- Do cats like catnip or silvervine better? Summer gives both catnip and silver vine a try in this funny video. The contenders: a Yeowww! catnip rainbow and a matatabi stick (silvervine and matatabi are the same thing). Let’s see which one wins - it was actually pretty close!

There are small bags that have a mix of both catnip and silvervine, and they went nuts and was looking for it after I took it away. A mix solution is potent.
Mine doesn’t seem to feel the catnip at all but loves silvervine sticks and powder 😻
I wonder if she’d respond differently if the toys were more similar? She seemed quite intrigued by the silvervine stick when you were holding it. But the rainbow was easier to play with on the ground
That's something to think about. Maybe I need an actual silvervine infused toy! (hint, hint!)

I think I would call that a tie. She seemed to enjoy both. And then she seemed to want a nap. Judging looks like an exhausting job 😁

A tip for the silvervine: the sticks are more effective if you take the bark off. I use an ordinary potato peeler. At least take the bark off an inch or so at both ends. If you can do the whole stick without cutting yourself, so much the better.

We have a few Yeoww bananas that are still going strong even though looking a bit rough. I think the rainbow is probably more fun to bunny kick and play with!
I don't usually bunny kick it, but I do lick it every morning to get the day started! My human says I'm "waking and baking!"

You're still a youngster... sometimes it takes a while for cats to like catnip.
I have never heard of Silvervine but now I’m definitely going to check out getting some for my cat. Looks like Summer liked both.

Our "Boys," brother Tabbies; both reacted to catnip when they were about 3 1/2 months old.
They especially like their yellow banana, and the silvervine sticks.
I just now ordered them up a new batch of the silvervine sticks, as I suspect the pack we've had are old & stale.
So good for them to chew, too...

Ok, since we have seen this video we are definitely going to get our mom to order both for us. I gotta tell ya though, most of us go CRAZY for banana YEOWY toys. Only a couple of us show no interest. This should be so much fun to try too! What a great video, you definitely had us guessing. Purrs
