I've been organizing a small festival twice a year, and I understand what she is talking about, it's the organic part of bringing people together. I've had DJs who can't read the crowd, winds up bumming people out instead of lifting them up from the chairs to dance. Inviting the right people is also key, usually these are celebrities, bands, artists, activists, they are called influencers and if you pick the right ones, they will attract their market to your festival, and at the end of the day the people attending the festival is what will make it or break it
Hey Joseph. Are you able to double your money producing these events? Im trying to put one together but if i get 500 people at $20 a head its only 10k. That sounds too little. No?
@@rickpcp it's difficult to make money off of festivals, usually tickets cover the event costs. You can also reduce costs with sponsorships. Now, your money maker could be from selling beer, or food, or charging a percentage to whoever is selling it.
@@JayBe1992 thank you bro! I appreciate the info. I thought i was calculating wrong. I see now. The entry fee covers your cost. I gotta sell other shit to make profit. Water or food, parking and merch is a huge part to make profit. I really appreciate the help!

@@dufiasem start small, create a loyal community, make sure the entertainment matches your community. We have a saying #LaPartySonUstedes which means you are the party (the people who attend) its all about the experience they go home with that will determine if they come back.
