, and with no other corrosion protection other than the primer and first coat of paint, plus with all those cavities that pooled water. Tectyl helped a lot, but still they rust. the good looking one you see these days are just an example of how well can you hide the body putty, though yes you can buy the entire vehicle as panels quite cheaply, which i have done for another, where we replaced the rear panels, as they were more hole than panel.

I have one and it’s little monster. I learned how to work on a vehicle on it. Timing belt was the first, water pump 🙄 , lights, ICV, suspension. My first ever vehicle, never been handled by another person and it’s 9 years old this year, bought it brand new. Very easy n cheap to maintain.
Thanks for supporting my channel with your visit, Ntandazo, and sharing your experience about your Np200, just goes to show it is not a bad vehicle at all.
@@drevil2783 the tricky thing about buying a second hand car is that you never really know what has been serviced and what hasn't been, but preventative maintenance is very essential in that situation. Somewhere in the library Monre, you have to search for it.

I'm a bit baffled, why use thread tape when using a new washer.
Are there issues with oil leaks on these sump plugs?
Just a little extra insurance, Lucio, one of those just in case scenarios, "rather safe than sorry".

Thanks for the video, what oil do you recommend for NP200 petrol?
15w40 engine oil is recommended in a moderate climate, Lucio

Thanks, Nissan say they use ELf 5W 30 fully synthetic, thats pricy!
That is overkill, no oil quality can replace regular oil change intervals.
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 I agree, I only do around 8000km per year, cant afford the petrol🤣.
So I will change the oil yearly.

Hi, What will happen if I put in 3.5L of oil in the engine? what impact will it have on the vehicle?
I do not think it will have a negative effect on the engine, Motlalentoa.

Check the HT leads and coil pack, Motlalentoa, it is the most common cause for misfires on these cars.
