    Yes!! I was hoping you would make a demo of the 205H as I have been eyeing it for a while now. It sounds incredible! As much as I appreciate other amps out there, nothing sounds like or beats a Marshall for me. By the way the song is amazing! It hit me right in the feels, especially around the 1:11 mark where that transition comes in. Thanks for providing some of the best content on RUclips Euge!!

    Just got this amp last week. Other than the huge difference in loudness from the Green od to orange od, i really like that amp. More of a Blues guy, but wanted to have the versatility of a Bit More amp-based gain. Perfect addition to my jtm45. More punch, more compression, more gain and cleaner Channel one. Thinking alltough to getting it modded. There are a view Good things you can do to it. Nontheless an awesone Marshall Chameleon. Great Video!!! 🤘🏻

    I have this amp jvm 205h with a 1960 cab loaded with gt1275s .it does get close to plexi tones and 800 tones . Great demo man love your channel. Love your work with Redwolf your a beast of a player. Was really cool to hear you play some melodic stuff and not just chug. The AcDc riffs were great . You obviously had great influences by great bands. Nothing like marshall but marshall.my favorite is the red mode of the clean crunch channel with a boost in front and the amber mode of the od channel. The red mode of the od channel has too much gain for my taste

    Wow another great video Euge -- I have owned 2 Marshall JVM 50 heads and they are really good amps, my 1 "minor complaint" was that the JVM head is very compressed and kinda tight when playing it (more than regular Marshalls) and did not "breath as much" as other Marshalls, it was kinda stiff to my fingers/response when playing it!...... The amp overall has a good effects loop. good tones, a fantastic Master volume (1 of best Marshalls) but it was a bit compressed and stiff, overall its a good amp but that was my 1 minor complaint.... Carry on Euge

    Fantastic as usual! I bought a JVM 205H in 2009, and promptly replaced the factory transformers with premium Mercury Magnetics and added a choke. What a wonderful amp, and what a difference the transformer upgrade made. It’s like going from mono to high fidelity. I also have a JTM 1987x, and like 205H, the more I play them the more I like them. I’ve always had an affinity for 50 watt amps due to the early breakup of power tubes. Something special about lower wattage amplifiers. My only issue with the JVM is the excess gain stacking in the orange and red modes of the overdrive channel. Spend most of my time in the Clean/Crunch channel, using red mode for gain at volume. Excellent video, and Godspeed to you my friend…

    Great demo as always! Awesome demo song too! You do love those Marshalls. Me too. They do that classic rock and metal sound we all grew up with. Having said that, we have way more options now. The JVM205H gets really close to Plexi, TSL, and even the old JCM. At least on my end, it sounded really close. I always look at the price, and where it is made. The JVM is $2,200 in the USA. It's 50 watts. It's not made in China, it's made in England. So that is great. But for the money, I would have to go with an EVH Stealth 50. They are $1,550 in the USA. The EVH is made in Mexico, which is better than China. The green and blue channels of the Stealth are fantastic. The red channel is too much gain, as we know. Another option would be the new EVH ICONIC. It is 80-watts, and the price in the USA is $999. So it is the cheapest, but the bad side is: it's made in China. We believe the ICONIC is a hybrid, but nobody has analyzed the circuits yet, and EVH is not saying anything. It only has 2 pre-amp tubes, which makes me suspicious. It also seems to have a harsh fizzy top-end. I am still waiting for you to get your hands on one. You are the only guy I trust to give a proper honest review of it.

    Basically, JVM is very similar to JCM800, because it’s circuitry is based on JCM800 circuit. There are some “whistles and bells” added, like advanced switching system, more gain without need of any external drive, MIDI … but in the core, it’s almost the same. I’m happy JVM215C owner (1x12 combo version of this amp) 👍🎸

    There is plenty mods for the JVM over on the Marshall forums, if that's your thing. Plexi mod, A blacface mod, a boogie mod and a negative feedback mod, to name a few. Santiago, the dude that designed the amp pops his head up as well, talking about amp and what's possible, mods wise

      Hey Euge, I’m the same but I have a JVM 215C and to reduce the gain on OD yellow and red channels, just stick a reverse 12DW7 which JJ sells as ECC823 in V1 tube. Half triode 12AX7, half 12AU7. Much more usable and you get gain with a bit more body. All other channels are not affected as they only use half of V1 and that’s the 12AX7 side. Simple and so effective.

Also would you also pair a Bugera PS1 for home lower volume to be used into a Marshall 1960 Vintage Cab. Thank you for your time and expertise. Always very well done and helpful videos. Great licks!

    • @BetonBenni

      @@primeDecomposition no choke, but it's not the same mod like all the JVMs from the Marshall forum.
      Less gain, the red channels gain is where the orange was before.
      No volume jump between green and orange. Way more dynamic and open sound. Less compression. The crunch channel comes really close to a 800 now. The amp is less muddy and just more alive. He changes several things, don't know what he did exactly though.
      A guy from session music in Germany (Oliver Lohmann) and a tech (service für Musiker Frankfurt) did this mod together...

    I used to own the JVM210H but sold it, most of the gain comes from the preamp tubes and even with the master volume on full it doesn't bring much of the power amp tubes into the sound and sounds a bit fizzy, it's not as full or clear sounding as a JCM800 or other models and I didn't really like the clean channel either. There are better multi-channel Marshalls, but with a couple of changes these would be much better amps.

    Hi euge , great Video agai . Love your Chanel. Betten than TV on the Couch 🙏😂 .
    I bought yesterday an jcm 800 2203 and already got an vintage modern .
    I played the sd1 in Front of the vintate modern and the Rest i the loop . As a gate i Use the Boss ns2 in the loop .
    The 2203 doesent have a loop and all of it in Front sounds Not so tight with the ns 2 ...... what noise gate would you think is better ? An isp ? Tc Sentry ?
    Thanks a lot

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  2 года назад +1

      Thanks man! Glad to hear!
      I use a gate only to reduce the hiss from SD-1 so not as a gate at all. NS-2 works just great. And for my purposes pretty much anything works that just reduces the hiss sligtly.
      Fortin Zuul is great too ’cos it has the key input so it can track the signal directly from the guitar and then have it after the pedals just to reduce hiss. I have it setup to zero so it’s not gating at all.
      My way of getting a tight sound is just to play tight as F and use as little gain as I dare 💪😎.

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  Год назад +1

      Not at all. Amps really doesn’t have a sound but just amplify the sound they’re getting which is up to the player to create. SD-1 just gives the signal a bit of a boost on the way in. To me it just gives my sound a kick I like and then the amplifier amplifies that. Different amps do amplify the sound different way but in general I sound like myself no matter the amp / gear.
