- Each headlight of Audi HD Matrix LED integrates 32 small, individually controllable light-emitting diodes. They are arranged in two rows in a common housing. Thanks to the new configuration and to a low beam that is also variable, the HD Matrix LED headlights illuminate the road particularly dynamically and precisely.
Night Vision Assist uses an infrared camera to detect pedestrians and larger wild animals at long distances in the dark and warns the driver. If a hazardous situation is detected, a warning sound is emitted. A warning symbol appears in the instrument cluster as well as in the head-up display. Depending on the situation persons are illuminated with three short flashes of Matrix LED lighting system.
Here you have the Audi HD Matrix LED and Night Vision Assist real-life test (review). It is as optional equipment for: Audi A6, A7, Q8. In Audi A8 you have similar system but headlights can have also laser module with doubles the range of the high beam. The video footage was recorded in Audi A6.

I'm a bmw driver. My car is a bmw 525d f11. The car has adaptive led too. But the audi matrix led is a little bit better as bmw adaptive led. The matrix led light is more precisely. Thank you for this video.

I’m in Ottawa Canada. When I drive my 2006 a6 with adaptive lighting, people get offended at the beams and start blinding me with their high beams. Can’t wait to see local’s reaction to the new Matrix LED system. Great video!
I've got the same gen A6 but without the flash lighting system, just the standard BiXenons. Are the adaptive/curving ones any good?

Not Audi, their suppliers - possibly Valeo for the lights and Kostal for the camera that provides sensor input to control them in this case.

I'm currently driving a G31 5 series with adaptive LED but I have to admit: those HD-Matrix from Audi are one step ahead. With headlights like this, you don't need nightvision anymore tbh.
no, I would still prefer having night vision, as it sees warm objects before your eyes and can react faster
Last year i was on trip to Croatia with my pregnet wife and 1 year old baby, with my audi a3 2014 whitch have halogen headlights. When i was in Austria, driveing 130 at night, no trrafic, on highway, i slamd on dead dog or something (15-20kg) with my right side of car. I rly dont know how nothing have happend. I saw last 1 sec of dog and haveing no time to react. From then, i have swear to my self to buy next car with Matrix system. Safety, not prestige.

At 5:22 the car told you there was a pedestrian, but still you didn't stop, do you need 8K LED Matrix Reloaded?
Can you project night vision on the HUD? Seems awkward looking down to the instrument cluster all the time.
Unfortunately it is not possible. But also: not necessary, because you should not look at it all the time. Every alert you have also on a HUD

This particular car did not have it. It is an option to Q7, Q8, A8 and A7. I do not understand your second question.
Now test the non HD Version and tell the differences, that would be great.

HD Matrix only has more LEDs which allows the system and the headlights to work better when there's traffic so the object get's better cut out

Tyle przykładów, a jakoś brakuje mi pokazania momentu nagle pojawiającego się auta z naprzeciwka gdy auto świeci matrixami na FULL. Chodzi mi o typowy czas reakcji, w całym filmie jest tylko jeden przykład 0:42, chyba większość podobnych systemów bardzo dobrze sobie radzi z jazdą za autem i poprawnie wycinając auto. Dla mnie najważniejszy jest czas reakcji nagle pojawiającego się auta, to jest kluczowe w tych systemach. Szkoda że jest tylko jeden przykład, ciekawe też jak te matrixy radzą sobie z wyłaniającym się Tirem zza wzniesienia czy jest w stanie wykryć górne światła na ciężarówce.

Love it！Can you make a video about audi laser lights？
It is the same but after few seconds driving with high beam 100% ON (without any other car on the road) you have additional part of a strong light directly in front of you. It is very, very difficult to show it on a youtube (compression, camera etc.)

Has audi a6/a7/a8 gesture control like in bmw for volume control and other. Aslo can you film 3d camera system and remote park on a6.
Shame designer's only think of the driver, not the rest of the driving public who have to put up with the reflective glare, especially in wet conditions.

Many drivers will appreciate the Matrix future but for my personally it's to nervous. I do like the standard LED headlights and maybe even more the bi-xeon lights on my former A4 B7. They were 4300K and not as could as the LEDs are.
Dear Mr. 1001cars, I have a serious question. Please respond asap, if possible, my wife and I test driving Q7 prestige w/ laser light tomorrow, with possible purchase. After watching this amazing video with the C@@L laser light AND ANIMAL/PERSON ALERT. My question and concern IS: When driving w/ LL on and you are driving by all the signs, ONE, does the reflective light bouncing back BLIND YOU? And can you actually read the LARGE direction signs above the highway and would not BLIND you from reading what exit to take? The information would be great to know! The price tag is $88k. Thank you for your time, respond and video!
No, it does NOT blind me. The reason why you may think it is bright is the way how camera records it. In reality it is not as bright it it looks on the video. But of course, you have to remember that every person has their own eyesight so the situation can be felt differently

Audi is terribly bad. Poor quality, especially in non-visible places. Cheap electronics from China. Unreliable software. Terrible value for money.
Conclusion:
An Audi will give you more trouble than fun. 👎
