    Crap! The entire school? Can't get kids in here in the U.S. to even say good morning together, much less do something of this magnitude. This is awesome.

      It's because of the deep meaning it offers that a nonchalant goodmorning will never be able to offer.
      Kids (humans in general) think that meaningful things are cool.

      In NZ kids are taught to think outside the box, kids are encourage to explore and learned to its own. While in US kids are taught what not to do and what to do, because of possible insurance liabilities.

    Proud to be have been part of PNBHS, went to every prizegiving and take in the atmosphere as seen in your video truly AMAZING. Well done to the young men of PNBHS and congrats to the staff who inspire them. Kia kaha tall poppies!

    I've seen and been in a lot of hakas but this school IS haka. No one does it better.

    This fills me with joy! I wish students in the USA would adopt this tradition, what a great way to start each school day! GOD knows students can't start their day with a prayer!

      You can learn the haka if I or someone showed you how, haka gives you a huge sense of pride (mana) honor, haka is open to the World not just my culture anymore and I love that, some of our "Relatives the 1st Nations People's of North America" do the haka ..

      Hi growing up in new Zealand you love it and it's affection in certain circumstances so it's not intimidating , it depends if your on a battle field or prize giving lol we get used to haka in special occasions 😆

      Back in the days before and after the colonists came to my country, thousands of warriors did do the haka before battle, when the white man came with his armies to fight us thousands of warriors did the war cry, the colonial soldiers had never seen a Maori person let alone his haka before and a lot of them peed themselves they got so frightened ..
