Five year owner of the JVM 205. I like it and it is versatile. I haven't played it as much as other amps that I have because it gets a bit bright for my taste that I cannot always tame. I have been using some very sacrilegious recording setups (people would certainly cringe) that keep my JVM on the shelf lately, but it is still an awesome amp. Great Review!
recently picked one of these up second hand for very cheap. good amps but i found the distortion can be a be harsh depending on how you set it. For my money i would like to have seen a bit more gain on the OD mode green channel. Kinda a boosted jcm800 vs just a different flavor of 800. edited to say: I do like all three of the "clean" channel modes and the reverb is really good imo. The effects loop/s can be a little tricky to dial in depending on the effects you are using but it sounds good as well.
Have owned one for 13 years now, and other that the excessive noise on the orange and red modes of the overdrive channel, it’s been a wonderful amp.
Cool amp with a lot of features! But I’ll still go with my JCM2000 DSL.

Yall need to turn the mids way up & back down on the high/precense. The mid knob is what controls a marshall.

Whoa. Your red crunch sounds really saturated for those full chords. How did you get that toneage?
